Govt bhi to aise hi salary deti, kuchh qualified log to contact pe 5-10 thousand mein kaam karte hain kuchh log lakhon mein salary lete hain. Ye companies ko kya rectify karenge

Are you sure they get same salary in these countries ? Let me give you some idea about USA;

1. mason 10-17 $/ hour
3. Nurse: $ 30-35/ hr
3. Waiters at McD: $ 5-6/ hr
4. CEO of MNC: $300-3000 / hr + many benefits for self and family.

If you have any doubts , please google and do some research on the salaries of various categories of professionals in USA.

Does there not exist something called 'minimum wages'?
I agree with what Aman Kadian has said above.
Mason (bricklayers) make no less than $40-50/hr here in Aus. Moreover, they're sole traders hence no tax deducted at source. They (almost all) cook the books and end up with nearly $35-38/hr after tax wages.
Nurses - I agree. Again, their wages are commensurate with their experience. What you said above is the starting salary.
McDonalds pay minimum $16/hr.
You'd be surprised to know that a humble looking job of a lollipop man pays to the tune of $50/hr on weekends.
Most exploited are the car wash workers (95% Indians). For a back breaking work of an hour they're paid measly amount ($5-6/hr.)

All this comparison is with USA /Australia and other democratic countries and not with Communist Country.
USA /Australia are not the country of Karl Marx or Friedrich Engels.
There is nothing wrong in adopting good from these countries for goodwill of society .

" Does there not exist something called 'minimum wages'?"

There is a minimum wages act as per Labor Law & Shop-Establishment Act . All Organizations have to abide by this .......there are routine Labor Inspector and External auditor checks to which organization has to comply .

( Please ab ......corruption ka point mat start karna ....over this )

every wrong decision of driver kill you

Dear sister. A software eng can't build house. Uske liye aapko Mistri hi chiye

I personally feel every work have same value, Samaj main vp vp hoge to wo bhuke mar jayege. Samaj hi tab banta hai jab usmain her kaam karne walo ko . So respect every work and worker. value is same.

Australia, United states, Ireland, Kuwait, United states example of it.

ager salary same hogi to crime bhi bahut kam hoga, corruption kam hoga.

very sensible post!!..

In other countries Drivers live a normal life but in India they live very bad life and no respect.

In India for even a simple Manager it is very easy to hire a driver and maid . Can a soft professional hire a driver and maid in USA so easily ?

See how strong are the rules in USA for labors , drivers , maid .

Bilkul sahi baat!

obviously... har kaam respectable hai... and social structure mai har kaam ki respect honi chahiye... but har cheez potential difference se chalti hai... if you bring everyone and every job profile on the same platform in terms of respect and money... than this world will fail...

tell me a small question do you feel proud being JAT? and why?

You get it wrong. Aman is not advocating for the same salary for a VP and driver. He is talking about respect and at least the money so that a driver can live a high normal life keeping his head high and I think you should not have any objection in that. Height of capitalism is also bad for a country. Do you still want to see India as a nation where rich people look naked and impoverished children with disdain?

Disparity does exists, compare it on PPP terms.

A taxi driver of US/AU can comfortably walk and buy as it pleases in the shopping mall etc. Take his family on overseas tourist destinations.

But has anyone here seen our drivers/auto wallas shopping in a mall, planning a trip to Goa, Kerla, Kashmir etc? Even taking his family out for a nice dinner.

There are a lot of direct and indirect factors at play here, for instance:

A) Language: All these countries where you see the difference speak the same language as work language - unlike India where rich and poor's difference is visible from the way people speak.
B)Classification of labor: In US and other countries construction workers, or even truck drivers are skilled workers who undergo proper training and are respected for it where as in India it is not so.
C) Attitude towards work: No work is big or small, you are respected for your work, not for what work you do where as in India it is absolutely opposite
D) Minimum wages: Minimum wages in India are a joke and one of the reasons of that is poor implementation. In US every employer is mandated to post minimum wages requirements in their offices, and they follow rules

But the most important point, which is in sync to minimum wages is purchase parity and easy access to cheap line of credit. For example, average per hour wage is $8 and it costs the same to eat a meal in a medium scale restaurant. In India a worker can at best ears 200 or 300 a day, and that is what it will cost him to eat a meal at a similar standard restaurant.

Average salaries are 50-60K in US, and a BMW 3 series costs 30K and above, half of your salary. A software engineer in India will earn 10 or 15 Lakhs? A BM costs 3 times his salary and not to mention heavy maintenance price.
