NEW DELHI: Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Friday attacked "[COLOR=#0000FF !important]Gujarat model[/COLOR] of development" promoted by BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and said [COLOR=#0000FF !important]Gujarat[/COLOR] has one of the highest per capita debt in the country.


"Gujarat government has highest per capita debt liability which means every citizen of Gujarat has more debt to pay than citizen of any other state," Digvijaya Singh said on Friday.

"Would Modi acolytes please respond?" he asked.

"Yes, they would with more 'galis' (abuses). No issue. [COLOR=#0000FF !important]Gujarat Model of Development[/COLOR] must come in public domain," he said.

Digvijaya Singh quoted the Planning Commission to say that outstanding liability in Gujarat was 25.20 per cent of the gross state domestic product, compared to 24.13 per cent in all states.

I know Mukul Sinha who runs that website. We were colleagues at PRL Ahmedabad for an year. He is a leftist and was a union leader and had to be kicked out. He is doing his own politics as an ally of congress. I am a bit shocked that Jatland is becoming a wall where propaganda posters of some other website are being posted. Better would be to write one's own views and give references to the sources. Hope moderators look into this and see if this is covered by Jatland policies.

yes he is. But that does not prove he is right. Lawyers are known to defend even well known criminals.

I daresay, this won't be the first time people have posted views from another website. If our own views and arguments were the sole criteria for posting on JL, there would be a drastic drop in posts.
