Mr.Jaspreet please try to understand that if we will not have emotions for our country then we will never be able to protect it.
It is like : When your father or mother has fight has with neighbourer that means u will enjoy the defeat of your mother or father.

Right said brother. Patriotism is original strong emotion if you don't have then you won't ever fight for your country.

Krishna ji - Patriotism is different from Chauvinism. Nobody is limiting your emotion for your country. But emotions are better used productively rather than at such needless hoopla.

Emotions does not need any " Kintu and Prantu"
Emotions are worthless if not channelized or combined with tact. Filing cases against those students under over zealousness did nothing but expose our own shortcomings as a unified country.

Everybody is aware who is creating commotion. Its frivolous to expect a certificate from everyone, Modi has already garnered enough support to form the Govt.

What led that has created a situation in this country? Is that not the sickularism which has done this?

Did you post in the wrong thread perhaps? The Modi and Congress threads are elsewhere.
First post yes it is in wrong thread. Sorry :)
Second is relevant here. It is Congress which has ruled us more than 60 years and it is out of their policies we are into this situation.

Valid point and though it is related to the topic in an indirect way, I don't think the 'cause' of this situation is being discussed here. We are discussing whether its wrong or right to support Pakistan in public.

Looks like you got metric to measure which emotions are worthy and which are not.
Mind you, this is not merely sports sprit or rooting for a team, it was deliberate act to show off what these Kashmiris want.
If they love Pakistan so much why the hell they came to India to study and work? Bloody traitors!

I was speaking about all emotions in general.

Just saying Pakistan Zindabad doesn't mean necessarily mean they love Pakistan. In this case they clearly did it to piss off the opposing group.

I think its high time we discuss cause and find a solution.

Why not have a trip around Srinagar and figure out what actually it is for, it this thing was meant for a simple cheer for pakistan that is one thing, but the sheer hatred they have for our Nation is not at all acceptable.

Agree. Its required for sure. But not on this thread. I have no problems in joining you on this topic on another thread. I am sure you will appreciate that to keep the discussion focussed.

At the risk of digressing - Kashmiris dont really love India; that's a well known fact. But two things here - We dont know if these students too hated the country. We are just assuming it because they said Long Live Pakistan. Secondly, even if they did - You will make them love the nation, even if they don't want to?

Since the thread seems to have reached its climax without conclusive remarks and personal remarks/provocative language has taken the place of healthy discussion, it is closed temporarily so that more arguments supported by logical facts, the discussion could be taken forward.

Inconvenience regretted !
