Creative Movies of all Times

yes

Leaving Las Vegas, recently watched this movie, absolutely mind-blowing. Don't know but it feels to me it is inspired from Bollywood's epic 'Pyaasa'. Indeed one of the finest by Nicholas Cage.

Reviewers titled the movie as 'The dignity of love and the depths of despair' , 'Powerful Film About Loneliness And Acceptance' ..

Ardh Satya !!

Ardh Satya Arguably the best movie of Om Puri, which depicts conflict between mind and soul, to choose between good n bad, between future n self-respect n more. Om Puri and Smita Patil both acted flawlessly and Sadashiv's debut performance was also captivating. This movie rocked my senses, it realizes how hard it to choose and stay on path of Truth n Honesty, everyone tries to deflect you from your way, suddenly everyone becomes against you, the stress and the dilemma you go thro; all these reflected in movie superbly.

Any story comprises a premise, characters and conflict. Characters plotting their own play promises triumph, and a militant character readily lends oneself to this. Ardh Satya's premise is summarized by the poem of the same name scripted by Dilip Chitre. The line goes - "ek palde mein napunsaktha, doosre palde mein paurush, aur teek tarazu ke kaante par, ardh satya ?". A rough translation - "The delicate balance of right & wrong ( commonly seen on the busts of blind justice in the courts ) has powerlessness on one plate and prowess on another. Is the needle on the center a half-truth ? " The film tries mighty hard to do a one-up on the poem. However, Chitre's words are too powerful, and at best, the film matches up to the poem in every aspect.

Truly Classic, outstanding inspiring movie. Truly Creative and flawless !!

Thoda sa Roomani Ho Jaayen

Thoda sa Roomani Ho Jaayen One fine movie which I watched many years ago but it still remains fresh in memory. Inspired from classic 'The Rain Maker', Amol Palekar made one gem of a movie .. light-hearted but intense!

The film is a comment on a society that brands people into images they should be, and talks of individual dreams and aspirations. Set in the background of a small town in India, against the harsh weather conditions and lack of rain, the story revolves around a girl who is unconventional in her ways and appearance, in-feminine in the conventional sense of the word, and therefore subjugated to much negative public opinions and advices on what she should be. She is supported by a supportive just father, a younger brother who is about to turn 18 and a realistic, discouraging but loving older brother. And in their lives then enters a man (Nana Patekar) who believes in magic and tells them that he can bring rain! The story unfolds with much poetry and a dreamlike quality that is magical.

Its magical, Nana Patekar steals the show as usual, his unique style of dialog delivery in a poetic way is majestic. You'll love it if you're a parallel cinema admirer and luv artistic and inspiring movies.

A very good review: http://passionforcinema.com/thoda-sa-roomani-ho-jaye-for-rk/

One of my All time fav!
