Not sure about the kind of leadership that Sh. Yashpal Malik has given for Jat reservation.
The only thing which is true is that he is a Jat and he has been in the forefront of peacefully agitating for reservation for Jats.
At this juncture of crisis facing the entire community, it would not be wise to point fingers at one another. It is imperative that all stand together in solidarity and ensure peacefully that the demands of the community are met by the govt.
If Sh. Malik is an anti-national element as per the sedition and anti-national charges against him, Saini and Arya are murderers who have blood of innocent people (Jats and non-Jats) on their hands. They are the main culprits who pitched one community against another and thereby shredded the social fabric (bhaichara) that has prevailed in Haryana (and other Jatland) for centuries. It is astonishingly disappointing to note that so far no govt. action has been taken against Saini and Arya is out on bail and both still are putting into action their dangerous plan on a daily basis.
In the times of crisis earlier, Khaps used to play a key role. However, thanks to the paid media and the other vested interests, Khaps have also been discredited and have no credible standing in the national mainstream. They are equated with Kangaroo courts of mohlads who give taliban styled farmans (diktats). Unfortunately, even the courts have bought into this malicious campaign against the Khaps in particular and Jats in general. So, in the absence of any leadership (organised or individual), the community is being taken for a ride. Leaders like Sh. Chautala were put behind the bars by fellow Jats like Sh. Hooda and the benefit of which is being reaped by the BJP.
It seems that the agenda of the govt. is clear that whoever tries to proclaim the Jat leadership role will be put behind the bars and the most stringent of all charges (sedition and anti-national) will be slapped on him. Irrespective of the reality of there being factions, one and all should stand behind our people who are being hounded by the vested anti-Jat interests.
By now, petitions should have been moved to the National Human Rights Commission, Supreme Court and if need be the United Nations. But alas, there seem to be no signs of consolidation. Rather, we are still riddled with factionalism and petty leadership issues.
Finally, once again an earnest request to all brothers - we need to be careful in ensuring that we do not play the characters in the play scripted by such dangerous authors as Saini and Arya. We need to stand firmly together with our heads held high and feet firmly on the ground as peaceful, law abiding citizens. At the same time, we have to expose this dirty politics being played in Haryana by some (irrespective of political party). Mind you, non-Jat politicians cutting across party lines (BJP, Congress, etc) are spreading the forest-fire of communal confrontation and disharmony. We have to ensure that they are not successful by building bridges with the other communities and creating awareness nationally about the moral high ground that we have all along occupied.
