Can't Believe it...

I don't think it would be wise to comment on whether the present CM of Haryana and his family is involved in this dowry case, as no one but the parties involved know the Truth. The case is sub-judice and as they say 'The law will take its own course'. My personal view is that these are personal matters between the two families and would get sorted out.

And franakly speaking how does it matter, because as long as he is doing good work as a CM it should be fine. If he can do what he is promising to do for the people of Haryana, especially the villages, he may go down as the best CM the state has ever had.

Dowry, given or taken, is a social curse and can't be justified.

Regards,

JS Malik

Most of us know about what you are pointing to. You seem to basing your entire judgement on newspaper reports, which we all know how they are written. Marital relations are very personal issues and only the involved parties know better about them. Every household has a story of its own. Dignity demands that we leave this matter just here as courts are already handling this. Concerned parties also will not answer your question, as matter is sub judice. From the tone of your language I can see that you have some personal agenda in raising this issue.

Hi,

I don't see any wise reason to raise this topic.

After all it is Mr Hooda's Personal problem. Nothing to link it with his Acievements. He is going great for people of haryana and doing a good job.

Thats why people of haryana elected him with overwhelming majority.

Respected Rajinder Ji,

If I’m not wrong, you are very close relative of Mr. Hooda “ You yourself had claimed in one of earlier thread”. :D

So I can very well see you popping this thread like a bullet.

But believe me I don’t have any personal or politically agenda against Mr. Hooda.

But Sir, This dowry issue speaks volume about Hooda credentials and ethical or moral value. Who can’t control his own family for 4-5 members has no business governing 20 lakhs respected family of Haryana.

Correct, I am related to Mr Hooda and know much more about this case than you know. This is why I advised that we should leave the matter to court and the concerned parties. Coming to controlling the 4-5 members of family. Bhai wo to Raja Dashrath bhi Kekai ko control nahi kar paye thee..Bechaare Ram ko banwaas jana parra..aur fir Seeta bhi mana karne ke bawazood Ravan ko Bhiksha dene se nahi rukee.. Do you mean they were all small people?

Now few counter questions to you;

Can you name me few successful leaders in the world who had no family problems ? Is it a basic rule that only those who do not have any family problem, should be handed over the leadership? Do you think other CMs in Haryana did not have family problems? Do you think Haryana voters did not know about this case when they went to poll? Let us not use this plateform to discuss such personal issues. Most of the opponents of Hooda have raised the issues you are raising...so there is nothing new in it.... What are you trying to prove here by raising this issue by the way?

Really Fact.. :)

Whether to Discuss or not to Discuss

I personally feel that the family problem of Mr. Hooda does not have any thing to do with his capabilities of governance. To that effect, I don't think the issue has a merit in it.

On the flip side, Mr. Hooda is a public figure and all his and his relative's activities would be under microscope. Some of these activities may be genuine and some may even be fabricated, specially, if the opposition feels that he is doing good and is likely to keep them away from power for long or even eliminate them from the political scene.

The question here is not whether Dashrath was able to control Kekai or not or Sita obeyed Ram or not? they were still discussed in public forum and are still being discussed. The reason is simple, they were public figures. There may be millions of people in this world who may be having extra marital affairs, but it was Bill Clinton who was investigated.

Thus, I personally feel that raising issue on this forum is not wrong. We all must give our views on the case of dowry and not passing judgement on Mr. Hooda's ability to rule the state. Dowry is a social curse as Col Malik has rightly said and while it may be personal affair of the two families, Mr. Hooda is a public figure and he must make an effort to come out clean of it. Our views on this social evil should be without passion or prejudice. The key word is dowry and not Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The personality to be discussed is CM of Haryana and not Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. So long we keep focussed on these terms we may not go wrong.

Tavathia Sahab,

Points well taken. We all know that Dowry is a social evil and present CM is as against this evil as we all are. There are no two views about it. However, is this forum competent to comment on present individual case without knowing the facts? Can we hold a court here to prosecute some one without knowing the ABC of case? We all know how every case of divorce in India has a side case on dowry as well. Lawyers exploit loopholes in our laws to harass people. Moreover, this thread has not been started to discuss dowry as a social evil. The thread has been initiated in rather bad taste.

Let us find one person on this earth

respected members,

can we find one person on this earth who does not have a darker side. this reminds me of the old song.....'aisa ek insaan chunno, jisne paap na kiya ho jo paapi na ho' Mr Hooda[the CM] seems to be a thorough gentleman and he wants to deliver the goods! That should be enough.

This thread appeared on the name of sumer77 first and now I see the name of originator is changed to Dudi. Is it something strange or we can have multiple ids on this site?

Should it matter?...

Just a quick heads up; Bill 'Monica Lewinsky' Clinton enjoyed the most popular support ever under the American Citizenery... not because he was a flamboyant guy; but because he initiated the most radical, good and favourable changes in the American system during his Presidentship...
Do you think the American people really cared then what a mess he did with his personal life? Of course, don't get me wrong here...I am not condoning what he did, but the point of including this infamous example is to highlight the historic fact that governance is not usually directly weighed with personal issues... people do not care as long as the person delievers the goods where it really matters! (unless of course those actions taint the very office the person is running and/or affect directly some key issues and policies!)...

It is one id.

Birbal Sir,
It is one id. sumer77 is the 'username' and 'Dudi' is the name provided by the member.
I think sometime back Nitin was looking into getting one name on all the displays to make it consistent but there were some technical limitations.

I am surprised at some of the responses here. People should be free
to post and question. Immediately questioning the motivation and doubting
the identity seems to happen way too often here. Lets not get
carried away, and instead deal with the issue raised.

Now, issues of this nature are very difficult to judge for
outsiders. With divorce, who can really say who, what or why ? Frankly,
most of the time even the people involved don't know. These things
are messy. Things just arent black and white. On top of that these
things ARE very personal and the rest of us should stay out.

Cases of dowry are a by product of divorce or in-law issues. Whenever,
there is some sort of quarrel between the two families, the girls
side immediately makes these accusations of dowry/torture. It is
standard routine. In some cases there is truth to it and in others it
is completely fabricated.

So we should not use this as a gun barrel against the CM or his
family. Let these personal matters be handled by the normal course.
There are far more important issues to consider in my opinion.

Answer to your questions

Dear Rajinder Ji....

let me answer your question with deep respect ;)

Can you name me few successful leaders in the world who had no family problems?

I hope there is none… , but we respected people who don’t wash their dirted cloth in public…at least Jaatni with some respect won’t go to court against in-laws

Is it a basic rule that only those who do not have any family problem, should be handed over the leadership?

Yes I endorse that relatively clean people should be handed leadership.

Do you think other CMs in Haryana did not have family problems?

They have…

Do you think Haryana voters did not know about this case when they went to poll?

Yes they did …But, I hope at least they had not voted for Hooda, They have voted against chautala….But Hooda got chance at last moment, Credit to Sonia Ji 

Let us not use this plateform to discuss such personal issues.

I think this is personal issue for you only…other wise this is general debatable things.

What are you trying to prove here by raising this issue by the way?

BIG NO…I had just casually started this thread….But I hope you are too serious seeing Mr. Hooda name….. (Your Close relative)

With regards and respect

Anwer: I do not know which side are you blaming or complimenting in your above statement. However, once someone has taken the matter to court, other side has no option but to respond.

Yes I endorse that relatively clean people should be handed leadership.

Answer: Correct. Do you think Mr Hooda does not qualify your criteria of being so called relatively clean?

Yes they did …But, I hope at least they had not voted for Hooda, They have voted against chautala….But Hooda got chance at last moment, Credit to Sonia Ji 

Answer: This is a political question and needs political answer. Let me try to be as brief as I can. If people did not vote for Mr Hooda, who do you think should have been CM if not Mr Hooda? I will respond to it after I hear your answer.

I think this is personal issue for you only…other wise this is general debatable things.

Answer: What general points you have contributed so far to this debate except raising the issue in most sensational manner?

BIG NO…I had just casually started this thread….But I hope you are too serious seeing Mr. Hooda name….. (Your Close relative)

Answer: If you read the last paragraph of your original post on the subject, you almost invited any Hooda's takers to respond. Do you call this casual?

I am of the view that even if there is any dowry case pending, till the court has given its judgement it will be premature to make any comment. I too had read the news report in some newspapers long time back but to me it looked too trivial a matter to discuss on a public platform. Moreover, these days every girl, not able to adjust in her new family, is filing dowry case. More than 90% of the dowry cases are filed on considerations other than dowry. The most important being non-compatibility. Hence, till the court decide the issue on its merit, let us not resort to mudslinging.

oh. This is not such a public forum. So why don't you people let us know what happened, i mean what you think happened.

Such a rich and influencial family. Guy in US. Father in Law Haryana CM. This seems such a stupid story. I don't believe this family would ask for a Car. They were CM material. Even some big panwari has a car these days.

If I remember correctly the case was given wide publicity by political adversaries of B.S. Booda during Lok Sabha elections and even the estranged daughter-in-law was put up as a candidate by some political outfit against him and she cried hoarse against his family during her campaign. In spite of all this Hooda won with a big margin. Doesn't it show that people don't believe in her story. Moreover, the father of the girl is some middle level government servant only. A man marrying his only son to the daughter of a middle level government servant would hardly expect big dowry as no honest government would have the means. In case he has the means, he cannot be honest and those who are not honest can hardly be believed. The main consideration for the marriage must have been the girl being a doctor. In Haryana itself there are lakhs of dowry cases pending in various courts and it is one of them. Why this alone has been singled out ? Bansi Lal's son Surender had a troubled marriage, Bhajan Lal was accused of marrying his son to a minor girl, Devi Lal's daughter in law died under mysterious circumstances. Who is clean here ? Everyone has a story ? Everybody has a story to tell about everybody else ? But never forget when a finger is pointed to others three are pointed to yourself whereas the most powerful of the five, i.e. thumb, remains neutral. So the rule of thumb is we are no one to pass judgement against others. They are all matured and educated people. Let them handle their lives themselves. Who knows, tomorrow a compromise is reached and they start living happily. There are thousands of cases in our villages when girls stayed with his parents and after passage of some time they have lived normal married life.

Dear Rajendra Ji,

I am not competent to comment on what intention the thread has been initiated, as that would be mere speculation. Having read the discussion on this thread and on many other threads involving our community leaders, I gather a feeling that we are a little shy of discussing any thing that as per our perception may be affecting the public image of our leaders. No doubt Mr. B.S. Hooda is a rising star of the community and our good wishes will always be with him, unless he does some thing that is not in consonance with his current image.

As I had mentioned earlier Mr. Hooda as he progresses would be subjected to various alligations in years to come by his political opponents to divert his attention and this would be additional burden he has to take, for this is how our politics is. The question here is, how does he get out of this case as a clean person and how does he handles the many more those are likely to follow as he prospers in his political career.

Any one passing judgement on a case which is still pending in apex court is just doing a wrong thing, but the issue could still be discussed irrespective of the players involved as it involves a social evil that is harming the society in general and our community in particular.

Dear Anuj,

While the alligations against Mr. Hooda, may be politically motivated and totally fabricated by his political opponents, the dowry has generally been demanded by the well to do families and not the poor families. It is not the question of who has what? The question in most dowry cases is people think more dowry shows the social status of a person.

As regard to your comment as CM Material. I don't know Mr. Hooda personally, and have heard only good things about him. He certainly a CM material. But in our country where Rabri Devi and Mayawati can be CM, any thing can happen.
