JATs are OBC now in Center:Cabinet Clears Jat reservation

Hi Jat Folks,

Good news to all of you that Union Cabinet in its last meeting has just cleared Jat Reservation in Central Government jobs and education institutions.
 
Cabinet clears Jat reservation today.

Union Cabinet on Sunday cleared the ordinance for Jat reservation in government jobs. Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, the government decided to include the Jat community in the central list of OBCs in nine states, a move that is expected to benefit about nine crore people from the community. The decision would pave the way for the community members to avail benefits of reservation in central government jobs and central education institutions as per the existing norms. The Central list of OBCs for the states of Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarrakhand, Uttar Pradesh and the National capital territory of Delhi will include the Jat community.

नई दिल्ली : सरकार ने जाट समुदाय को अन्य पिछडे वर्ग के कोटा के तहत आरक्षण को आज मंजूरी दे दी। प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह की अध्यक्षता में हुई केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल की बैठक में इस आशय के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दी गई।

चुनाव से ऐन पहले किये गये इस फैसले पर कांग्रेस ने हालांकि इन आरोपों से इनकार किया कि सरकार जाटों को लुभाने की कोशिश कर रही है। सूचना प्रसारण मंत्री मनीष तिवारी ने कहा कि हर चीज को चुनाव के लेंस से नहीं देखना चाहिए। ये मांग काफी लंबे समय से हो रही थी, जिसे कैबिनेट ने मंजूर किया है।

देश के नौ उत्तर भारतीय राज्यों में बसे जाट समुदाय के लोग लंबे समय से अन्य पिछडे वर्ग (ओबीसी) के तहत आरक्षण की मांग कर रहे थे। कई बार इसे लेकर हिंसक आंदोलन भी हुए। हरियाणा, दिल्ली, पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश, पंजाब, राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश और देश के कुछ अन्य हिन्दी भाषी राज्यों में जाटों की उपस्थिति है। (एजेंसी)
 
We salute Sandeep Karwasra !!!

[wiki]Sandeep Karwasra[/wiki] lost his life on 6 March 2012 for Reservation in Jobs for OBC in Haryana. He was from Mayyar village in Hisar district of Haryana. He had lost his life in a Jat-police clash on March 6, 2012.

He should be given due honour on coming 6 March.

Decision of Union Cabinet to include Jats in Central OBC list must be welcomed. It is a historical decision and help our community to prosper and increase their representation in high level jobs and quality educational institutes.

But there is one reason to worry about...NCBC which was asked to examine the demand for reservation has given divided report. Therefore decision of Union Cabinet may be challenged.

But still we hope demand of Jats is justified and like other agricultural communities we also deserve reservation.
 
कुछ ब्राहम्णवादी विचारधारा वाले जाट भाई कह रहे है कि हम obc मेँ आ गये हमारी चौधराहट छिन गयी। हमने मेहनत मेँ विश्वास करना छोड़ दिया। जाट पिछड़े नहीँ हो सकते। आदि आदि बाते कुछ लोगोँ ने शुरु कर दी है। पर इस प्रकार की बातेँ वे लोग कर रहे है जो ज्यादा पैसे वाले है, शहरो मेँ रहते है, गाँव मेँ बस टूर के तौर पर घूमने जाते है, किसान, मजदूर के बारे मे गूगर पर पढ़ते है। जो वास्तविकता से बहुत दूर की दुनिया मेँ जी रहे है।
उनको पहली बात तो मैँ ये बता दूँ कि जाट पहले से ही सभी राज्योँ मेँ obc मेँ आते है। इसमेँ अगर केन्द्र मेँ भी obc मे आ जाते है तो कौन सी आफत आ गयी।
दूसरी बात obc मेँ क्रिमी लेयर और नॉन क्रीमी लेयर दो तरह की कैटेगिरी होती है। जिनकी सालाना आय 6 लाख तक है उनको ही आरक्षण लाभ मिलेगा। अतः यह गरीब, किसान जाटोँ के लिए ही है।
तीसरी बात पहले हमारे युवा 50% लोगोँ से मुकाबला करते थे अब 77% लोगोँ से करेँगेँ। तो मुकाबला बढ़ा है ना कि घटा है। और आरक्षण का हमारा उद्देश्य भी मुकाबले को बढ़ाना ही था।
चौथी बात अगर आपको आरक्षण से ज्यादा एलर्जी है तो आप अपना obc मत बनवाना और सामान्य से ही नौकरी के लिए आवेदन करना।
पांचवी बात अगर आप गाँव मेँ खेती करने वाले किसान कि समस्या को नहीँ जानते। अगर आपने सारे दिन खेत मे काम करके पढ़ने वाले उस युवा के बारे मेँ नहीँ सुना, अगर आपने भर्ती के लिए लगी लंम्बी कतारोँ को नहीँ देखा, अगर आपने मेहनत के बावजूद बेरोजगार युवा को नहीँ देखा तो आप आरक्षण का विरोध भी मत कीजिए। अगर किसी के दुख को कम नहीँ कर सकते तो बढ़ाईये भी मत। राजनीतिक पार्टियोँ के चक्कर मेँ कम से कम कौम का तो नुकसान मत करोँ।

Snapshot of final advise from NCBC is here for your reference... NCBC has rejected the request right away.. no mixed recommendation.. the cabinet decision for sure is going to be challenged in court looking at the list of people represented the group against this request

Dont go by that as such. NCBC advice was not completely binding to the cabinet. There cant be stay on it alike Muslim reservation.
 
But samar bhai people opposing it will take this as their tool to challenge the decision in court.. then it would be important how it is defended thr.

If it is true and can stand in the courts, it will be good for the community.

Btw, how come govt can not ask its own NCBC to give advice in favor? Yaha pe bhi raajniti to nahi hai ?

I posted a 1999 link about reservation in Rajasthan. It was an almost similar situation and Vajpayi govt done the same in 1999. Don't worry. There it would govt's fight. Not ours. Next govt , I am sure, won't dare to de-notify it for next 5 years or so. You bet. Cabinet clearance was main thing and legally NCBC advice is not completely binding.

If you read the report page by page you will understand it. I was present there and there was this Saini member of NCBC was talking all non-sense. He is allegedly a Shailja's insider. Morever, ''in favour'' representation was said to be of 51 where as ''in against'' was 58 for Haryana.They have published all 58 names where as not 51. I myself saw the register entery. We were many than 51 but they didn't. So main fight was through Cabinet's clearance. It will be challenged for sure but as its not completely binding, supreme court cant stay it in one go. Govt will fight its case. Not us.

Lekin Samar Bhai, existing penal to yeh hai NCBC ka. Aur is penal mein jyaadatar Congress ke MP ya leaders hain.... Fir bhi sarkaar apne khud ke leaders ko convince nahi kar paayi?

Aur Shailja kunn si bahar tein aayi s.... Congress ki e to s.... ya fir yeh Jat reservation bhi Rahul Gandhi ka ek aur "Pappu task" to nahi ho gaya taawal ke chakkar mein !

Fer bhi bhai naye commission mein bhi to "Congressi Chamche" e bitha raakhe honge commission mein ya kisi aur party ke they?

I am not aware of much of their history brother. You got to read the report patiently which is of 130 plus pages. You will find interesting and laughable things in it by other communities. One of which is that jats are physical powerful and they have wrestlers like Dara Sigh, Chandgi Ram hence they dnt deserve reservation.
 
I read it.. and even they named few actors and players from the community which can be easily countered.. but what bothered me more than those non-sense arguments is final decision which you say is not binding.. (hopefully!!!)
