Deeply hurt by the new development in BJP ..it really hurt when they sideline the old guards like Jaswant Singh and Advani ..... not sure but aatma gawahi nahi deto corrupt Ramesh Kaushik ko vote dene ke liye ... want Modi as PM but cant support Ramesh Kaushik as my MP

Jaswant Singh is one of most trusted and liberal face of BJP and its a sheer humiliation not to give ticket to person like him ... yes i said what we want an honest MP or Honest PM .... but i am again saying i want atleast a clean MP candidate

To be honest, that's a pretty one sided article with the author out to prove why Jaswant deserved what he got. And whats this about being a mis-fit in BJP? Would he have survived 30 years and be called back into the party if he was a misfit? Even Vajpayee was called the right man in the wrong party but he became the PM.
In any case, anyone who has ever seen news debates would know Swapan Dasgupta comes out as pro-Modi always.
Jasvant Singh himself said this will be his last election, he looks quite active and healthy so what is wrong in him contesting election?
Pro business environment is necessary if India wants to save itself from further destruction. Congress has screwed up the country in last 10 years. I think whole nation is fed up with Gandhi dynasty. Some assertive leader is necessary for some time otherwise country will fall apart.

Well I don't know at this stage. But India has very serious problems. Modi seems to be making the right noises about it. I know there are shortcomings. But what option we have at this stage?
There must be very skilled people around who can run the system efficiently but who know them?
A handful people. And who vote them. Probably no one.

He won last election from Darjleeng, he hardly visited there in his tenure and people were really upset with him. Secondly after the Jinnah event(s) both Advani ji and Jaswant ji have lost grounds. That didn't go well with the party and RSS. Even if he would have given ticket his chances were very feeble. Considering his association with the party he was offered seats from other 3 locations, but he was adamant. When it comes to ticket distribution it happens, you can't please thousands of suitable candidates for 543 tickets.

हमारे पास समय बेकार नहीं पड़ा है. यह समय अपने परिवार के हिस्से से चुरा कर लगाया है, अपने बच्चों की पढ़ाई से काट कर लगाया है.
यह परिश्रम और समर्पण है तो केवल नरेंद्र मोदी को प्रधानमंत्री बनाने के लिए ना कि आडवाणी के ईगो को संतुष्ट करने के लिए अथवा किसी जसवंत सिंह अथवा सुषमा स्वराज को सांसद बनाने के लिए. भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेतृत्व से पिछले दस वर्षों में क्या वह आशा की किरण दिखी थी जो आज नरेंद्र मोदी में दिखती है?
हम नरेंद्र मोदी को इसलिए पसंद नहीं करते कि वे हमारे जैसा सोचते हैं, अपितु इसलिए पसंद करते हैं कि वे हम सबसे बहुत दूर की सोचते हैं, इसलिए जिस बात पर नरेंद्र मोदी की मुहर है, वह बात हमें स्वीकार है और जो इस यज्ञ में अपने को उपेक्षित महसूस करते हैं, वे उपेक्षा के ही पात्र हैं.

Nobody, mind you not even BJP spokespeople or insiders or political analysts said he would lose. That seat has 40% muslims+Rajput who were with him.
