What cause pure water to reach at maximum density at 4 degree...while pls do remember the specific heat of water is always counted at 14.5 to 15.5 degree.........
Pure water reaches its maximum density at approx. 4 degree C.
Baki ki baat maine apni pichli post me likh rakhi hai..

If only i can recollect!
i remember vaguely, it is due to hydrogen bonding which dominates intermolecular forces and causes some alignment in the crystal structure(expansion?) if temperature goes below 4 degree. Not quite sure though! :)

Urmila Ji... I have a different thought to be shared...This is true that step down make current less lethal. There is no difference in terms of lethalness even if you are using 110 or 220V.....it is not the voltage alone which decide the lethalness....Frequency and power has to be taken into account....in foreign countries voltage is 110V but at the same time frequency goes to 60Hz...In India...frequency is 50Hz which means it allow one to save his/her life every 1/50th of a second.... while the chances in foreign county are seems to be better which allow one to save his/her life every 1/60th second...but at the same time, time duration to save life is far better in india...as per every single pulse( because human mascular response to save his/her life is not quick enough as in comparison to the frequency) in both the case power is going to be almost same...b/c P=(I) square*V .....Hope this helps.....QUOTE=urmiladuhan;272112]Another reason for step downing is to make it safer for use in homes i.e., less lethal. In many foreign countries, the usable voltage is 110V instead of 220V.

It definitely helped :)

As per the power formula, 110V is less powerful than 220 V. Very nicely explained. Thank you :)

Deepak jee, koi hint ?

I must appreciate your efforts....Indeed you were very close to the answer..whatever be the state of water(solid, gas, liquid, super fluid) ...it is going to have hydrogen bonding.....as water cool towards 4 degree...the thermal vibration among lattice structure of water reduce to its minimum value...as at 4 degree it is in the most stable form...and if you reduce the temperature further then water structure changes and try to compact in hexagonal structure and because of this change water lattice expend which significantly change its density.... internal thermal energy of water molecule at 4 degree which cause the all three kind of motion i.e. atomic vibration, translation and rotational motion also get cease...

In olden days people in the desert used camels to go from one place to another (they still do in places). The stomach of camel was used to store things i.e., was used as a bag. Since it was sort of leakproof, it was also used to store liquid food items such as camel milk during travels. What do you think would happen to the milk due to coming in direct contact with the stomach of the animal? (hint: think of what is released by the stomach)

Urmila ji

Ankur bhai ne poora khol ke samjha diya. Mane to jisa yaad tha usa bhaand diya tha tutya-futya.

Deepak jee, aap ka reply padh k mannae laag gya tha ak reply sahee direction mae ja raha hae - ek diagram bhi yaad aan laagya water at 4 degrees - badhiya question tha!!

PETN stands for Pentaerythritol tetranitrate. It is an explosive material as already stated in the question.
I think it is enough a hint to make out answer for "tough detection"! :)

PS : If i give further hints, it will become an answer in itself :p

Taking a clue from what you wrote, maybe it is so unstable that it explodes in no time! No time for detection!!!

.

Naa Urmila ji. jawab sahi nahi hai..

You are thinking on some other lines. May be lingo in question is lil ambiguous.

Will give another clue.. It can pass through detectors installed at airports!! :)
