Following is with reference to the highlighted and red portions in the quoted post:
1. Good to note that you are against personal attacks. It is hoped that you will not use derogatory language against any individual (including the individuals or groups to be discussed) henceforward.
Which derogatory words have I used? In fact, I see in your posts that you get personal with others' replies and in one instance called the opinion (on the topic) expressed by someone as 'spreading filth (kuda felana)'. So, I guess a little introspection as to who uses derogatory words would really help.
2. Of course language of expression is anyone's discretion (or privilege in your parlance) but you seem to be reluctant to admit that the privilege is out of compulsion in the instant case. If it is really a matter of pride to express oneself in one's national language, why you yourself are so shy of taking this privilege. You also should avail this privilege once in a blue moon (if not very often) to prove your love for it. I don't remember having seen even a single sentence written by you in the 'pride language'. Why the double standards, just to justify your case. I am sure you must be having a little knowledge of the 'language of pride'.
As stated earlier, you are stuck with the point as to why I never use Hindi despite yourself admitting that it is my discretion (privilege in my parlance). Again I prefer to use my discretion to use English as a language on an English language website/forum (website). And moreover, how does it affect the topic of this thread or you or anyone else for that matter which language I use as long as the message is put across clearly. So let's not just keep going back and forth just for the sake of saying something (and that too personal). I believe my Hindi is as good as my English or if you please, as bad as my English BUT one thing is for sure, I do not need a certificate from you or your coterie just in the same manner as I would not like to give you any certificate for your qualities.
3. Command over English may not the sole criterion but it, for sure, is one of the criteria for efficient leadership, especially in view of the fast changing ethos of governance in the globalized world. It makes a difference in the international fora, if the head of government of a particular country is able to establish a direct connect with his interlocutors abroad and puts across his ideas without the help of any aide or interpreter.
I would tend to disagree with you. English is NOT one of the criteria for efficient leadership. This is a MYTH. Leaders of the developed world (P5 at the UN-Russia, France, China or for that matter Germany) speak their own languages even if they have command over English language. We need to come out of this MYTH which has been built over by this remnant of the British Raj (the Congress party) that the Brown Sahibs (or the imported Goras/Goris) who know English have the divine right to rule the country. If this truly is your belief, then you are doing a great disservice to your nation.
However, being a diehard supporter of the shadow Prime Minister, you seem to be unwilling to accept any argument or criticism, howsoever objective it may be, in a right perspective.
VP Singhji, I know from experience that you have to, by default oppose every post of mine tooth and nail for reasons not clear to me, but I at least expect some rational and cogent replies from a learned man as yourself.
Yes I am a diehard supporter (I am okay with your calling me this) of the face of unbridled and uncorrupted growth and development of modern India as against you and others who are diehard supporters of this corruption tainted Congress which has eaten into the socio-economic fabric of our country for over 60 years.
