Firstly, i have been very much living with the Indians in India....

I agree funds dont reach poor but it doesnt reach to people because of whom? because of people....

People have a choice to choose whom to elect and whom not to... when they choose the wrong person then they are ones who will suffer.....

I base my opinion on facts. I went to the same high school as Indira Gandhi in Switzerland. Our family was invited to dinner by a person who was Indira Gandhi's guardian in high school (this was in 1977 and he was in his 80's). The topic invariably turned to Indira Gandhi. It was her guardian who revealed that Indira suffered from low self esteem and displayed all the problems associated with that behavior (including trouble with boys). She also put my family members in jail for no reason other than they belonged to the opposition.

I exercise my right to free speech just as you display your right to spew gibberish.

The government's responsibility (as I see it) is to provide infrastructure, enforce laws and contracts so no group or person is disadvantaged, and the atmosphere for success of a small business is maximized. It also should subsidize or insure critical industries like farming where an individual farmer is too poor to insure himself against poor harvest, and the output (food production and farming legacy) is important to nation's survival. All western nations subsidize their farm industry.

A government's job is not to provide jobs. That is a socialist model and fails in every instance it has been tried. Perfect example is comparison between the former West and East Germany. Same people, same religion, same ethics, but socialist model had the country in a quagmire.

I have not been to Haryana recently, but if the infrastructure is improving, including transportation, reliable electricity, water and sewage treatment, and corruption is down, then the govt. is doing its job.

Yes my dear friend Indira Gandhi was indeed a male prime minister and the only male PM of India....

Can you name me a single PM who could have carried out operation blue star?
Naaa no one would they will care about their dirty caste based politics before taking a call on such a operation... to speak in your language - Only Indira Gandhi had balls to do it and she did it

It only takes a Gandhi and Gill to drive out terrorism from Punjab... rest have still not done it in Kashmir

i ardenty support this fact that she had the guts (and she only) to wipe out terrorism in punjab. kashmir is suffocating due to the dire lack of such leadership and has bcum the pain in ass of india

Probably that's why she is called "The original iron lady", title stolen by Lady Thatcher later.

I just like the guts she had to stand by herself in individuality of her thoughts. Though lot many people here castigate her. But she was the best prime minister we have had (my personal view) since i think till now if i look at any politico in india, none is determined as much as indira was. I gotta know a lot other facts about her from Raghu Rai, who shot "A Day in The Life of Indira".

I am tired of seeing those dumb headed and lamb type politicians who give up to allies demands and have no mind of theirs.

Margaret Thacher was a true stateswoman and a visionary.

She changed UK's politics and economy for good and left an impact on world politics.

Indira Gandhi apart from few flashes of brilliance (bangla war to name one) did nothing , Her motivation was to remain in power and groom her family to rule India.

And speaking one's mind proves nothing, I dont think she ever spoke her mind in public domain, whereas Margarert did.

Indira was "politician" to the core.

No comparison really.
 
I think Indira is only one respoinsible for terrorism in punjab..., she is the one who supported bhinderewala...and later on bhidnerwala went against indira's wishes...

I presume, an unsual protrusion of her cl** might've given people an optical illusion of a p***$, but then facts become history, history becomes a legend and a legend finally a myth.

Nonetheless, Indira amply displayed "manliness" when she screwed one and all, including all those samajwadis, during the Emergency.

This is not a FACT but a figment of imagination. Indira's mishandling of the Bhindarwale issue, storming of the Golden Temple and subsequent killings of hundreds of pilgrims, Rajiv's reluctance to rein-in the rioters after Indira's murder were the real reasons behind militancy and bloodshed in Punjab.

Bhai please be careful with using words describing genitalia - this is against our culture. Some Mr Jakhar will leave a message in your inbox - an infraction (from editor - a job that he has voluteered for to bug ppl)- explaining how this is against our culture. He has also stated that ppl living in US should not use "such words" to corrupt ppl living in India.......since you are in New Delhi....he might pay you a visit and complain to your parents.
