Can I say somethin?
Exactly women now are intelligen enough to take dier own deciesion. Nobody needs to tell an individual whether its men or women abt thier boundaries. Wat's wron for us may not be wron for others. So I believe Let one live his/ her own life the way he/ she wants. We take care of our own selves n rest of world will helpthemselves. Am I right? Correct me if I m WRONG?

Then why to justify herself and put the blame on others for pushing her into this profession....If they want to booze and smoke then must tell parents that this is what i like to do and i'll do it irrespective of your consent/non-consent....

At the current scenario, all LAWs have been made for the women convenience.Let's take a example "a lady files a case that she was raped by a man for 5 years continuously" u can look such cases in newspaper at a large scale. do u think a man can rape a lady for 5 years ?? Strongly objected ......Nooo... lady is also equally responsible for this. If it was being done without her consent, why don't she shout in the beginning.The most common fact behind such cases is if a man deny to fulfill her illegal demands , she registers a case .. otherwise everything was running fine....
We need to come out of this superstition that only a man can exploit a woman. Woman are also doing this business.... Never look only one side of a coin before come to any conclusion.......

Absurdly, if there is some kind of sympathy and compassion for women,, why not we have seminars all around the nation nd specially in educational institutes on dowry ?? Or about girl child,, education.......??????? NO ,,, we choose to have discussions nd happy criticising the commercialisation f female body.......WHY....?? The topic is TITILATING.....FACE IT MAN.......
HOW much do we care for the women and their bodies........ I TELL U ............. IN one week more women die because of minor pregnancy complications in this country(my india) than the no of women who die in whole f EUROPE........
laast year ,,,, only in and around Delhi,, 900 women were burnt alive for DOWRY........ Those were female bodies only........WHEN THOSE BODIES R BURNT THE SOCIETY IS TOTALLY IN SESITIVE...........and AT THE SAME TIME IF THOSE BODIES ARE SHOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY F THIS SOCIETY....more often for the benefit f body owner,,,, we get very upset...............

Everbody is self centered...sees things with own perspective...we cant make drastic changes but we can do make changes in our own circle of control....things r not in good shape for women ofcourse....being an altruistic is difficult....so it will take time....making women body commercial is benefical for the women who do it and for whom its being done....everbody is here for own's sake....so there is no much of harm in it....wat is more problematic is dowry deaths, foeticides...we have to cut the root cause....that is finanacial independence of women and we can see it overselves here only that female members of jatland who r active r quite in this league so they r as good as we men r. ..

Rathi dear , the datas u have collected really reflects the bad condition of women in our country. whether it's a matter of sexual harrasment, dowry or any other. we are too much harsh towards women. But who is the responsible for that ??? only men.... No... If a woman is burnt due to dowry. Who plays the key role in this conspiracy?? obviously, a woman( Mother-in-law, sister-in-law of the victim).If a man divorce his wife because of not having a child . who instigate the man?? obviously

Its such an absurd statement. today most of the men rnt comfortable with their sexuality becuase..thy find everything provoking.... it has nothing to do with the way a girl dresses, no matter wat she wears will always remain a piece of meat in man's eyes n we guys need to change tht mentality.

"Urgency elbows out the Important" is a very old saying. There is so much urgency to reply that we often forget important issues that get left out. Please hear me out.
There can be no right or wrong in such a debate because NO ONE IS RIGHT OR WRONG. It is too vast a subject and perceptions (individual and societal) are dependent on environment, education and morality. All this makes it a very complex issue.
Let us not give undue importance to sex. Not because discussion is taboo but because it is not that big a deal as it is often made out to be. All rapes don't take place because of sex alone. There are other darker qualities that come under the preview of ego, strength/weakness, honor, revenge, dominance etc. By the way minimum rapes take place in Arunanchal Predesh and half the women can be seen topless. One has to only watch nature and animal kingdom to know that sex is so very common in thier world. It is only human beings who have made it a point of discussion.
Then is the issue of our bringing up. Our elders were not wrong when they took some basic precautions as regards to ensuring that children don't get carried away and involve themselves in something that was considered wrong. Haven't we spend half our lives thinking "Log kya kaheninge". That's a fact of life. We JATS are very conservative, not orthodox or extremists. I remember very vividly that what we could do in Sonepat as children (like brothers, sisters, cousins etc palying cards, Chuppa Chuppi or going to watch a movie) was not possible in our village, just 10 Kms away, even though I consider myself lucky to be born in a family that was & is very forward looking. But certain things are no-go. Well, that's how it was and probably is.
The dice is loaded against a woman, right from the time she is born. Accept or reject the view but you can't neglect it because that's a fact. And things are not getting better inspite of our so-called strides in education, science & technology. The exploitation gets worse each day. There is a reason why. There is a growing trend amongst youngsters (boys & girls alike) today to 'Chill Out' because 'Only one LIfe' and 'So much Tension', therefore 'Have a Ball'. This trend was fortunately seen only in Metro Cities in the 80s but now it has spread to smaller towns too. It is impossible to look for what is right & wrong in such a confusion. For some wearing a jean is an expression of total freedom and smoking of achieving 'Nirvana'. I personally have nothing against either.
The issue of Female Sexuality is a completely different issue. My only comment is that women have equal rights. Whether our society allows them to have those rights is a totally different question.
My advice to my young friends is (not that they need any advice because Saare Baap sein mhare!!!) not to get confused and maintain a sense of what is wrong & right, always & every time. You decide what are your parameters for what is right & wrong and follow them in letter & spirit. Let us not bother about Mallika Sehrawat. She has decided what is right for her and is going to get to where she wants to. In clothes or without clothes. Let her. And it shouldn't bother anyone. Simple.

Jaggu sir, adding on to your inputs,i strongly feel that men have double standards as they can bare themselves but a lady should not show her skin because that skin is the copyright of the man owning it.For we the men every other women is a thing of consumption /use but our own sisters/mothers are chaste like SITA. The fault lies in brains and not on ground.We see only what we percieve and we percieve durt and thus the whole problem.When a lady gets raped by the husband for whole life that is PATIVARTA dharam but if she is raped by some vulture in a street...She is of loose morals? This mindset tillted against women is the root cause of the whole problem.
As i have highlighted in some another post,Women have to take charge and get their rights on their own terms and not demand from society/men........They are begging for what? It is birth right of each indvidual, irrespective of the sex to expirience life equally..then why the women beg? Stand up and be counted.I am sure they need no support from the very oppressors,who had been making their lives hell since inception of mankind. Go women go and snub these THEKKEDARS of Morality. God bless you! If you feel you are weak...you will stay weak,if you feel that you can do nothing....you will not be able to and if you feel you will then the day has arrived to stand on the podium of WOMEN LIBERATION! Make a choice and fast.
