First of all thanks for all of the contributors on threads to make the past few months interesting.

Just like Ramlal said, in fight of two one will fall. No matter they can assess, improve themselves and come back stronger. I always like a strong opposition as by this way the ruling party will be on their toes and at last benefit will be of people - the common man. But self-introspection is necessary, accept the defeat and with rational mind choose the right moves and changes among themselves. A lot has been said here on JL by many members logically and both parties have their people access to this site if they want to know the common man's opinion as normally nobody will say wrong on face in field. The loosers can improve by looking what they did wrong in their tenure last time and why people are so much offended. Ruling party can pick their lackings and improve those points not to give any option to the opposition next time.

Also members dont tease the ones who were on other side(either side). Even if anyone of them were totally illogical in their replies now they themselves would be feeling their mistake. As Vikas have said, talks without logic are not heard by many second time.

Overall, I am happy for the following:

1) Clear mandate for a party in centre. Now the 'Dalal' type politicians will be mute and they will not blackmail govt. Dont know if its coincidence but its very good to see people of India are ruling out parties of state level for LS. On the other side am very much worried about the increasing level of reservation ... what will arjun singh do this time

2) In Haryana, people have recognised the better people in politics. May be in some of the constituencies state govt works reflects but I am happy to see the results of Hissar.

Here, Sampat Singh has nearly made it. Means people here too recognised good keeping 'apradhik image JP' at third. I feel if Hooda havent made so much efforts there then Sampat would have won as the votes those might have been come to JP after Hooda's shows were at the cost of Sampat.

3) Deepender Hooda winning it loudly. He is soft spoken, he has been in his constituency for most of the time, he is approachable, learned and did efforts to bring new big projects like R-J-R Railway line, 6 lane highway, AIIMS etc etc for his people.

Since beginning I was only requesting people to praise for the people who are doing some good in this stagnant and corrupt environment. Its ok they might not do 100% but still we should Pat ones back who is doing better than the previous.

Hope Deepender will work with more force now and will thank back the people by more efforts for them for such a strong strong mandate.

Hello Jitender bhai,

You have rightly spoken and touched a few good points.

What I am happiest about is the fact that on a generic level, people are more 'aware' these days. This is at least one good aspect of the technological progress that the Indian society has seen in the last few years.

No matter who wins or looses, the electorate decision should be an Educated one. This can happen only if they are well aware of happenings around them and the social needs apart from their own private needs. In the contemporary times, it is not easy to mislead the masses.

Mass hysteria of personality cult is also less than before.

Education combined with educated decisions will force any elected government to show real results or be routed in future elections. This fear itself like a self regulating mechanism in an economy is good for India at both the state and central level.

A good trend that has been seen is that people have rejected candidates/ parties who wish to divide people along caste/ relegion lines. This is vital if we ever wish to progress and compete with the advanced countries of the world.

These are hard times for most people due to the world economic situation. The need of the hour are well meaning and well educated (read as aware and capable) leaders at the state and central levels who can help create jobs and think not just from term to term (5 years ahead) but atleast a decade ahead in terms of development projects.

In this last respect, I believe Dr MM singh is a very good candidate. Being a well read economist and an honest man, he can do what he had inititated back in early 1990's that first paved the way for India's progress into a developing/ emerging economy.

We need more and more privatization in all sectors. Only that can increase the overall GDP/ labor hr for the country or in other words the standard of living for the masses.

Regards,

Vikas

A margin of 4,45,736 votes for Deepender Hooda!!

That is unheard of not only in haryana but also in the entire nation. Even Sonia Gandhi has won with a lesser margin!! All the candidates except Deepender ofcourse lost their deposits in Rohtak! quiet extraordinary

That also for a sitting MP.

Nothing can take away the fact that in a volatile electorate like Haryana, which has been known for anti incumbency waves....retaining 9 seats out of 10 and breaking so many vote margins is spectacular for the Hoodas.

Dear Vikas

No doubt, the victory of Deepender is very comprehensive and he has won this election with one of the highest margins in the history of Indian parliamentary elections but the record remains with late Sh. Narshimha Rao who won Nandyal seat in Andhra with a margin of more 5 lacs votes beating earlier record of Ramvilas Paswan who won Hazipur seat in 1977( Most Prob.) with 4.27 votes.
In the present Lok sabha Sh. CM chang has won from Nagaland's only seat with a margin of 4.83 lakhs.Nevertheless, Deependers victory is a huge one and certainly highlights his popularity & vindicates his commitment to developmental initiatives he has taken in his constituency!

Well done Bhupender Hooda and his team!

I wish, Choudhry Sampat Singh, one of the most respected state leader across party lines, had won the Hisar seat!

Bhai Jitu, agar Virender Singh Unchana mein cross voting na karwata tab JP ke chance ho sakte the! You can see in Unchana,a constituency from JP's home district, people have voted against the trend. Anyways, this is what,is all about Politics!

Cheers!
