Exit polls, Results and who is who in Haryana Vidhan Sabha 2014

What are your concluding remarks after going through all this ?

RK^2

A) Winning the state was the only goal for BJP
B) There is nothing called Morality when it comes to winning elections for BJP(same for others too, only the degree of immorality differs)
C) It is easier to fool Haryana population(not just Jats) by outsiders than others may think

My point wise rebuttal;

1. What is wrong with that ? Every party enters the election arena with same goal.

2. Do other parties or even individual politicians follow the so called moral code ? If copy of the so called moral code is available, please post it.

3. Calling people fools just because results are not to your liking is no justification. People are smart and have made smart choice. If BJP does not deliver, rest assured the same fools will kick them out. People won't spare even Modi.

Sabhi 7 BJP ke Jat MLAs ne Vote of Confidence Motion ke against vote karni chahiye.

Agar ye BJP wale DEMOCRACY ka mis use karke ANTI-JAT Mahol bana kar jeet te hain to we should also use democratic power to defeat them.

No worry even if expelled. They will win their seats in by-election without doubt.

We are in agreement on first 2 points(edited my post too but it seems you had replied by then), but let me differ on the third one.

I did not call others fool(they are smart in their own right) because results are not as per my liking, but because the reasons they voted for are not clear and here is a look at main points:

Development: BJP promised development but their claim was hollow as Haryana is already #1 in a lot of areas. Modi's speeches were proven wrong on multiple occasions - including the one on per capita income. If people still voted for those who never understood their state, what would you call them?

Non-congress, INLD Agenda: 17 tickets were given to outsiders from other parties- if people had to be anti those parties why would they vote for these people. E.g. Virender Singh's wife?

Non jat agenda: BJP has a history of being anti-jat, they clearly said Capt Abhimanyu might not be the CM and still Jats voted for them- what would you call them then?

Pro Haryana Agenda: Most of the BJP cadre, including poll agents were outsiders. People chose a party which does not even have a base in the state.

Corruption: What happened to Vadra whose issue, if at all were true affected Haryana the most. Modi has not delivered on any of his promises including black money or Vadra or DLF, and if people still believed that what would you call them?

Again, I am not calling them fools but failing to understand why would such a smart voting population choose BJP when nothing they stood for in elections was either pro-Haryana, or close to being truth or even pro-jat.

Instead of criticizing your brothers, why don't you do something about it?

Let all the brothers on Jatland see what you do to stop a Non-Jat as CM.

Many Jat brethren from other states would never understand that Haryanvi Jats will not welcome any Non Jat CM. They take it lightly because they have been habitual of being ruled by a non-jat because of many reasons. Hence they tend to rationalise it with whatsoever self-esteem (or lack of it ?) they got out of the years of ruling by non jats. So on this point at least they must not impose their Martian and Noble prize winning ideas on Haryanvi jats. If it hurts you, it shall be,so be it. If this refugee becomes the CM of the Jatland, I am sure there would be cascade of anarchy to the dismay of Shah And Modi.

I guess, he and many others did try to stop this by not voting for a party that is known for being anti-jat when others were questioning them for doing so and calling such folks traitors of country.

No doubt it has not been very helpful to see that a Jat is not the CM of Haryana this time.

What can be done right now? Well, practically nothing and at the same time, a lot.

We can analyse and learn from the mistakes so that in future we do not repeat those mistakes.

1. With just 6-7 Jat MLA's out of 47 ( around 15 %) can one demand a Jat CM from the BJP? With more than 80 percent Jat votes going against BJP, can Jats demand a Jat CM from the BJP? Where has all the rationality and logic disappeared. We need to be practical and start living in the real world. We don't vote for BJP and still demand a Jat CM from the BJP? Heights of being foolishly simplistic.

Capt. Abhimanyu a deserving Jat CM hopeful no doubt is a dejected person today. Out of the about 27 seats from where Jats were fielded by BJP Jats only elected 7 Jat candidates. That's around 15 % of the total seats of the 47 BJP seats. Had Jats got around 20 seats or more on BJP ticket, Capt. Abhimanyu would have been in a better bargaining position to dictate his terms in the interest of the community. But we let him down by voting for the Congress and the INLD. We have let Capt. Abhimanyu down. Despite the people of Narnaund having elected him and that too thankfully, we as a community have let him down. And the height of immaturity - we still demand a Jat CM after having voted for COng and INLD? We have let go our only chance of having a Jat BJP CM. Now let's not make a laughing stock of ourselves by making immature demands.

2. Despite a few leaders here and there, our community did not join BJP and hence evidently there was no cadre and no Jat leadership built over the years. As far as Jats are concerned, there was a vacuum in Haryana BJP.

3. Successive Jat CMs came to power on Jat votes, but did little for the Jat masses in particular. Most of the Jat CMs treated the state as their personal Jagir/estate and placed a few handpicked men on top positions while cutting themselves from their Jat roots till the next elections came.

We cry over a Punjabi CM. But a Jat CM encouraged and helped the Punjabis in every way possible. He gave Punjabi language the second official language status. He gave huge tracts of farmers' land to Punjabis (Vadra and DLF (a good chunk of DLF Management is Punjabis including son-in-law of DLF owner), he placed many Punjabis in top positions in govt. How many Jat IAS/HCS officers were secretaries in various ministries during the last Jat CM's tenure? Negligible. But number of Punjabis, baniyas and pandits. So a Jat CM was encouraging the punjabis and baniyas. And the impression that was being spread was that Jats were being favoured by the govt. which unfortunately helped further in dividing the voters on Jat/non-Jat lines which has finally HURT Jat interests.

The only Jats that have benefited from Jat CMs are their near and dear ones (relatives/friends) or those with deep pockets (lots of money). REst of the Jats (masses) have been fooled for decades.

Rampant corruption by Jat CMs (also by earlier non-Jat CMs) has brought a bad name not only to Haryana, but also to the Jats. Remember for the rest of the country, anyone who speaks Haryanvi is a Jat (irrespective of caste).

4. Jats at present do NOT have any leader who has a mass appeal cutting across caste lines. And this polarisation of votes on caste lines because of the wrong impression (Jats being favoured) presented by the last Congress govt. has made matters worse for any future Jat leader to have a mass appeal among other castes also.

So, what do you propose to do now?

You (anti-BJP) voted against Modi, yet Modi became PM.
You (anti-BJP) voted against BJP, yet BJP came to power and has made a non-Jat CM.

So, the fact of the matter is that our Jat votes (22 %) do not matter in the face of consolidation of Non-Jat votes. Even if we unite (which I doubt because of division of Jat vote) and vote for Jat candidates we cannot imagine to form a Jat majority govt.

Do not waste your energy in spreading negativity. If you have any constructive points share it with others. But sheer criticism and crying over spilt milk will not help the community.

If BJP is anti-Jat, so is Congress. As far as INLD is concerned, it has not reinvented itself. It has not been able wash off the tag of corruption, dynastic rule and gundagardi despite giving a lot of seats to non-Jats this time.

I guess, he and many others did try to stop this by not voting for a party that is known for being anti-jat when others were questioning them for doing so and calling such folks traitors of country.

What Jat chaudhar are you talking about? A remote controlled CM cannot and can never be a chaudhary.

A person who treats Haryana as his personal Jagir and then goes and bows before gora Madam from Italy at her personal darbar cannot be a chaudhary!!

Wake up or redefine the definition of chaudhar and chaudhary

I am sure you are not from Haryana. Further even BJP and its leaders knows what they said about Jat reservation. You certainly have a misconception about BJP not in power in Haryana. They were an ally of INLD. Same BJP broke that alliance in past general elections with INLD. Yes it WOULD be a suicide if a non jat become a CM backed by present BJP. Mentality must be of pro-jats, 90s,80s etc doesnt matter. If Chaudhar is not of Jats then consider it as an anti-jat agenda sooner or later. Graduate yourself in those terms if you are not a kaccha dhari.

Well Abhik, ..You probably haven't witnessed what it means to be chaudhar where ever from are you. Instead of questioning the BJP's stance, you are here blabbering ( and probably very happy) here like a non-jat would do. Someone here said that instead of more of Jat Lover you are anti-congress. As I stated in my OP about low self esteem, you just proved it. Your thought process, vision starts and ends with Anti-congress. So Yahan faaltu gyan na baante, yahan sab gyani hai.

Bhai Vikas, Just explain me one thing, one seat, and I will explain all of yours.

Why did Rohtak seat went to BJP?

Samar, the only thing I am asking is will this criticism really help. 80 percent Jats voted against BJP. Still it came to power with majority and is now forming a govt. with a non-jat CM.

If criticizing it makes one a Jat-lover I would criticize it. I all along wanted Capt. Abhimanyu to be the CM. But then logic clearly shows that 7 Jat MLAs out of 47 cannot demand a Jat CM. You vote for Cong and INLD and ask for a Jat CM from BJP. This will not make sense to any rational person.

Let's as a community look towards the future interests of Jats instead of wasting time on what has already happened because it is not in your or anyone else's power to change that for the next five years.

Let's stop whining like a school kid and show some maturity by accepting the ground realities.

That exactly is my question too and infact the supreme example of my questions in the quoted post, share if you have an answer.

Totally in sync with Ranaji view, it was clear that BJP has upper hand and we Jats let Capt down.
Its time for introspection.
Hooda has good oppurtunity to emerge as Jat leader but instead he prefer to be only i good books of madam. Had hooda spent some money on development in other distt. this wont be his fate. Instead he tried to marginalize other leaders by not letting development work in other distt.
We are calling the name of Jat leader like Sir Chottu Ram and ch. Devilal. But we fail to recognise they were not the jat leaders. Chhotu Ram was leader of AJGAR(Ahir, Jat Gujjar, Aranhi and Rangar) communities. Same way Tau was leader of peasant(Jat, Ahir and Gujjar) class.
Any good leader will forsee this and make an alliance with other community, standing alone will fetch nothing all this Jat pride and Chaudhar will remain garam hawa.
Calling names and insulting other members by few keyboard warriors will yield nothing but divide society further.

Well, then brother, I suggest you keep some calm on Haryana politics.

Everyone in Haryana, including those least bothered in politics, knows why Rohtak went to BJP.

I am not sure what interest you are talking Abhik Bhai and I asked that in my previous posts from you? What would a Refugee Jangi understand about social fabric of Haryana? Instead of questioning the social acumen of your beloved party you are blaming everything on Congress?

Let me tell you simple logic about 5 year myth, South Haryana Ahirwal wont let this refugee be a CM no matter what Modi or Shah had in Mind while doing it. Further the level of anarchy is impending against newly elected govt and you would understand then ignoring ground truth would cost BJP in long term. What made a Punjabi refugee CM? You think number of Punjabi MLAs? What is the rationale behind? Let us all understand that.? South Haryana gave maximum MLAs then why this refugee was ''nominated''. He wasnt elected by MLAs rather forced by Modi and Shah. Thats the rationale.

Grass always greener on the Greenland but in real its full of Ice Sir.

Samar bhai, It is not a question of Jats versus Punjabis.

This false impression created by the previous Cong. govt. that Jats were being favoured has divided the voters on Jats vs. Non-Jat lines. And this time the Non-Jat votes including Ahirs, Gujjars, baniyas, pandats, punjabis consolidated behind BJP.

If South Haryana (Ahirs) would not want a Punjabi CM, they would not want a Jat CM either. They were pinning their hopes on Rao Inderjeet as CM and that was the overwhelming reason for their support to BJP.

But the Jat apathy towards BJP has cost the Jats dear. Both Rao Inderjeet and KrishanPal Gurjar are central ministers. But there is no Jat from Haryana in the union ministry because we preferred to maintain distance from the BJP.

I only hope that Capt. Abhimanyu despite the overall Jat apathy towards BJP, would be given some key role in Haryana or else a berth in the Union cabinet.
