I hope that these games fail miserably. May be that will act as an eye opener for govt and administration and they will take some hard steps to weed out corruption which is swallowing everything. A country can not merely progress by MNCs filling up offices, it needs to do much more for overall development; specially the gap between rich and poor should get narrow instead of widening. On the contrary if that gap is widening with each passing days then that indicates there is no real progress. Let us see what this besharam govt do next.

CWG just brought shame to our country. These old corrupt ministers and officials have failed the state once again. Yes, there was never any pride associated with CWG (in my opinion) as they represent the old colonial times and there is no reason that we should feel proud by being part of these games. The only positive that can happen now is that Commonwealth nations throw India out of this group(though unlikely though). For Those who say this way at least India is a member of influencial club, I don't think that CW nations even act as a bloc in world politics and secondly it has no influence. I cant understand on the one hand we asked the same queen to offer an apology to the victims of Jaliyavala Bagh Hatyakand during her previous visit to India (she said NO), on the other hand our head of state bow before her to receive the "Baton". We feel proud in singing songs for her and she isn't even bothered to come and visit your games which are organised as a show off for her dummy monarchy. We only had 140 Crore(nearly, out of memory) for Leh flood victims but we have thousands of crore to waste on these games. The total expenditure on CWG games is equal to the one year budget of whole police force, centre, state and reserve (Kiran Bedi said in a programme). For how long these old Indian politicians would continue to humiliate rest of Indians. Recently people started respecting India for its intelligent, hard working people but these games has undone all that and once again we are a laughing stock in the world. Still I wish these games successfully happen without any security lapses or terrorist attacks as If that happen India would not be able to recover from that any sooner.

There is no pride in remembering and celebrating the slavery days by being the part of CWG. I wish India should have left this group long back.
I feel sorry for the persons who are waiting for the success of this event. Off course the mismanagement is a big disgrace to the country but not bigger than being the part of CWG as a country.

Yes, now we all have no option but just to support it and pray for the successful completition of these games. I am however against India being a part of this Common wealth ( as I said in previous post). I was told by my friend, who visited some facilities there, that they are really great. I am attaching some photos of some new stadiums and other event areas. They really look world class.
After successful completition, the Govt should sincerly investigate the corruption charges and punish the guilty officials/ministers and (to be more optimistic) should shun this group forever.

When was it declared that India should host CWG in 2010? That must have happened a few years ago to give us plenty of time to prepare or "protest" against being part of the slave-games. I probably missed the whimper of protests against the games until now when media started reporting the ill happenings of poor construction and corruption.
From the internet, a list of few of the advantages of hosting the games (since it is too late to stop them, and if we mighty jats allow them to happen)-
1) World class events like CWG are a test of our nation's capability in planning, infrastructure and architecture. We have already hosted Asian games, and Olympics are too ambitious a project for us. CWG appears to be the right size.
P.S: Have we ever given a thought why only Delhi and its adjoining areas are fit to host such events? Why is it that no other part of India can host such an event?

Finally Govt of India and CWG Committee has conceded to so called Maharani of Britain and her representative regarding inauguration of games. Now it is clear that Prince the representative of Maharani will inaugurate opening ceremony of CWG. That Hon’ble President of India will only read the note form Mahrani.
Again the man Mr Suresh Kalahandi is responsible for this mess up, there are reports that before s6/7 month this man has executed an agreement with Maharani or Common wealth Federation stating in case she will not be able to appear for inauguration then this will be done by her representative.
