The insistence of the present Congress govt. to host the visiting Pakistani PM on his personal visit to Ajmer Dargah despite public protest is highly questionable.
On the one hand, there is growing public sentiment against the visit especially in the backdrop of the mutilation of bodies of the jawans in the near and not so near past and on the other hand, our Foreign Minister is hosting lunch and laying out the red carpet. How can the govt. of a country move ahead with peace initiatives when the grave provocations by the other country continue without any break? What will it take for this spineless corrupt govt. to wake up to the reality that no matter how many efforts India puts, Pakistan's heart towards India would not change?
In fact what is also heartwarming to know is that the Diwan of Ajmer Dargah has while keeping aside religious lines decided to not host the Pakistani PM till the time he accepts the fault and bring to task the Pakistani culprits.

Oh certainly not, we should board a bus, go across the border or do a special Jinnah appraisal tour. Then when Pakis come illegally we should restrict our army and knowingly order them to suicide.
The AFSPA is draconian and has been misused many times. There's a woman, in case you have heard of her, Irom Sharmila, on hunger strike for quite a few years against the AFSPA.
God forbid, if the body of any family member of the ruling establishment had been mutilated by the Pakistanis, would they still have talked of SHISHTACHAR, DIPLOMACY and PEACE?????
The soldiers guarding our borders also belong to some family or the other. For a change I agree with you, partially though. No need to shower their PM with favors. We dont need war but we need not bend over backwards either to accommodate their personal visits.
But I am not for cutting off all ties with Pakistan. We cant wish our neighbors away. We do need ties for any resolution.

Congress is misusing democracy since independence. Should we agitate and go on hunger strike to scrap the democratic system in India??? Use and misuse depends on moral and value of the people in power. And bad luck of our society/country is that who ever speaks about correcting values and moral, tagged as either Communal or Kangaroo Courts. Though they are not always right and correct but not communal/ kangaroo courts at least.

Also, the two Italian marines outrightly deny returning to India to face trial in the killing of Indian fishermen despite the undertaking given by the Italian ambassador to the Supreme Court. Even during the trial, these marines unlike other undertrials were put up in guesthouse and hotels, given leave/parole for celebrating Christmas and then for casting votes (which could have been done through postal ballots).
India is not a soft state, but that is precisely the message that this Congress govt. is sending out to the world and above all, to its own people!

If not completely scrapping it, it could be re-evaluated and safeguards added perhaps?
And you are right, whoever opposes misuse of systems and laws gets tagged. Traitor is another common adjective used, just like communal or kangaroo courts.

उत्त पदेश के एक नेताजी के बचपन का किस्सा सुनाता हूँ आपको |

cbi का एक अप्रैल 1963 को गठन किया गया था। उद्देश्य था कि ये एक ऐसी संस्था रहेगी, जिस पर सरकार का नियंत्रण नहीं रहेगा और निष्पक्षता से ये अपने काम को लक्ष्य ताल पहुँचाएगी । वैसे तो सीबीआई डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ पर्सनल एंड ट्रेनिंग के अंतर्गत आती है, जो सीधा प्रधानमंत्री को रिपोर्ट करती है। किन्तु इसके अधिकारियों की पदोन्नति और स्थानान्तरण गृह त्रालय के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आते हैं। जिस कारण प्रायः सीबीआई पर केंद्र सरकार के दबाव में काम करने के आरोप लगते रहे हैं।
कल जिस प्रकार करुणानिधि ने समर्थन वापस लिया और तुरंत ही सी.बी.आई अपने आकाओ के कहने के पश्चात स्टालिन के घर विदेशी कार आयात के एक मामले में तुरंत ही पहुँच गयी, वहाँ पुनः एक बार सी.बी.आई की भूमिका पर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगता है कि सीबीआय का दुरुपयोग हो रहा है और यह केवल कांग्रेस के इशारे पर ही कार्य करती है।
वास्तव में सी.बी.आई का भूत कांग्रेस को इस कारण भी बाहर निकालना पड़ा क्योकि मुलायम ने भी अपने पत्ते नही खोले थे , और बेनीबाबू के बयान को लेकर मुलायम कोई नया षड़यंत्र रचने के मूड में थे , जिसे कांग्रेस ने भांप कर स्टालिन के माध्यम से तुरंत ही अपनी एक चाल चली, जिससे यह संदेश मुलायम समेत यू.पी.ए के सभी दलों को पहुँच जाए कि सी.बी.आई नाम का नाग अभी भी कांग्रेस के पिटारे में है , कोई किसी भुलावे में ना रहे, आखिर कोई भी मंत्री इस सी.बीआई के विरुद्ध खुलकर मुँह क्यों नही खोलता?
आमतौर पर सीबीआई को बड़े पैमाने पर हुए भ्रष्टाचार और चर्चित मामलों की जांच ही सौंपी जाती है। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में बोफोर्स, हवाला कांड, प्रियदर्शिनी मट्टू हत्याकांड, सोहराबुद्दीन एनकाउंटर केस, भोपाल गैस कांड, 2 जी स्पैक्ट्रम, कॉमनवेल्थ खेल घोटाले के साथ साथ मुलायम सिंह और मायावती के विरुद्ध दर्ज आय से अधिक संपत्ति के मामलों की जांच में भी सीबीआई की निष्पक्षता पर प्रश्न उठे हैं।
चर्चित दारा सिंह एनकाउंटर केस की सुनवाई के दौरान राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट ने ये कड़ी टिप्पणी की कि सीबीआई एक ही मामले के आरोपियों के साथ अलग तरह का व्यवहार करती है। वो अपने लक्ष्य से भटक गई है। उसके कामकाज को देखते हुए उस पर भरोसा नहीं रहा। इस संस्था को ही बंद कर देना चाहिए।
खैर आज नही तो कल इस सी.बी.आई के फन को भी कुचला ही जाएगा और इसके विषदन्तो को भी तोडा ही जायेगा।
