Who is saying anything about a departed soul? I guess all are discussing what Kanda has done.
I was watching this news story in office during lunch and a female colleague remarked "yeh to shakal se hi rapist lagta hai". Couldnt help but chuckle.
Kanda is no angel, but I am surprised at the parents of the girl who didnt see anything wrong in her quick promotions and how a a 50 yr old govt minister was trying to be on such good terms with them. Politicians and businessmen seldom help anybody or show favor without the possibility of getting anything in return. If the parents had thought this through they would have realized his game and could have potentially saved the girl's life.
But this also doesnt absolve Kanda. Looks like he misused his power to pressurize the girl on a number of occasions and this finally led to her suicide. Now Kanda will only be brought to justice if he falls out of favour with Hooda and the party. If the party still supports him nobody can touch him but if he isnt required by the party he will be left to fend for himself against the law. Hooda hasnt made a statement uptill now I believe, apart from his initial reaction. His comments to the media will probably give an indication if or not Kanda will be brought to justice.

Three days after three minor girls appeared before camera and made shocking allegations of molestation against Manav Dass, general secretary of Apna Ghar, Karnal,the police today booked him in two cases on a fresh complaint lodged by Aniruddh, father of the girls, and other inmates and arrested him.
A case was registered in the Sadar police station under Sections 376, 323, 342, 506, 120 b while another case was registered under Sections 323 and 342 of the IPC and Section 26 of the Juvenile Justice Act, after 11 inmates alleged that they were being beaten, Shashank Anand, SP, said.
The police had already registered a case under Sections 323 and 342 of IPC against Monica Dias, Director of Apana Ghar on the complaint of some inmates.
Eleven inmates, including five girls and six boys, were shifted to Nirmal Dham and Madhuban Ashram on the pretext that the shelter home did not have enough space and was overcrowded.
The girls reiterated the allegations after they were shifted and gave similar statements in the court.
The registration of two FIRs against Manav Dass coincided with the visit of state Director general of department of Women and Child Development, Sumita Mishra who said that “action would be taken in case the father of the girls or the girls made a fresh complaint and the same would be treat as an FIR”.
Aniruddh made a fresh complaint and repeated the allegations of molestation and maltreatment and the police registered a case in Sadar police Station.
Three minor gilrs, all sisters, who came on camera had accused a top functionary of Karnal Apna Ghar of taking them to his house and abused them.
The father of the girls, Anirudh, a poor labourer from Bihar, said that he had left his three minor daughters and two sons in Apna Ghar as he did not have enough means to bring up the children. However, during his subsequent visits to Apna ghar he found that the behaviour of his daughters had changed and they were quiet and looked frightened.
Sumita Mishra today also made a surprise visit to other shelter homes like Nirmal Dham, Nari Niketan and Madhuban Ashram and talked to the inmates. Harish Arya, president of the Fight for Justice Club, has demanded a high-level inquiry into the allegations of exploitation and molestation of the inmates and said the children who had made the complaints were vulnerable.

जे इनलो की सरकार होती ... एर कांडा इस केस में फस जाता तो सारे कान्ग्रेस्सी लठ दे देते मुख्मंत्री के.... की भाई राजनितिक साजिश के तहत फसाया स....एर जनता भी फस जाती इनके मायाजाल में.... लेकिन कांडा का काण्ड तो कांग्रेस की सरकार में इ चौड़े चपाड़ सब के आगे आ गया....
I agree. In fact I was expecting some Hooda govt minister to come on TV and state that this is all done by the opposition to demean the party. Hasnt happened yet but could happen.
Just read that Kanda will be questioned today. He could be arrested but even if that happens its almost guaranteed he will get instant bail. The case will then get dragged on untill the govt changes in Haryana. If not, then it will be buried.

Why it has not happened, is because
1. Mr Kanda won as an Independent candidate from Sirsa. He is not / can not be officially a Congress person till he is an Independent MLA in current house.
2. Also, congress is almost sure that this guy is really involved and no one wants to claim innocence as it will be proved wrong.
3. As discussed earlier in this thread -- he was more of a burden for CM now a days as Congress already has its required numbers in assembly.

Gurgaon: People may now watch Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana in Haryanavi dialects as the entire serial has been dubbed in the Haryanvi, which will be telecast from October 5 on Haryana news channel.
Haryana Home Minister Gopal Kanda on Monday said, “For years I have been trying to present the Haryanvi version of Ramayana to people and finally the efforts have paid off.”
He further stated that during the dubbing process it was ensured that there was no change in the basic intent of the Holy Scripture. Harvinder Malik was entrusted with the task of dubbing the Ramayana into Haryanavi dialects. Malik said the entire exercise will not only boost the use of Haryanvi dialects in the literature but prove to be matter of pride for the people of the state.

राजकीय नेशनल कालेज के विद्यार्थियों ने पूर्व गृह राज्यमंत्री गोपाल काडा की गिरफ्तारी की मांग को लेकर कालेज परिसर में पुतला फूंका। इसके बाद विद्यार्थियों ने डीसी के मार्फत सरकार को ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने मांग की है कि कांडा को जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार किया जाए तथा उनकी सदस्यता को रद किया जाए।
गुरुवार सुबह कालेज में पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थियों की परिसर में भीड़ एकत्रित होने लगी। विद्यार्थियों ने पहले गोपाल कांडा के खिलाफ जमकर नारेबाजी की तथा गिरफ्तारी की मांग दोहराई। छात्र नेता सुनील मिड्डा का कहना था कि गीतिका हत्याकांड मामले में कांडा का नाम उजागर हुआ है। इससे पूरे सिरसा के लोगों को अपमानित होना पड़ रहा है। गुलशन ने कांडा की गिरफ्तारी में देरी पर सवाल उठाया।
इस मौके पर सुनील मिड्डा व गुलसन मिड्डा के अलावा रमन, हनुमान सिंह, अनिल गोदारा, कपिल, रमेश, सुमीत, ललीत, विनोद, विजय, मनोज आदि विद्यार्थी मौजूद थे।

एयर होस्टेस गीतिका शर्मा खुदकशी मामले में सिरसा के युवक मनदीप की गुडगांव में गिरफ्तारी की खबर के बाद उसके परिजन सन्न हैं। रिश्तेदारों का मनदीप के घर जमघट होने लगा है। मनदीप की मां यह मानने को कतई तैयार नहीं है कि उसका बेटा कसूरवार है।
बुधवार दोपहर टीवी चैनलों में जैसे ही सिरसा के मनदीप की गिरफ्तारी की खबर प्रसारित हुई, वैसे ही शहर के शिव चौक बडौदा बैंक वाली गली स्थित रणधीर सिंह के घर रिश्तेदारों और जानकार लोगों का आना-जाना शुरू हो गया। इस मामले में अपडेट लेने के लिए देर शाम तक मनदीप के परिजन टीवी पर नजरें गड़ाए बैठे रहे।
दैनिक जागरण से बातचीत में मनदीप की मां सुखविंद्र कौर ने कहा कि साढ्ढा मुंडा बेकसूर है। उसे यकीन है कि मनदीप ऐसा काम नहीं कर सकता है।

सिविल लाइन स्थित कांडा के आवास व एमडीएलआर कार्यालय में बृहस्पतिवार को कुछ हलचल रही। उनके समर्थकों को उम्मीद थी कि गोपाल कांडा को अग्रिम जमानत मिल जाएगी, लेकिन शाम को जैसे ही जमानत याचिका खारिज होने की खबर मिली वैसे ही उनके आवास व कार्यालय पर सन्नाटा पसर गया। जो थोड़े बहुत कर्मी नजर आ रहे थे वो भी इस निर्णय के बाद नदारद हो गए। हालांकि आवास व कार्यालय पर रोज की भांति सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर दर्जन भर पुलिसकर्मी तैनात नजर आए। आवास के दोनों ओर यानि निगम कार्यालय व एडीसी आवास के समीप पुलिस कर्मी तैनात थे। इन दोनों जगह बैरिकेट्स भी रखे हुए थे। कारण यदि पूर्व मंत्री के विरोध में प्रदर्शन हुआ तो प्रदर्शनकारियों को कांडा के आवास तक जाने से रोका जा सके।
