Dear All,
Our mind is our best friend, it is said. Our thoughts have a direct impact on our health as well. Many demands are made on our mind, especially in new situations. The ability of the mind to stay in good state is a trait that I believe, can be developed. I have some experience in this regard that I would like to share.
In my day to day life when the demands start tiring the mind, it is time to replenish the minds energy, which I do so by meditation i.e., focussing on the breath. During this time, I donot prevent the so called tiring thoughts from coming to my mind. In the midst of all this mental 'traffic', the focus on the breath allows me to still the mind and identify the reason for the so called 'troubling/tiring thoughts'. A stillness of mind allows to reach the core of the matter and a solution is invariably found. The mind feels fresh and energised.
How do you keep yourself happy and contented?
Regards,
Urmila.
