JUSTICE previal. A good day for India. I wish these executions shouldn't take 22 years. Such trails should be completed within 6-12 months. A big slap on Seculars, human right activists.

It takes 22 years to Hang Yakoob, very strange. It happens only in India. These type of persons should be hanged with i n4-5 months.

Amazed to see the coverage on front page for various top news papers. Long live media! Hamare desh ka bhalla hona bahut muskil hau

Apparently, Yakub came to India in hope of fair justice and protection to his family. It's being also said that he gave crucial information to India against Pakistan.

So this coverage seems to have some substance.

A question arises, if he was not involved why did he go to Pakistan? Pls don't tell he been there to bring in evidence.

There is no need for the moderators to worry about. I could, probably, be already on the radar of the so called "Security-agencies".

Unthankfully to the decades of corrupt government's rule, injustice in India is the order now. It has crept upon all the pillars of a good nation. It has become a business for many, including police, these security-agencies, defense, judiciary and all.

Can you explain what content above your post could be objectionable and lead to prosecution of author under IT ACT? I could not find any such instance which was objectionable above your post. Would be helpful for us to get out of a misunderstanding if there is any. Regards.

This is what is called "unnecessary moderation".. and that's why this site is dying...full dictatorship.....and Mr. khatkar words were very harsh!...better to keep this attitude in your pocket..or in plain words..ya chaudhar aapne ghar main chalao!

Bhaisaab I doubt !

Earlier I thought the same but it's getting very confusing and fishy. I believe Yakub was very intelligent man but fall into a trap of CBI and RA&W.

Definitely he was one of main conspirer but when he was captured he tried to act smart and thought if he pass information he will be saved from gallows. But he was wrong. If you watch his interview on youtube. You will find its very confusing, misleading and full of lies.

Capital punishment is not very easy in India, so if his mercy plea was rejected by SC judges that too in middle of night then definitely he was guilty and one of main culprits.

I found this article today on TOI and surprisingly it's one rare sane from TOI.

This TOI article presents only a single side view, that is of the court. The doubt's are not about the court's verdict. But, rather the action of "intelligence agencies" and the defense lawyers. That's what the NDTV show presents, "the Supreme court did a commendable act of hearing the petition in the middle of the night".

What is being debated is the help offered by Yakub and the role of "intelligence agencies".

Personal note : To put the record straight about my post, I as a member of the site had just shared what came to my notice on the issue, nothing more nor less. Perhaps, some friends have taken it as intervention of moderator in their freedom of expression. This is not so as not a single word of any esteemed friend has been touched/altered or quoted in my post. This I think is under the normal rights of all members. Isn't so !So instead of gunning for my blood in the guise of saving the site, Friends, kindly write something more important than hounding for moderator {s} Site was here before I joined, site is functional to day and rest assured will continue to flourish when I and many others would be not around ! So cool down tempers friends and contribute if you could without favour or fear, I am not here to stop anyone but to share my own views on issues of my interest. Cheers !!!!

The stand of Intelligence agencies pretty much presents the view of the State on any given topic. And for that matter, the way State operates is a very complicated thing to understand. Perhaps someone who is part of the govt. can elaborate. I feel that most of the times, State is not Just. This reflects in the decisions taken by them. Unlike normal people, a State decision has other aspects also involved, for example Vote bank politics, or to create an impression on the masses, that X n Y type of incidents would carry harsh punishments. India is a multi-ethnic country with a past, where the majority of decisions were taken by the sycophant congress with an appeasement policy always in mind. Our judiciary does take a lot of time, but it does so with almost every other case. In this particular case, people who are crying foul are not even realizing that SC worked in middle of night. N then they gave the decision in the wee hours that go ahead, we feel you can hang the convict. So, why is that some people feel that justice was not done? If SC cannot do justice, blv me neither can Tharoor or any other person!
