What Socrates said is that he finds himself intelligent because he thinks that he knows nothing and with this attitude he can learn eveything. If he have the attitude that he knows everything he can't learn anything.

Yes, assuming that we don't know anything makes a difference that we are ready to know about everything. Smart people never say that they know everything but always eager to learn and that is the fact. Hence they are smart. No doubt.
