"Hindu Terrorism" - Is this right?

Recently, some politicians and media houses have unveiled a new term - "Hindu Terrorism".
The term is now increasingly being used in media and some politicians (most of them Hindu themselves) have become so fascinated by it that they are not leaving any opportunity of using and linking it with any bomb blast.


Is it right to label a religion as terrorist, just because few people of a religious outfit are suspects in some past incidents?

Do these politicians say "Muslim Terrorism" for any terror attack by Islamic outfits?

Have you ever heard the term "Christan Terrorism" or "Judish Terrorism"?

It is an irony that even after being a majority in the country, hindus are labelled like that..and more sh*t is that these hindus themselves choose the same persons as their representatives who are calling them bad name..It is OK not to be religion fanatics but how the majority of this country is bearing this...i wonder!!...is it not an insane attack on the majority of this country..is this called secularism?

This is nothing but conspiracy of Congress to win more n' more Muslim votes. This cheap Muslim appeasement policy started way back at the time of independence by Gandhi n' his followers. Irony is Hindus are being targeted in their own 'majority' country. I remember what Wikileaks published that baby boy's statement about Saffron Extremism. And now the height of it, Digvijay Singh is blaming RSS and Hindus for the Mumbai Blasts, what a shame! :mad:

Other day I was thinking and trying to find out how and why RSS is being ill-famed n' labeled as terrorist group. Can anybody provide some insight of it?
 
"Hindu Terrorism" is a derogatory and objectionable term. Terrorism has no religion and it is not fair to prefix any religious adjective with it. Media is certainly over hyping the incidents of terrorism involving some Hindu fanatics. Instead of using Hindu terrorists, these fanatics could be simply referred to as militants, extremists or terrorists.
 
very true....no religion teaches its followers to resort to violence and hamper the peace....its a pity our polticians stoop down to such levels to gather few votes

Expected something solid info rather than sucha sarcasm. Anyways, I don't believe they're really involved in disturbing religious harmony or like that although there been allegations n' criticism of their involvements in riots but those were merely allegations. I believe affiliations of cheap groups like Bajrang Dal, VHP and BJP leaders like Advani etc brought bad name to the Sangh. But if you research n' dig more about RSS with empty mind you'll come to realize that their involvement in building society and nation has been huge from Education, to various NGO involved in rescue n' relief works etc. Adarsh Vidya Mandir is a well known school chain in India which has been providing quality education with Indian values for long. As for their 'Sakha' part .. whats wrong in working out together n' play sports ?

May be RSS is pro-hindu so what? Ain't other religions have there own such organizations? This is ages old grunges of Congress after Gandhi's assassination by Godse n' RSS' support in securing Hindus rights .. that actually led to this conspiracy of making it ill-famed and spread false image of it, like what they tried hard for Bhagat Singh, Subash Chandra Bose and Vir Sawarkar.

I already stated, am not a religious guy so don't have any biased approach for RSS. All am trying to find out the reality about it with rational mind.

Looking forward for some sensible inputs with valid facts ..

I recall a candid conversation that I had with a ward of congress Neta, she was quick to claim that the sole reason of Muslim terrorism is nothing but a response to Babri demolition. It was evidently misplaced argument. Though, there has been a slight spurt as a reaction to Babri, but it was nothing but a growth of few saplings in already fertile and productive land which has been producing bumper harvest for years together. This was a conclusion drawn to help further vote bank motives of congress. Same is the case for so called “Hindu Terror”, a few fringe elements, with hardly any operational capabilities and almost zero support from majority community, have been branded as THE BIGGEST THREAT to Indian polity. This to allow perennial victimhood on the perpetrators of Jihadi terror and to divert attention from problems at hand. I have seen a sense of insecurity of being born a hindu, in some of fellow citizens, which is reinforced by propaganda about this so called saffron terror.

Lower casts in Hindus have been fed with a mentality of perennial victimhood from the upper cast oppressors and all this talk about abuse of word Hindu for Terrorism does not resonate with them. For them, this hindu terror, if at all it exists, is nothing but an upper cast phenomenon, and it is better if this phenomenon can be used to re-in the upper casts. So two birds have been hit with one stone..in fact three birds:
  1. Erstwhile, unknown, Saffron terror has become a term of discussion. Gradually, it will be on our tongues and will become a talking point now and then. Seeds of suspicion have been sown, every time, an attack happens, any tom, dick and harry will rise and say that lets not rule out hindu terror angle. Attention diverted from main issues, incompetence prevails.
  2. Lower casts, who gradually could have been mainstream has been put back in confrontations with the emergence of largely upper cast phenomenon of Hindu terror with an RSS (cleverly propagated as an upper cast hindu outfit) footprint. Mission Accomplished, purpose achieved, vote bank strengthened.
  3. A sense of justification to radical muslim elements. See we are just responding to hindu terrorists, now they have one more aim: to counter hindus who are out there to finish them off. Mission Accomplished, purpose achieved, vote bank strengthened.
A wholesome development could have reduced radical elements in Muslim ghettos, but no, let’s introduce the term Hindu terror. Let there be no peace between the two communities! Mission Accomplished, purpose achieved, vote bank strengthened!! Sinister designs germinate, demagogues thrive!

Well written article, Vikas. However, the involvement of some misguided BJP fringe groups claiming to be saviors of Hinduism cannot be ruled out, the ruling party mavericks have blown it out of proportion with a clear intent of pampering the Muslim votes for the next elections. Undoubtedly, it smacks of their appeasement policy. While comparing to the monster of terrorism which, evidently, has its roots in Islamic fundamentalism on the Indian soil and abroad, the so-called Hindu terrorism or saffron terrorism do not even deserves to be called terrorism. It is just a backlash at a very miniscule level which is borne out of frustration caused by the government’s crass failure to contain the fundamentalism in the name of Islam and Jihad. The coinage of terms like “Hindu terror” is, of course, a cheap attempt on the part of Congress and other parties aimed at short term political gains at the cost of social harmony which is certainly vitiated by such kind of phrase-mongering. The fact of the matter is that terrorism in India has an implicit and explicit support of a majority of Muslim population in one way or the other. This is, however, not to say that all Muslims are terrorists, but so far there has not been any serious attempt on the part of any prominent Muslim organization to thwart the nefarious designs of those outfits who have been spewing venom against non-Muslims in India and have been killing innocent people, especially Hindus in the name of Jihad. Government needs to come with a heavy hand to crush such outfits. Unfortunately, this is not happening. Either government’s intelligence gathering has been a failure or the vote bank politics is stopping it to take any stern action against the potential terrorist outfits. But, the ruling party will have to pay a heavy price for this attitude in the coming elections.

agar koi hindu group kissi bhi bomb blast mai involve hota hai to i dont think thats wrongg......i dont think u guyzz know a **** about history.....we hindus have always been screweddd by these muslim bastartddsss....hum kab tak chuppp baithe rahengee.....kabhi delhi ke zafrabad yaa seelampur janaa tab tum logo ko pata chalegaa ki yee mulle kitne madarchodd hote hai...visit hyderabad n go to old city.....u cant go theree alone afterr 8pm....m not concerned about politics or any ****in party m just talkin about reality....hum jat dominated areas mai rehte hai isliye safe hai..kabhi uslim dominated areas mai jakarr to deekho...jatland.com pur apne vicharrr batanaa n reality mai zameen asmaan ka farak hai bhahiyo....in d next 25 years we hindus would b minority....aur hum sab aise hi eek doosre ko blame karte rahengee....believe in action guyzz......make a strong hindu party n wooo hamaree against bolee uskee muh mai de dooo.....got it..

Jat is a race. They're found in Hindu, Muslim n' Sikh religion. Btw, here we're discussing about the latest cheap trick being used by Congress to defame Hindu community in the name of Saffron/Hindu Terrorism. What it has to take with Jats being Hindu or not with this very discussion?

ठीक स भी. हमने तो बेरा ही नहीं था . चोखा तने बता दी (वैसे जाट ईसाई भी होवे स )
