गाँव की चिट्ठी
भीगे राधा के नयन, तिरते कई सवाल।
कभी न ऊधौ पूछता, ब्रज में आकर हाल।।
चिठ्ठी अब आती नहीं रोज़ सोचता बाप।
जब-जब दिखता डाकिया और बढ़े संताप।।
रह-रहकर के काँपते माँ के बूढ़े हाथ।
बूढ़ा पीपल ही बचा अब देने को साथ।।
बहिन द्वार पर है खड़ी रोज़ देखती बाट।
लौटी नौकाएँ सभी छोड़-छोड़कर घाट।।
आँगन गुमसुम है पड़ा द्वार गली सब मौन।
सन्नाटा कहने लगा अब लौटेगा कौन।।
नगर लुटेरे हो गए सगे लिए सब छीन।
रिश्ते सब दम तोड़ते जैसे जल बिन मीन।।
रोज़ काटती जा रही सुधियों की तलवार।
छीन लिया परदेस ने प्यार भरा परिवार।।
वह नदिया में तैरना घनी नीम की छाँव।
रोज़ रुलाता है मुझे सपने तक में गाँव।।
हरियाली पहने हुए खेल देखते राह।
मुझे शहर में ले गया पेट पकड़कर बाँह।।
डब-डब आँसू हैं भरे नैन बनी चौपाल।
किस्से बाबा के सभी बन बैठे बैताल।।
बँधा मुकद्दर गाँव का पटवारी के हाथ
दारू मुर्गे के बिना तनिक न सुनता बात।।
