Thanks Major Sahab and Dahiya Jis,
Though left village 26 years ago and India in 1990, I am pumped up to see that I still know some of the difficult Haryanvi words. In fact, at least for the last 15 years, I have been hardly able to use my mother tongue as I am married to a paro who was born and brought up in MP and hence is totally ignorant about Haryanvi language. My efforts to teach Haryanvi to children have all been in vain. Hence, knowing fully well that this test is for young children, I could not resist to brush up my Haryanvi which I find so sweat. Sadly there are very few young kids who know good Haryanvi. I remember once we were in Delhi and my mother told my son "beta jaada sai, saud oddh le". He came running to me and said : "Papa dadiji is talking about some sword". It became a joke in my family.
In fact Haryanvi cannot be expressed fully in Roman script. For example, "syappad" is more like "samppad". If we write "Sappad" the meaning completely changes and denotes "gulp" (sara ghee sappd gya). "Shappad" or "syappad" is also used for a longish digging instrument whom some people also call "sabbal".
Anyway it is a good device to force at least some Haryanvi down the throat of young jats. Carry on.
