Mujhe nahi pata tha Vijay bhai ki jhuggi jhopdi mein padhey likhey log bhi rehtey hain :) Unn logon ki baat samajh mein aati hai...

T.N. Sheshan did a lot and infact he was the one who initiated it. Lekin uske saath saath haalaat bhi badley hain...aur logon mein bhi jaagrukta badhi hai.... www.jaagore.com jaisee websites bhi logon ko shikshit kar rahi hain ..... yeh toh T N Sheshan ne nahi kiya..... :rock
 
OK OK TRUE "WE MUST ALL VOTE" BLA BLA...REALLY GOT TIRED OF LISTENING THIS ......TELL ME JAS ONE THING IS THERE ANY WORTHY PERSON OUT THERE THAT NEEDS TO BE VOTED FOR? ...though i wud definitely vote as i hv been casting my votes since past 6 yrs yet the scenario is such that muslims moslty vote for a muslim candidiate preferrably ,hindus for hindu candidiate ,some for the winning candidiate, some for one party some for another ,all this sometimes creates friction in moving ahead for voting! There is all hotch-potch nd political anarchy existing.
In reality,i feel we are casting our votes for just unworthy ppl who use our precious contribution in making black money nd participating in both revealed and unexposed corruption.
 
I truelly agree with you Richa jee, that there is lots of unworthy people around there but there are some worthy too, but who is responsible for their selection? at one side we are thinking for the developent of our country then at the same time we are planing for vote for the candidate from our cast or religion(irespective of his intentions).There might be lots of unworthy people there in election, but I m sure there would be atleast one or two serious candidates,who are willing to do something for their country not the community,so I appeal to you to go n please vote for them, I know may be your single vote will not make them to win but atleast it would not discourage them to think about their country betterment.

Either be the one or stop complaining

You don't want to vote then go to polling booth and ask them to cancel your vote so that noone can misuse that.
 
I HAVE MADE IT CRYSTAL CLEAR" THAT I WILL VOTE N HAVE BEEN VOTING"..whats hurtful is the fact that I OR ANYONE ELSE alone can't be the harbinger OF MASSIVE change it's an united effort which is the need of the hour ...(so don't reply to me that i must vote ):)
 
If I do not vote.....

I'm not going to follow complex issues and I'm not going to vote. That way I can complain when the government doesn't represent me. Then, when everything goes down the tubes, I can say the system doesn't work and justify my further lack of participation."-Calvin.........

Well Richa, dont get tired. It is really delighting that you will VOTE. :)

One thing I would like to say is that I you dont find any worthy candidate to VOTE, you can vote to reject all the contesting candidates under Rule 49 (O) of the Conduct of Election Rules 1961.

After reading your response, I've inferred that you are jaded of the Political System in INDIA as most of other people are, but instead of doing that, better work to encourage people to VOTE and Vote in favour of more stable and deserving candidate.

Believe me, we can ouster the unexposed corrupted politicians only in this way because we are a democracy and cant expect a miracle like Harry Potter.

Fauji ki vote

Very correct we all must vote. But aapane haryane me ek galat parchar hai ke Faujia ki vote nahi hoti. Fauj me jate hi pehla kam vote katene ka karte hain.Once I tried Electrol officer told that fauji ki vote to fauj me hi parti hai. I asked him if I apply for ballot paper from fauj will you send me the ballot paper? he told NO with out name in electrol roll he can not send ballot paper. So due to this misunderstanding thousands of haryanavi fauji are deperived of their voting right. If anybody can take interst and do something about it.

Due to this, this year at the age of 42 yrs first time I have voted but in Bangalore.

Suresh Ji, Indian Army personnels can vote either by sending postal ballots or voting directly in the constituency where they are posted. But enrollment needs to be done.
