@Rekha, you are influenced by Punjabis/brahman and Baniya culture from your childhood, cultures which are based for the purpose of business (LOOT) and religion attached to that.
You came to Jatland because there is Jat blood flowing with in you, you are very active and everyone here feels proud on this.
Jat as ANNDATA is very laborious peoples not very spiritual and lives at ground level celebrate festival related to crops harvesting as that is only the time when there is something in home to celebrate.
Rest all other festival related to spirituality are just made for the sake of business (LOOT) to take away everything from poor’s so that they should not have saving for survival in their bad days and always look towards these Banias.
You Came on Jatland, you may be tasting little bitter here but slowly slowly you will understand the difference between ground level logics and illogical logics (manufactured ones) , you will also understand why these peoples afraid of Jats, who speak out truth on their face, they never have that guts.

Friendship day toh khatam , ab aage dekhte hai .
Sir still I won't mind celebrating any day or any festival----I love doing so .
Looking at the response -----I should not be posting such thread again .
However I won't stop -sorry coz I do not see any wrong in it .

Then why is it thought in schools that Festivals are celebrated to bring u out of your busy life and spend your time with family and friends .And , It is really good to celebrate whatever be the reason and base.. It is all in ones perception and way of thinking no one is wrong... If u right the other person is also right.. If everyone is same and do same thing It is against.. Nature.. And world won't be really happening..
and I always see people in JL talking about other caste and pointing them out.. Instead , Why don't one concentrate on developing themselves by analyzing ..
Are we all so much perfect.. and are we always right .. ? To point a finger on others.. ?

फ्रेंडशिप डे मनावन तें हम ने कोए एतराज कोणी...अगर इस में किसी का भला हो तो...
लेकिन एतराज यो स आज जाटा के गाबरू छोरे.... वक्त बर्बाद कर के, इस फ्रेंडशिप डे के चक्कर में मोटर सायकल /कार पे तेल फूकते , महंगे ग्रीटिंग कार्ड खरीदते, महंगे फूल खरीद के , महंगे coffee shops pe.... अपने माँ बाप के पीसे खराब करें सें इस कल्चर में...... रक्षा बंधन पे अपनी बेबे को जो दे दिया वा उस का इस्तेमाल तो karyaa करती.... घर का पीसा घर में इ था .... लेकिन जैसा की देशवाल सर ने कहा..... ये सारे डे-डू सिर्फ धंधा चलवान खातिर सें..... फ़ालतू के फंडा तें बचो (कावड की तरह) ...... एर फ्रेंडशिप स किसे गेल तो हर दिन इ फ्रेंडशिप डे स.....हाँ लेकिन जैसा की यो थ्रेड चलाया रेखा ने... इस में तो कोए हर्ज नहीं..... या भी राजी हो लेगी / हो लेगा......!

Instead group of friends hang out..

कोय सा लगा के आशा...एब मेंने इस फंड का इतना ज्ञान कोणी... सब में बर्बादी तो स इ .........बाकी ya hang-out के हो स...कित लटकाया करें छोरे छोरियां ने बाहर ले जा के ?
I mean they go out to celebrate instead of going privately.. with one individual. People of different age group have there own way of spending time with friends. School kids go out to park to play with there friends , teens go to malls ,movies.. , working people(20-25) go for outing to some place or do malls , (30+) people who drink sit and share drinks...
Everyone has there own way ...

You will have your answers only when you will know about Jats history and how they come out from the dirt. How this cast of farmers and soldiers never got their share any of history books as all your text books are also influenced by so called other casts. Jats are only to feed country and for securing border of this country and never for sharing the comfortability services which come out because of his own blood and sweat.

YES, you are right it does not have anything with friendship day. why not everyday is friendship day. the motive behind celebrating day is just bussiness and nothing else, also this create lots of misunderstanding between friends because of waiting time for this day to come why not patch up asap.
For real and good friends . Every day is friendship day, everyday they fight patch up.. But this day is special.. and we do special things with our friends in the name of friendship like birthday to celebrate ur birth .. Friendship day to celebrate.. friendship ..

"OK" I dont like stretch it furthur, for hard earners and poors celeberation is internal and not external. for easy money makers celeberation is almost external and very less internal, just have a thought on this. cheers.

with this point.. alone....Just today I saw on a US based TV show that last year alone Americans spent $3.1 billion on flowers and greeting cards . 1.1 billion on greeting cards and remaining 2 billion on flowers. The host was encouraging people to rather donate that money to some sort of charity.
Honestly, Until few years ago I didn't know if such sort of days existed i.e. Father's , Mother's etc.
IMO, there are not many festivals/occasions in Christian religion so they have "made these up" . Now companies have started capitalizing on these by offering sales, specials and printing greeting cards etc.
