According to you were Guru Nanak and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Indians or Pakistani???

Wow.....What a funny question !

When they took birth was there any country on the globe known as Pakistan !

The answer is NO.

Therefore, not only according to me but also according to everyone, they were Indians born in India in 1469 AD and in 1907 AD respectively !

Sir, with due respect, that's what I would try to highlight when Upender was told that Lord Buddha was born in Nepal and not Bihar.

Were Nepal and Bihar existent then?

What a funny question indeed !

The answer is NO.

Therefore, they were Indians !

Yes, they were there then and now also exist at the same place.

Further, let him speak for himself please !

I think we must better return back to the thread topic insstead of testing geography knowledge of participants !

Sir, there was no Bihar and no Nepal then. Only a piece of land with the political boundaries and names very different from what they are today.

As advised by you, I rest my case.

Friend,

I have already taken leave from never ending discussion on a non issue.

Kindly make this fact known to Shri Upender Singh Ji, who thinks as under :.

Sir, you find it funny when a question is asked as to whether Guru Nanak and Bhagat Singh were Indians or Pakistanis because according to you and rightly so Pakistan did not exist then.

But in the same breath you are correcting Upender that Gautam Budh was born in Nepal and not in Bihar. Neither did Nepal nor did Bihar exist then as we know them to be today.

I see a big contradiction in what you say. The least I expected from you as our elder was to accept the contradiction in what you stated and would have corrected yourself. There is nothing wrong in correcting oneself.

Final reply :

Taken together all the three : Buddha, Guru Nanak and Bhagat Singh : as Indians by birth as they were and you also admit this fact, then there remains no scope for any supposed contradiction; that is why I had requested you to tell your friend on whose behalf you continue to drag me back time and again in discussion on a closed issue that your friend must feel at ease that Buddha was not born in Bihar. For his uneasiness, read

As Vedic dharm/culture is considered a part of Hinduism today. So definitely it is one of the oldest "dharm"in the world and older than Budhism. There may be issues about the word Hindu and its origin.

As far as Budhism is concerned, definitely it was religion of our ancestors once. I believe Buddha is/was the greatest soul even born on earth.

You seem to be right.

Perhaps the link will help in further clearing the mist on the issue :http://www.jatland.com/forums/showt...derstand-what-Religion-is&p=373274#post373274
