EC can ban the national ones. JL can have their own :) for the upcoming Haryana, Lok Sabha elections.

Question is how many seats do you think will INLD win?
It's a poll.

Regards,

Vikas

.
Vikas, before putting this poll thread, it should be mentioned as to how many seats are being contested by INLD, along with list of candidates and their constituencies. Without full information, it would be premature for anyone to express one's opinion or give a 'vote'.

.

Dear Sir,

Although I agree to what you have said, the truth of the matter is that if people still do not know about a candidate from a place or worse whether INLD is going to even contest from that seat or not, you probably know the outcome in that area or can intelligently guess it.

In other words, a weak seat can be counted out barring a miracle.
To some extent even scientific Exit polls will have a statistical allowance and remain what they are: a survey.

So in conclusion I believe everyone has their own opinion of how many seats INLD will win.

It would be interesting to see how close the reality is after the real counting.

Regards,

Vikas

Ofcourse I meant INLD+BJP combined

I just assumed that combination. Dont know how to change the heading of poll though I would assume it is implicit to most as I have provided figures till 10.

INLD Candidates:

1. Sirsa - Dr Sita Ram
2. Hisar - Prof Sampat Singh
3. Bhiwani - Ajay Singh Chautala
4. Rohtak - Nafe Singh Rathee
5. Kurukshetra - Ashok Arora

BJP Candidates:

1. Ambala - Ratan Lal Kataria
2. Sonepat - Kishan Singh Sangwan
3. Karnal - I.D. Swami
4. Faridabad - Ram Chander Bainda
5. Gurgaon - Dr Sudha Yadav

Out of this... I can see 3 seats of INLD as clear win: Sirsa, Bhiwani and Hisar

Kurukshetra - chances of INLD winning is 50-50 (Jindal ki Naasa mein dhooma de raakha sei Bhai Ashok Arora ne.. and HJC is very weak there)

Rohtak and Sonepat will go to congress - except Mr Birender Singh does some miracle in Jind area to defeat Hooda's candidate!

Karnal and Ambala - BJP has very good chances. ID Swami and Kataria are good candidates.

Gurgaon - HJC and Congress are main contenders. Heard that Rao Narbir Singh of HJC is giving tough fight to Inderjit Singh.

Faridabad - no idea !!!

Vikas bhai...Aap ka kya khyaal hai? I think you have voted for 0 seats for INLD... is it?

Secondly... why only for INLD... you could have asked "Who is going to win how many seats?"..... HJC and Congress are also in fray.. so any specific reason asking only for INLD? :) ....

Also...I would request members to please write which option they have selected? I selected "5" seats for INLD-BJP alliance in Haryana!

This Guy Satpal Sangwan (former SDO in BSNL) was once very close to Ch bansilal and was MLA from Charkhi Dadri in 1991......Chaudhary bansilal was behind his political career success! But after Bansilal merged his party with Congress in 2005...Satpal has parted his ways with Bansilal family.

Satpal contested last election as independent in 2005 as Bansilal failed in getting ticket to him from Dadri...( instead he got tickets for his son Surender and Son in law Somveer from Loharu).... Satpal has been with HJC since then :) :) :)

Same is the case with Former MLA from BAdhra... Mr Narpender Singh... Bansilal did not think about him as well and Narpender contested from Badhra as independent and now is with BJP.... !!!

both these are strong leaders in Dadri and Badhra and against Congress now !!!

:)Ram ram Anil bhai,

Firstly thanks for posting the names of candidates as one member had requested.

Secondly, I asked for ILND+BJP combined as in a poll you can ask one of these only. I mean you can have people vote for either COngress or INLD+BJP combined and not both at the same time:) But I guess it is the same thing (for e.g. you saying 5 for INLD+BJP will indicate that your belief is that COngress will take about 4 or 5)

Thirdly, I did not want people who vote to be confidential as many people dont participate for the fear of being targeted by strong supporters of other parties :)...very much like real voting, in the end no one should ideally see who you voted for

Fourthly about me, well I said 1. In my belief it will vary between 1 and 4. But I voted on 1 as I thought that looks certain, 3 are still dicey and can sway either ways.

Baaki kyon logan te unke vote poochke joot bajvao so...:D issne nyon hee secret rehen dyo ...

regards,

Vikas

Contesting only 5? Has BJP become that strong in Haryana? Does INLD think that it would benefit on the 5 seats it is contesting because of BJP? Otherwise, won't Chautala have been better off contesting all seats and then doing a post-poll alliance? Also, has INLD got some seats in other states like Rajasthan?

Kapil,

It is politics... decisions change as per circumstances...

Giving 5 seats to BJP was a good decision to take as looking at the past record of BJP and INLD...all 10/10 seats were won by the alliance in 1999!!! The seats given to BJP are having very good number of non-jat votes! Hence it was important !

Definitely, this will not be the scene in assembly elections... equation would be somewhere like 65-25 or 60-30 or so. This is because BJP has very low rural presence in Haryana and there are many assemblies whcih are purely rural.

INLD is definitely gaining becasue of alliance with BJP and vice versa. My few posts below give the LS seat wise figures of last elections in 2004. You yourself can see the NDA power :)

Situation in Sirsa During last Lok Sabha elections 2004:

ATMA SINGH GILL------------INC ----349397 Votes
DR. SUSHIL INDORAM -----INLD ----277922Votes
MAHAVIR PARSHAD-----BJP---------115128 Votes

If you add INLD and BJP votes... sum was enough to defeat Atma Singh Gill......but unfortunately both parties contested separately !

Situation in Faridabad in 2004 elections:

AVTAR SINGH BHADANA-----INC -----357284
MOHD. ILYAS--------INLD-------------------205355
RAMCHANDER BAIND----BJP-----------171714

INLD + BJP together could have defeated Congress candidate here !!!!!!!

Situation in Kurukshetra in 2004 elections:

NAVEEN JINDAL------INC----------------362054
ABHAY SINGH CHAUTALA--INLD---201864
GURDAYAL SINGH SAINI-----BJP---126910

INLD + BJP votes could have given a better fight to Naveen Jindal !!! But not to worry.... this time they will :rock

Situation in Karnal in 2004 elections:

ARVIND KUMAR SHARMA-------INC-------318948
I. D. SWAMI----------------------------BJP-------154186
ASHOK KUMAR ARORA--------INLD--------113510

INLD + BJP = 267696 closer to what Arvind Sharma got...

Situation in Bhiwani in 2004 when anti-incumbency was at its peak .....Still BJP + INLD could have given a tough fight to Bhajan Putr..!!!

People gave votes to Surender Singh just assuming that he was defeating Ajay Singh Chautala. Had they known that Surender is losing..they would have not voted anymore for him..!!

:

KULDEEP BISHNOI -----------INC-------290936
SURENDER SINGH ------------HVP-----266532
AJAY SINGH CHAUTALA ----INLD-----241958
RAM BILAS SHARMA-----------BJP-----24467
