Only the bold words needs to be addressed in your post.

What is evident from the Yadav's percentage in PMT is that their children are making more and more efforts (perhaps looking more seats and scope). You yourself can look and compare their success percentage than previous years.

A feeling or illusion that their wards will stop working hard after getting into any category is false according to statistics.

The facts are, that except for a few isolated families of jats, the majority have been denied education and opportunities.

Caste politics ensured that jats would not get to the opportunities, As Sir Chotu Ram once said, “ When people from rural areas try and get education it is denied to them; when they try to participate in opportunities, they find that the gates to those opportunities are held , held by other communities and barred to the Jats and other rural communities.”

Reservation is a tool, a weapon, to achieve a level playing field.

Jats need to use this weapon, not to throw it aside, in a bout of false pride.

yes raviji, plz tell jats about their history in sindh, ....where even krishna was relegated to sudra by alberuni. n alberuni was not in accurate. in 712 ad budh jats were emancipated in their own majority by a new comer muhammad bin quasim. n quasim was surprised to see how jats were beaten badly in their own land.

jats are doing the same mistake as they kept doing always for thousand of years. they never knew their interests. as if till today. vo abhi soch hi rahe hain. aur doosri jatiyan lad mar kat chuki hain...aur kuchh na kuchh le ke phayda bhi utha chuki hain.

PS: I would recommend you should take some courses in effective communication skills and anger/ temper management. Also I, for one, would be very happy to call a yadav or meena a good friend of mine like any other jat or sikh. Caste in itself is not a distinction or a merit. A person's own qualifications and thinking/ behavior is his/ her own merit.

And so if there is a succesful and good natured Yadav, I would be very happy to be put in his 'category'

I think when people say that we would be in the same 'category' as yadavs etc, then we have to deal with a much bigger problem than reservation - i.e. casteism.

Reservation by its very nature is flawed. It should be non existent.

But in our 'system' that is an idealistic happening which will never occur.

In todays competitive world we need everything we can to succeed. Intelligence, hard work and dedication is the foundation. But these in itself are incomplete. Most of the times you need an edge over other similar candidates whether it is a job or an admission to a college.

This ego is a dangerous thing
Long back I had heard an analogy from someone that the word 'I' (like a stubborn person standing) can stand like a wall between one person and the world. But the same I when put down horizontally becomes a bridge to cross boundaries and difficulties...

Unfortunately I have seen a lot of casteism being propagated even with the educated jats who visit this site for example and it is sad to see. Instead of focusing on important issues of education, career and success in the world, we are still talking about being 'above' yadavs or proud jats or blah

ye aarakshan ki pranali charan jat ne obc jat ke khattar chalayee thi. udde ne ek deputy pm suspend kar diya is chakkar me vp singh ne..he was the highest official to be suspended ever in indian history. but that highest officer never knew the policies of his superior charan singh...
