So, just because he is Ch. Charan Singh's son and a Jat, he can't be criticised beyond a point (I think that's what you are saying that he has been criticised enough, now leave him alone)? And then we cry about dynasties and corruption amongst our politicians. A pre-requisite for accountability is that no one is above questioning/criticism, whether it is Ajit Singh or Ch Charan Singh.

Piush may or may not have an agenda against Ajit Singh, but he should not be stopped from voicing his opinion, howsoever repetitive it is.

Brahm, I don't think I missed the catch. Maybe you think it is "beyond a point". But the location of POINT is relative. You talked about a third neutral person in one post. I am that third neutral person. And I see NO "uncalled hatred and/or any hidden or apparent personal/political vendetta."

Ajit Singh was not abused in this instance. Much worse words/language has been heaped on Maywati and other non Jats with no one objecting. We need to bring down our leaders from the high pedestals of untouchability and look at them as the mere mortals they are. Somewhere else, the moderators found criticism of Jat Aarakshan Sangh leader (Yashpal Malik?) as objectionable. If there is something wrong with the criticism itself, why is it not challenged?

It is not for me to second guess your "diplomatic" vs "offensive" strategies. I had no idea and neither do I care (Why should I?). I wrote against Hitesh's post as I found it objectionable. My post is based on what I think is right/wrong. I was not thinking in terms of friends/enemies; supporters/opposers before writing.

I have been following this argument and I find it annoying that anyone criticising a leader based on facts or questioning him (both Piush and Prashant did that for diff. leaders) is asked to shut up. Even if the leader is Tau Devi Lal or Ch Charan Singh or WHOSOEVER. For me, none of these leaders are GREAT enough to lose my shirt for. Ajit Singh, Mayawati, Paswan, etc. are politicians first. I'd judge them on the same parameters. Instead of asking me all sorts of rhetorical questions, why don't you answer just one- What is so wrong about questioning/criticising a politician and his actions!!??

I was fully with you when you were opposing Mr. Ravi Chaudhary for acting subjectively and dictatorially for taking issue with Prashant for his criticism of Yashpal Malik. And I am fully against you here, where you have switched roles.

you are 200% right of what you saw... what you did... nd the way you bumped-in. look, i'm not accusing you of anything and my frustration is definitely not for that matter, but for the reasons as briefed earlier. your post to hitesh was worthy of your opinion and so is mine... my previous post just carried an xyz perception, which as stated wasn't mine... but can be perceived by any mr. xyz in any way he feels like. <<< catch this.

the way you pointed out what is wrong and what is right... same holds true for me. make no mistakes - 'i'm also not part of any silly games' of what that was happening earlier and of what that is happening now... whether it was my post to raviji or to piush... i also bumped in alsmost the same way as you did.

There is some substance in some of his posts. If there is a fire, smoke is inevitable. The fiery exchange of comments between you and Piyush has created a smokescreen of confusion rendering both of you incomprehensible. My advise to both of you is to exercise restraint.

Sugarcane farmer and politics behind the scene

Ajit singh biggest achievement: Till today there are dues pending amount of Rs. 110 crores with SBEC sugar mill Malakpur, Baghpat. As per law, if sugar mills do not pay arrears within 14 days after procuring the cane to the farmers, they have to pay 15% interest on the arrears. This applies to all sugar mills, be it in the private sector or the state sugar corporation or sugar co-operative mills.
However, while all other mills pay the cane dues on time or pay with interest if they are late, the Modi group has time and again defaulted on making timely payments. There are logical allegations from farmers that the Malakpur suagr mill has worked out an understanding with the JAT leader MP Mr. Ajit singh, wherein they either do not pay the interest or pay very less than the stipulated 15%.
They have been making profit worth crore since the last many years through this means, which is grossly unfair when seen in the context that other mills are paying the farmers at 15% interest if they are unable to meet the 14-day deadline. It is a matter of denying the rest of the millers the same level playing field.
Many Famers even made a serious allegation against Ajit singh and ask him how he can be a leader of farmer if his own constituency farmer not getting their payment since last many years. Baghpat, 90 per cent of the canegrowers are in debt and 25 per cent of the small farmers have got marginalised in recent years because of delayed payments, drought and higher input costs of seeds, diesel, pesticides and electricity. Where can farmers go? There is no employment. Educated youth are jobless and indulge in crimes for lack of opportunities.
My question to the entire Jat community in western UP and political leader what is the deal behind these nonpayment dues of sugarcane farmers? If Ajit singh can put whole delhi on its nee(sugarcane farmer agitation) than why does he not shut down the Malakpur suagar mill?
Why ajit singh party agitation is not being done at the gate of Malak Pur sugar mill, baghpat ?is it some kind of deal of 15% interest of 110 crores which comes around over 15 crores goes to RLD chief ? How he can demand for changing the land acquisition law when his own constituency people facing such a big problem? Is there any other money making strategy from builder and developer?

बागपत। मलकपुर मिल का तो हर साल का यह किस्सा हो गया है,किसानों को महीनो बाद पेमेंट करना उसकी आदत बन गई है, किसानो को समय पर पेमेंट दिलाना सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है लेकिन सरकार को इसकी कोई परवाह नहीं है,किसान पेमेंट ना मिलने से कर्ज लेने को मजबूर हो रहा है,वह इस मामले पर चौधरी महेंद्र सिंह टिकैत से वार्ता कर रहे हैं। किसान की आर्थिक स्थिति सही नहीं होने के कारण कई लोगों तो आत्महत्या कर चुके हैं और अन्य कई तो रोटी के लिए भी जूझ रहे।
कड़वा सच
बागपत। किसानों के गन्ने से चीनी मिलें दोहरा मुनाफा कमा रही है, पहला चीनी बनाकर और दूसरा किसानों के गन्ने का पेमेंट रोककर। जनपद की तीन चीनी मिलों पर किसानों का एक अरब 39 करोड़ रुपये बकाया है। इनमें से मलकपुर मिल पर ही किसानों का एक अरब 13 करोड़ बकाया है। पेमेंट न मिलने से किसानों के बच्चो के दाखिले और शादियां अटक गई हैं, वहीं चीनी मिलें पेमेंट रोककर ही ब्याज के रुप में दो करोड़ से भी ज्यादा का मुनाफा महीने वार कमा रही हैं।
पेराई सत्र शुरू होने पर मिलों के लिए जो नियमावली लागू की जाती है उसके मुताबिक चीनी मिलों को गन्ना खरीद के 15 दिन केभीतर पेमेंट करना होता है, लेकिन मिलों केलिए यह नियम कोई मायने नहीं रखता। जनपद की तीनों मिलों पर किसानों का एक अरब 39 करोड़ गन्ना मूल्य बकाया है।
पिछले साल की तरह इस बार भी मलकपुर मिल ने किसानों का पेमेंट रोक लिया है। गन्ना विभाग केआकंडों के मुताबिक मलकपुर मिल ने अब तक 82.72 लाख कुंतल गन्रा खरीदा है जिसका पेमेंट एक अरब 96 करोड केआसपास बैठता है लेकिन मिल ने इसमें से 24 जनवरी तक की खरीद का ही महज 83 करोड़ का ही पेमेंट किया है। करीब दो महीने का बकाया मिलों पर हो गया है जिसमें से डेढ़ महीने का लेट पेमेंट मिल पर बैठता है। बकाया रकम पर दो प्रतिशत ब्याज की दर से आकलन किया जाए तो करीब दो करोड़ से अधिक का मिल को प्रति माह मुनाफा अलग से होता है। पेमेंट केमामले में पिछले सालों में भी मिल ने यही किया था। क रोड़ं बकाया होने पर भी कलि को मिल ने अपने पेमेंट में सुधार नहीं किया और इस साल भी किसानो को पेमेंट में रुलाया।
• अटक गई शादी और एडमिशन
मलकपुर मिल से किसानों का गन्ना पेमेंट अटक जाने से उनकेबच्चों के एडमिशन अटक गए हैं।
छपरौली के किसान ओमपाल सिंह ने बताया कि उनका करीब सवा चार लाख रुपये मलकपुर मिल पर बकाया है। उनका बेटा इंजीनियरिंग कर रहा है लेकिन, अब फीस जमा करने को धन नहीं है। पिछले साल भी मलकपुर मिल ने इसी तरह परेशान किया था जिस कारण उनसे इस साल केवल 25 बीघा में ही गन्ना बोया है, जबकि पिछले साल उन्होंने 90 बीघा में गन्ने की फसल बोई थी।
रणवीर सिंह का कहना था कि उसका मिल पर डेढ़ लाख बकाया है। उसके दो बच्चे दिल्ली में पढ़ते हैं लेकिन उनकी फीस के लिए उनके पास धन नहीं है। नत्थू ने 2500 कुंतल गन्ना मिल को दिया है उसके करीब अभी भी तीन लाख रुपये मिल पर बकाया है। अतर सिंह ने बताया कि उन्हें अपने बेटे की शादी करनी थी लेकिन, शादी के लिए धन ही नहीं है मलकपुर मिल पर उनका तीन लाख बकाया है। पिछले साल भी मिल ने उन्हें पेमेंट में रुलाया था जिस कारण इस बार उसने 40बीघा से घटाकर 25 बीघा फसल कर दी है।
सहदेव सिंह का कहना है कि मलकपुर मिल का तो हर साल का ही यही किस्सा है, पिछले साल भी उन्हें महीनो बाद पेमेंट मिला था इस साल भी उनका तीन लाख पेमेंट मिल पर है। उनकी बेटी एमसीए कर रही है जिसके एडमिशन और पढ़ई में दिक्कत हो रही है। किसान मिल के पेमेंट से रोष में थे उनका कहना था कि हर साल मलकपुर मिल यही करती है लेकिन कोई सुनता नहीं। किसानों का कहना है कि उनके पास और कोई विकल्प नहीं है। सरकार को इसमें कुछ करना चाहिए।
