nahin aisa kuchh nahin hai, Dabas Sahb. Hamara kaam sub ko jodna hai todna nahin.

tewatia sahab in 100% agreement wid u, judne aur joodne ke liye hi to hum yahan par hai, even i have many-many sikh friends n jatt sikhs too, but we have to agree that majority of sikhs dont consider them part of hinduism, n for them they r only sikh's, on other hand my jatt sikh friends say otherwise n consider themselves hindus, one even said jo jaat/hindu nahi woh sikh nahi.

yeh jo hindu-sikh related confusion hai, woh jayada tar punjabi khatri sikh's n bhapa sikh's ki wajah sae hai, n not coz of jatt sikh's (who were actually true sikh's) according to me!!!!!!

according to my info even in the paanj payaras of shri guru gobind singh all 5 were either frm today's haryana n U.P.

jayada gyan nahi hai, bas bhog vilaas mei lage reheten hai, yahan aap jaiso ko phadte hai to thoda inspire hoten hai aur thoda bahut likh bhi deten hai, plz do correct me if am wrong.

to all members this thread is going into the wrong direction, it was never meant for discussing sikhism n all that stuff, less unite n bring a change as per kharub bhai's dream, after all sumone has to do it, so why not we all??????

FYI none was from haryana or punjab and only one from UP...

Panj Pyare...all Hindus...
Daya Singh, a khatri (Sobti) from Lahore
Dharam Singh, Jat from Hastinapur, UP
Himmat Singh, a jhimer (water carrier) from Orrisa
Mukham Singh, tailor by caste from Gujrat
Sahib Singh, a barber of Bidar in Karnataka

Guru Gobind Singh was born as Gobind Rai Sodhi (again a khatri), in fact all gurus were Khatris...even the first panj pyara was a khatri...there was only one who was from Hastinapur, UP (Jat) and his name was Bhai Dharam Singh. There was not even one Jat from the punjab area. These jatt punjabis took over Sikh religious politics only once Sikh religioun was on high tide. This is a common fact and even jatts agree that gurudwaras are contrlloed by Jatts but religion is practices mostly by khatris etc.

Anyways gurus asked the followers clearly not to follow the existing caste system and that every sikh is just a sikh. But still not even one example comes to my mind where a so called true sikh arranged their kids marriage outside their caste not even nihangs, granthis or paathis.

The most sad part that hurts me is that Guru Gobind Singh took up struggle after his father Guru Teg Bahadur just for the cause of Hindus and the maximum resistance he faced during this time was not from Mughals or muslims in general but from his own Hindu brothers...

kisse ne koi ghaat na ghaal rakhi histori mein, so I think we can't single out any one to be worse than the rest...please don't take these facts in the light of hatred

Mistaken Identity

Sikh gurus did a lot for Hindustan ( India ) but sikh rulers after Ranjit Singh were just follower of British Empire. Maharaja Duleep Singh ( Son of Ranjit Singh ) played cricket as British citizen against Australia. The famous Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy was started in the British rule due to the British follower Maharaja Duleep Singh

People like Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Sardar Bhagat Singh made sikhs proud of them but people like Duleep Singh did otherwise.

I think you are talking about Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji and his uncle Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji of Kathiawad, Gujrat after whom Ranji Trophy in 1934 and Duleep Trophy 1961 were named...they had nothing to do with our Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab or his son Duleep Singh, the names are similar co-incidentally though

Bhai Vijay, Duleep Singh of Punjab ke hallat kuchh alag kar diye they in susrey Brits ne, aur koi baat na thee...Duleep Singh had the same fate as our Kohinoor if you know what I am talking about...

khair chhodo, hogya so hogya...let's build and leverage on whatever we are with...

Thanks for the info, Amit Bhai

Duleep Singh, son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, also used to play cricket and i took things in that manner. My apology for the post.

Thanks again for the information.

Hi Everyone,

Its been a bit quite at this post for a while and the discussion seems to have died down .........

Well I just want to let all those willing to contribute and be a part of the new awakening know that work in underway.

A few selected members are laying the groundwork right now on which we will base this revolution ... a revolution to win Jat hearts and minds and unite them into one potent force .. a force to be reckoned with ....

So yes the work has begun and we are in the initial stage now. Once we move to the next step of planning & implementation ... we will include all interested and willing brothers and sisters in that process.
