Regarding the allegations on future Army Chief Lt General Bikram Singh, we cannot be sure about Fake Encounter one and Shop Allotment one BUT if his daughter-in-law (wife of his Son who is working in Dubai) is a Pakistani Citizen, is it right on Govt's part to keep a mum on that? If it is true, I don't think they can get away with that?

Dispute over Army Chief Gen. VK Singh has been in the news for quite some time now. I just watched the below video which touches this issue a bit also.

I do not know what is the truth behind the dispute and claims in the video about conspiracies but the video does give a good account of the happenings and facts. Defense people may be able to shed some light on it.

Vikas, this is not about Congress, BJP or Rahul Gandhi or any other individual; this is about a well-established system which is founded on the pillars of pluralistic democracy. By giving such irresponsible statements, you are encouraging the neo-fascism and anarchy which will take us to the pre-historic times where only jungle rule prevailed. Rahul Gandhi could be a wrong choice, but it is pertinent to see who chose him a Member of Parliament. You are simply questioning a system where people are free to choose a leader of their choice. What right do we have to question the propriety of decision-making and wisdom of those who elected him. They are also citizen of a free democratic country and have every right to choose anyone irrespective of the background of a person. It is immaterial whether he belongs to a royalty or he is a pauper because he is a choice of people and people’s choice must prevail in a democracy, not anyone’s whims and fancies. We may like it or not, we have to live with this harsh reality.

And, yes, this kind of provocative statements might certainly jeopardize the interests of this forum as there is strict vigilance and surveillance on all the social forums. Mind you, 21 internet companies in India have already been issued notices and the Delhi High Court today lambasted the representatives of FB and Google today on this issue when they tried to plead innocent.

Let us desist from denigrating a soldier

One of the best replies to any of the posts/threads in any of the forums that I have read so far on Jatland.

The rigour that a Fouji goes through can never be matched with the job responsibilities of any civilian. And the best part is the undergoing of the rigour with a SMILE ON YOUR FACE, after all you are carrying the supreme responsibility of guarding your nation in the face of natural enemies on the two flanks.

Criticism of a soldier (Gen. Singh) in a manner that does not behove us reminds me of the words spoken by Col. Nathan R. Jessep (played by Jack Nicholson) in the movie 'A Few Good Men'

"We use words like "honor", "code", "loyalty". We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline! I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "Thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post".
In this whole debate, it is immaterial whether Gen. Singh is a Jat or a Rajput. He is a soldier who deserves respect for giving us the 'blanket of freedom' from the Hounds sitting on our borders on both flanks.

The govt. should not destroy this one last institution which is still to a great extent intact because if this is lost, India is lost. These wretched politicians (especially the Congress who have made a mess of everything for over 60 years) should desist from playing dirty politics with the affairs of Armed Forces.

Gen. Singh has done the right thing by undertaking to defend his dignity and honour and that of his brothers in arms.

This is a very irresponsible statement from you. I did not expect this from you.
Anybody who has someone in family or some close friend serving in defense forces would never make such statement and would be pained by this kind of things being said about faujis since only they know how much Mauj they have. Having so many family members from both sides(parental and in-laws) having served and still serving, I know at least a little how much mauj they have.

आदर्श घोटाले मे कांग्रेस को ना बचाने का दंड कांग्रेस दे रही है सेना प्रमुख जनरल वी.के. सिंह को:-

मित्रों, कितनी लज्जास्पद बात है कि हमारे पडोसी देश चीन एवं पाकिस्तान अपनी सेना को शक्तिशाली करते जा रहे हैं और भारतीय सीमा से सटे नए-नए एअरपोर्ट और बंकर बनाते जा रहे हैं और वहीँ दूसरी ओर भारत के सेना प्रमुख कोर्ट-कचहरी के चक्कर काट रहे हैं.
मित्रों भारत के इतिहास मे १६ जनवरी २०१२ का दिन एक कलंकित दिन के रूप मे स्मरण किया जायेगा जब इतिहास मे पहली बार किसी सेना प्रमुख को सरकार अपने निजी स्वार्थ के लिए इस देश की सुरक्षा की जगह अदालतों के चक्कर काटने पर विवश कर रही है.


क्या है सेना प्रमुख का आयु विवाद ?

सेना प्रमुख जनरल वी.के. सिंह के स्कूल से लेकर युनिवर्सिटी, पासपोर्ट, ड्राइविंग लाइसेन्स, सेना के आई. कार्ड, उनके सर्विस रिकार्ड, प्रमोशन दस्तावेज, अर्थात सभी जगह उनकी जन्मतिथि 10 मई 1951 दर्ज है परन्तु एनडीए के फार्म मे क्लर्क ने त्रुटी से 1950 लिख दिया था. फिर जब वो सेना मे लेफ्टिनेंट बने तब उनके पिताजी जो स्वयं उस समय कर्नल थे और बाद मे जनरल बने उन्होंने कागजात प्रस्तुत करके और हलफनामा देकर क्लर्क की इस त्रुटी को सुधरवा दिया.
यहाँ तक कि वी.के. सिंह ने सेना मे अब तक जितने भी प्रमोशन और प्रशस्ति पत्र पाए हैं उन सब पर उनकी जन्मतिथि 10 मई 1951 ही दर्ज है. सेना के एक आरटीआई के उत्तर में खुलासा भी किया है कि उनकी जन्मतिथि सेना के रिकार्ड मे 10 मई 1951 ही है.

फिर विवाद का वास्तविक कारण क्या है ?

वास्तव में वीके सिंह ने सेना से सम्बन्धित दो बड़े घोटालों की जाँच की -- सुकना जमीन घोटाला और कारगिल शहीदों के परिजनों के नाम पर बने आदर्श सोसाइटी घोटाला.

इन दोनों घोटालों मे वास्तविक दोषियो को बचाने के लिए वी.के. सिंह पर केन्द्र सरकार का जबरदस्त दबाव था. क्योंकि आदर्श सोसाइटी घोटाले में महाराष्ट्र के सभी बड़े कांग्रेसी नेता और कई केन्द्रीय मंत्री और राबर्ट वढेरा तक का नाम सामने आने लगा. सुशील कुमार शिंदे, [जो आज बेशर्मी से एक राज्य का राज्यपाल है और महामहिम बना है ] अशोक चह्वाण, विलास राव देशमुख [ये भी बेशर्मी से केन्द्रीय केबिनेट मंत्री बने हुए हैं] शरद पवार [ इनको बेशर्म कहना बेशर्म शब्द का अपमान होगा.]

और स्वयं भारत के “राष्ट्रीय दामाद“ अर्थात राबर्ट वढेरा कभी इस घोटाले मे फंसता दिखाई आया..
किन्तु बलि केवल अशोक चह्वाण की ही दी गयी और शेष सब अपने पद पर डटे रहे.

वी.के. सिंह ने इस घोटाले की जाँच बड़ी ही निष्पक्षता और ईमानदारी से की हालाँकि उनके उपर कांग्रेस पार्टी और केंद्र सरकार का बहुत बड़ा दबाव था कि २ जी घोटाले की भठ्ठी मे जल रही सरकार को वी.के. सिंह एक और भठ्ठी मे ना फेंकें, किन्तु वी.के. सिंह ने केंद्र सरकार के दबाव के आगे झुकने से मना कर दिया.

फिर सुकना जमीन घोटाला सामने आया जिसने बंगाल के कुछ कांग्रेस नेता सेना के दो अधिकारियों अवधेश प्रताप सिंह और अशोक रथ के साथ मिलकर सेना की जमीन पर एक पब्लिक स्कूल और एक रिजोर्ट (Resort ) बनाने की प्लानिंग की परन्तु एक निजी चैनल ने इस घोटाले का भंडाफोड़ कर दिया.

इसमें भी वी.के. सिंह ने दो लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल का कोर्ट मार्शल करवाया और कांग्रेस से जुड़े एक बड़े उद्योगपति को जेल भिजवाया.


कांग्रेस का इतिहास है बदला लेने के लिए कुछ भी कर दे:-

मित्रों जैसे पहले बाबा रामदेव सरकार और कांग्रेस के लिए बहुत अच्छे थे सारे कांग्रेसी उनके योग शिविरों मे जाने के लिए बेताब रहते थे कांग्रेसी उनके गुण गाते थे. परन्तु जैसे ही बाबा रामदेव ने काले धन और भ्रष्टाचार की बहस इस देश मे छेड़ दी उसका परिणाम है आज बाबा रामदेव को सरकार और कांग्रेस दाउद इब्राहीम से भी बड़ा खतरा मानती है. केंद्र सरकार ने अपनी सारी १० बड़ी जाँच एजेंसियों को उनके अपने सारे काम से हटाकर केवल बाबा रामदेव और आचार्य बालकृष्ण के पीछे लगा दिया.

ठीक ऐसे ही सरकार ने सोनिया गाँधी के आदेश से जनरल वी.के. सिंह की पूरी जन्मकुंडली खंगालने को कहा. सीबीआई से लेकर आईबी तक उनके पैतृक गांव, उनकी प्रापर्टी, उनके सारे इन्वेस्टमेंट, उनके सारे आयकर रिर्टन, उनके सारे दस्तावेज खंगालने लगे.
फिर जब उनको कुछ भी नही मिला तब कांग्रेस ने कोर्ट मार्शल के द्वारा पांच वर्ष सजा प्राप्त अवधेश प्रताप सिंह से जेल मे संपर्क किया जो सेना के गुप्तचर कोर मे रह चुके हैं, उन्होंने बताया कि वी.के. सिंह के एनडीए मे दाखिले के समय भरे फार्म मे क्लर्क से एक त्रुटी हुई है जिसके आधार पर कुछ मामला मिल सकता है.

आखिर कांग्रेस और सरकार जनरल वी.के. सिंह को एक वर्ष पहले रिटायर क्यों करना चाहती है ?

वास्तव में आदर्श घोटाले मे अभी कई नाम और खुलने शेष हैं और सेना को अभी बोम्बे हाई कोर्ट मे कई दस्तावेज देने है जिसमें कांग्रेस के दामाद (जमाई) राबर्ट वढेरा भी लपेटे मे आ सकता है इसलिए सरकार उन्हें एक वर्ष पहले ही बलात रिटायर करना चाहती है.


मित्रों ! अंत में एक बात और कहना चाहता हूँ वो ये कि क्या आपको ज्ञात है कि हमारे इस महान देश को केवल दो व्यक्ति चला रहे हैं:-
प्रथम सोनिया और द्वितीय अहमद पटेल. अहमद पटेल परदे के पीछे का व्यक्ति है, इसको सोनिया के एक-एक भेद का ज्ञान है.​

Brother, niether any body is challenging nor I started the thread, it was a discussion and I am sure any body can discuss such an important topic, we are not going public and within our family we can always discuss, VP, BROTHER vk singh is also from different caste, and I can tell you bikaram is not 50% of vk singh, I know both closely from very start of career, Gen VK SINGH is not only copetant but a good person, a honest gentileman, there is no comparision between the two,

At the time of joining the service, Gen Singh was not minor. There was enough time to have the record rectified. Why this Kolavery now at the fag end of his carrier? Moreover, even if something positive comes out of this imbroglio, what is for us to rejoice as a community. In the past, I have heard people castigating even the Rajputs. How come, this sudden sympathy to them. Is it a change of heart, or is it just another alibi to condemn the establishment.

Why do you want to turn it into casteism? The question is about the army chief and not about him being Rajput/Jat/sikh.

You didn't notice the caste colour in those posts where a particular community "Punjabi" was specifically singled out in this context. How is it going to affect the army as a whole. He is going to be replaced by another army man and not by any civilian. Moreover, it is an internal issue and MOD must be having their own procedure of making such appointments. Why are you so furious on this issue. You never brought any issue of the common army men like a Sepoy, Havaldar or low ranking officials who face the similar problems. It is a common knowledge that the senior ranking officers in military or elsewhere misuse the manpower for their personal ends. For example, in military where a soldier who is meant to defend the borders is deployed as orderly at their residences. Those poor guys have to work as a servant and have to attend to those works which they are, officially, not supposed to do. You seem to be very sympathetic about the Generals, but your heart never beats for those lesser mortals. Anyway, it is my right to express my views. If you don't like simply ignore.
