Had you heard or watched the discussion in OP, you would have not asked the point first handedly. Point is that your land can be acquired by the govt without your consent.
Samar bhai, Kindly throw some light as to how is the present govt. more anti-farmer than the previous one?
Also, I would appreciate if you could also highlight as to how the land acquisition act/bill/ordinance under the present govt. more unacceptable than it was during the past over a 100 years?
Samar,
I agree with you that Land should be acquired by the government any time for genuine requirements. People are affected due to misuse of the act for vested interests. Congress has misused it in the past (Haryana is the example), BJP may also do it which is yet to be seen. No body said earlier that congress is anti farmers when there were huge punchayat land grabs by mafia and forcibly acquirement by the government for economic purposes in the recent past. I neither support BJP nor Congress. Farmers get subsidy through out the world. Diesel is subsidized in India for public in general which is questionable.

As per your statement, previous govt has been voted out by the people because of its deeds and all what matters is the present govt. Further, are you trying to establish that BJP and Congress are same when it comes to farmer's help? Are they same on this front?
Very true. Robert Vadhra I guess came from the family of farmers. That is the reason he was shown special favours by the previous govt. The previous Khangress govt. was very farmer friendly - that is the reason there were widespread protests against their land acquisition.
Fortunately successive CMs in Haryana, whether Jat or not have acted as commission agents thereby acquiring and selling farmer's land to builder sharks. These CMs did not care whether the farmer got adequate compensation or not, whether that money was properly utilized for the welfare of the farmers' families, etc. Countless families saw quick money and then quick bust thereby ruining the chances of respectful survival of an entire farming community.
No effort was made by them to ensure that there was quality education - primary, vocational/technical, professional etc. No effort was made to ensure that the industries employed local youth instead of inviting Biharis, Oriyas, etc. The only thing these CMs did was build strong personal/family empires having networth of thousands of crores if not lakhs of crores of rupees. Within a span of a few decades they rose from rags to riches by supposedly doing what they like to call SOCIAL SERVICE.
Thats right Gulia Sir. So does BJP in Gujrat ( Adanis). Would you count that as well Sir?
How subsidised diesel is questionable? Subsidies are all over the world but the kind of subsidies American farmers getting are completely pro-farming and farmers. Indian farmers still can compete in production but what about the reward in return. Please have a look whenever you have some time sir.
While still waiting for your reply to my two questions which I have asked for my knowledge sake and not for comparing BJP or the Congress, I would like to state that the economic policies of the BJP do not seem to be very different from those of the Congress. Both are pro-Industry because this is from where their funds come. They remember the farmer only during elections.
Yet, I would like to give BJP some time to prove or disprove itself.
Congress is gone sir. How come present Haryana CM increases the VAT on diesel by the punjab petro-business lobby.? Is he a CM of Haryana or Punjab?
Samar bhai, there is a difference here. The land given to Adanis is not rich agricultural land. It is semi-arid land in Kutch which I have personally visited. Kutch region is among the agriculturally backward regions because of the relatively poor quality of land/yield.
So, I do not see if waste/fallow land is given for industry where employment is generated for the local population. However, if there has actually been a wrong doing, it should be brought in the open.
As Gulia ji said whether BJP or the Congress, any wrong doing should be brought in the open. These govt. should be under constant public gaze and scrutiny and should be made accountable for every action of theirs whether big or small.
Samar bhai, I talked of all CMs - Congress or non Congress. Jats or Non-Jats. The only thing that matters to them is money and family.
Everything under the sun is up for sale - land, govt. jobs, tenders and above all - Imaan (Honesty).
Sir I have lived in Kutch region and mind it, its the richest agriculture value when it comes to cotton crop.
Like you said, people voted for BJP in the name of inclusive development, not for such ordinances.
So Bhaisahab what do you suggest in such dystopian political situation ?

Everyone is trying their best!Congress is gone sir. How come present Haryana CM increases the VAT on diesel by the punjab petro-business lobby.? Is he a CM of Haryana or Punjab?
