Minister's foot in mouth Thank god, you're alright. I tuned in to the television after the bombs went off. Heard Minister of State for Home Shriprakash Jaiswal say, "Jin logo ne ye kiya hain, hum unhe desk ka dushman No. 1 karaar dete hain (as if they need this certificate)." And then...

Hard on The story sounds interesting. But the director's first movie had sunk without a trace -- Aryan. Let's see what does he do now that he has decided to come up in public with his Hard on (Sorry I mean Rock on, but both sound similar).

This one's to revive the thread Gutted to found the thread down in the dumps. Have you guys stopped watching the movies or what? Not a mention of The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger you bet reserved his best for the last. Heard, though, one more film is in the post-production stage and would be out...

On a lighter note, we all have heard of brain drain. It's a cliche. The lastest fad, as Sandeep's case suggests, is BRAWN DRAIN.

* I read in an interview of his that Sejwal, 19, is not eyeing a medal this time. Frankly, he doesn't have a realistic chance of doing so either. But the statement smacks of the archaic Indian mentality when it comes to sports: It's not about winning (or should we say losing) but participation...

Time wounds all heels

Man o man! Yo hai saari batton ka tod. ;):p

No they won't. How many followers has left himself with? No more than several hurndreds or at best a thousand in Sisouli village; and he himself is to be blamed for that. This is not the first time he's done it. And it isn't the last either. Lemme tell you what his close associates reliably...

Ye koi pehli baar nahi ke Tikait ne thook ke chata hai. This guy has been notorious for this. Aandolan karta tha aur jab sarkar jhukne wali hoti thi to haath kheench leta tha. Kisaano ke neta se jaato ka neta, phir sirf baaliyano ka aur ab ek gaam -- sisoli -- ka neta reh gaya inhi kartooto ki...

No it's not. "या चमारी म्हारे सब के सिर पे चढ़ कै मू* गी," Tikait said yesterday at Sisouli that triggered an instant reaction. Today he said: "चमारी कू चमारी ना कहूँ तो के बामणी कहू"

कुड्न्ट अग्री मोर. आप सबकी जीभ नही पकड़ सकते लेकिन अपने कान पकड़ सकते हैं. (चलो जल्दी पकडो:p)

I wouldn't venture to observe that there is a dearth of choice. Nothing against the vernacular media but the English channels generally more restrained. In Hindi as well, there is NDTV India and I must say, their one-hour programme by the title of 'Special Report', mostly featuring Ravish Kumar...

My friend, just to remind you of another stereotype: we Indians are also the rankest hero-worshippers. Anyways, let’s not stretch the argument like a bubblegum. In fact, I don’t want to argue and I am sure neither do you. However, I just want to make a few points clear. One of them is that I am...

As I can understand from your post, by media you meant electronic media. It has been slightly over a decade since we have started having private news channels. TRPs dictate the content and thus, media is showing what the people, I mean majority of the people, want to see. Anyways, I won't read...

Court marriage must be an oxymoron then:confused:

It's really unfortunate that corruption has gained so much acceptability in our society. Instead of trying and weeding out the problem, we have started seeing it as a part of our lives. Ideally, a corrupt cop should just be that -- a corrupt cop. Let me tell you, before you tend to think I am...

Afterthought Given the burgeoning problem of co...ahem...I mean population, it's a blessing in disguise actually.:p:D

History, you'd agree, is unlike a linear equation. You can't deduce the precise value of 'x', only opine. Point I am trying to make is: what Jats did and what Rajputs didn't or vice-versa, we can't wholly substantiate. And hence, it doesn't give any of us (or for that matter you) a reason to...
