cricket cricket !!!

Thats the irony .... .we love watching cricket and expect medals from shooters and boxers....how many of sports lovers watch other sports except cricket..cricket is not a game, infact it has become a religion ...here in India, kids are born with bats and cricket hats....So many sponsors for cricket

The fact is that good players are produced by sponsors, coaching and audience..for other sports, there is no sponsors, coaching as well as no audience...how many of us can tell about the rules of hockey and volley ball...but most of the guys can tell about the Power play...... see the graph of hiring players for 20-20....

we can easily see coaches gossiping over hukkas in govt stadium...some of the places in haryana have swimming coaches but no swimming pools....the whole state has just a single archery coach...

the backbone of any sport is Sponsorship..sponsors will attract if there is audience.Govt here can provide only the kits and balls but no true backing....

the other fact is that the future of a player in India is not secure...you can see a good player doing a job of T.T in railways or a head constable in police...some medals cant earn bread for the whole family.......

Bhai Rupi

U are right about sponsorship that every player should be sponsered by some company even at domestic level but these big compannies only care about making money but dont like doin smthing for the players. I rekon there shuld be a law passed by Indian govt. which obligate the big companies which are more than 100 to sponsor the sportsperson from different sports.
Rahi baat apkee few medals cant bring bread and butter for whole family toh bhai haryana govt. announced 2 crore for gold, 1 crore for silver and 50 lakh for bronje which is really good amount.
Yes i know still there are lots of ifs and buts are there but this is what our country is!

Rupi ! good point and it raises another question about the quality of coaching.
I believe our coaches need to upgrade themselves with time in order to train our sportsmen in the right fashion. They should adopt technology & scientific approach and keep an eye on what is going on at international level.

spot on mate !
atleast the companies like reebok , nike, addidas etc which sells sports gear , must sponsor and encourage sports rather than just taking the profit away from us.

tu kimme na kimme bhigan karega

jodo ka dard ho ja 15 saal pacche tai 'zhandu baam - zhandu baam , peeda hari baam' laa liye ar 'hamdard ka tonic sinkare' ke 1-2 ghooth mar liye, gold medal kitte nahi gaya tera :D

sabash-sabash deepshi jeeee !

'chess' kissa lagya karre :p usmai dimag lekin ghana laag ja sai

but i never seemed to like that dribbling thing or anything bout that game!

but IF i like sumthin,,,its passionate..m on fire..
or else m NOT into it!!

facilities ...... passion coaching and other things later

i think india lacks infra structure ...india will win medal when wherever u go u find world class infra strucure and any body can access it via very small entry feee... infra structure shd be there for every sport .. when ppl follow any thing there is no body to chear so much .. after ppl do things repeatedly they tend to like it and no need for cheering ..........

like reliance covers whole india in network .. facilities of sport shd be that way.....
thats why china is a major force in world now adays ..... passion to dara ka dara reh jaaya kareh if facilities are not there ....when ppl play with world class facilities right from birth then india has so many pppl that u never know who develops skills in defeating all like phelps....

i am seeing india sports as a very weak in future ..analysts can predict but no truth in it..

naveen , no doubt we dont have an infrastructure and if we have it will help alot.

but we are talking about encouragement and passion. no matter what kind of infrastructure u have it wont push u to be at ur best. its all about the right attitude for sports.

one can only do his best if he has the passion otherwise not. facilities definitely help that person but they are useless for people who doesnt have any interest.

running, boxing, soccer, vollyball etc can be played anywhere to start with.

infrastructure is the second stage after there is enough people to play the sport.

how many people go for jogging ? think think think. its all interest and motivation.

America is not into cricket ! why ? do u think its because of facilities?
everone in brasil play soccer ! why? they play it anywhere because they love it.

there are many more examples.

does break dance need any facilities ? No it doesnt.
it needs ground, music and passion. everyone got it on this planet.
then why we dont have break dance in india ? think think think

khana accha naheen milta. Meat/protein kum milta hae. bhooke aur nanggae log exercise itne acchi naheen kar sakte., sports accha naheen khel sakte.
climate is generally hot, most people are poor. due to genetics also indians are not good in sports. indians have difficulty digesting protein.
forget about government schools, even in private schools teachers participate in helping students to cheat so the schoool gets good result in board exams. forget about sports in private schools. they play girly sports of table tennis, badminton, and the useless, slave sport of cricket. the world except for very few countries does not care about useless sport of cricket. indians are barely okay even in cricket. india did not even qualify in field hocket as indians coiuld not adapt to quickness required on the artificial turf. there are little sports facilities even in private schools. children just run around in city parks. the pt teachers are not qualified. they don't even know what clothes to put on to practice for some sports, no training in nutrition, equipment. there is little to no encouragement. the corrupt politicians run sports authorities like their own property. the list goes on and on.
kd jadhav the bronze medalist in 1952 olympics in wrestling died penniless, a poor dejected man.
then there are the usless, poor quality hindi movies the escape for our youth.
fat, short, bald actors like govinda and salman(hair transplant) actors are idolized. they make crores of rupees by doing haha hehhe he ha ha.
break dance is from 1980's, it is not sports.
china carefully picked its athletes and trained them for years to get 51 gold in olympics. india as a country is too corrupt, lazy, without pride, self respect and just empty, useless talk to act like china.

.

Your writing shows that you are quite young. This also shows that you do not have a right feed back from your srroundings. Too much negativism is not good for health and it will affect a lot in development of your personality. It is my personal advice to you that instead of finding faults you must try to do something constructive to remove those faults.

?? What are you talking about? I am stating facts that keep Indians from doing good in sports and getting medals in Olympics and other international sporting events. Look at the physique of Indians in general. They are thin and fat at the same time. Indians generally eat food lacking in protein, fried food, have poor physique with narrow shoulders, undeveloped chest, few muscles and are thin in body structure and have high body fat at the same time. Do you expect people with poor physique to win medals in Olympics? They can only play the slave game of cricket, a game which the rest of the world does not care about, a game which does not develop body, a useless game, a game for a man with poor physique. Indian scan only sing songs and talk. To win medals in Olympics one has to have a lot of dedication, will, support, right diet, training, coaching, freedom from the slavery of cricket, and be training at an early right age and a lot more. We don't have any of these. Nor that anyone in power cares either. They just talk that is all. Empty words.
China spend $586 million on preparing its atheletes for Olympics, their system has political backing, they hired foreign coaches for sports they are least familiar with and their results - 100 total medals and most gold medals - 51 speak for themselves.
India's results. 1 gold and 2 bronze for a country with about the same population as china points to repeated failures of Indian sporting system.

Bhai mere

Did u heard the answer what Sushil Kumar used to eat and that is Doodh, Halwa aur Churma so he still fetch a bronze medal and does't need any meat for that and same is with Vijender. So Dikhavon par mat jo apnee akal lagao. India is not empty but it require efforts and motivation so i think u are not right on this point as well.
Anyway views are right on some points but not on everypoint ur right.
Rahee baat physic kee toh yaar itni abbadi mein goron jaise physic ke bhee bahut mil jyange.

Let me see. Doodh mein fat/protein/sugar, halwa mein starch/fat/little protein, churma mein bhi halwe ke tarah.
The above menu lacks protein, vitamins, it is not a diverse food menu.
These are 2 men with broinze medals. We call them exceptions, with extraordinary talent/skill in their respective fields? 2 bronze medalists in a country about the same population size as that of china is not a good example.
If sushil was eating non-veg he would have won the gold medal.
If we had so many healthy, strong, talented people like the goras where are they? By now they would have won many, many medals.
It is true that sports infrastructure in India even in private schools is laughable, the school coaches know next to nothing about coaching their respective sports, the vegetarian diet does not lend itself to making people muscular. We rarely hire foreign coaches, talent is not spotted, nurtured and trained at an early stage and I think that is the biggest mistake that we don't get any medals in Olympics or truely world sports.

Most people in India still live in villages. They are still poor. Zinko sirf roti se matlab ho aur zinda rahnenee ke koshish kar raha ho woh khel khelnee ke baree mein naheen sochta. Their only concern is with putting the body and soul together. When one has basic infrastructure facilities it helps a lot. In china the government spends lots of money and they want results so they select the talented ones not the sifarshi ones.
And there is a difference when a child grows up with non-veg food full of protein and a veg based food. The one with appropriate amont/quality of non-veg food is stronger.

Aman
I think u need to cover up ur GK and let me tell u villagers in north India are not so poor as u have mentioned here. They got money man and if ur not agree with me than i wanna tell u that on an average 1 acre is equal 15 lakhs which is more than the worth of a acre in USA or nywhere else. Now are u trying to say that only non-veg eaters can win medals and if u are saying this that makes me laugh. I think in India there are lots of sporspersons who are eating non-veg as well than why they dont bring medals.
For ur kind info let me tell u one more fact about India is that India have the largest population of Milionaires in the world ( not in papers) and i am not saying this, one of our Guest profesor in my university in Australia had conducted a study back in 2004 and he said this thing in his speech.
So the only thing lack in India is Passion for sports and whenever Indians will start playing sports with Passion they wil surely comeup with more medals.

I do understand your love for protein mate ! I really do :D

And u r not completely wrong. I understand how we feel when people form that stereo typical image of our brothers but thats fine we can sort it out atleast when we stand somewhere.

But Aman u got to understand that those 'Deformed' people might not be very good in physique but they are pretty good in lot of other things for e.g : IT, medicine, engineering and lots more (the list is endless)

U wont find many professors, scientists, doctors , engineers etc with a physique of a super model , NO WHERE IN THE WORLD MAN ! lot of our guys fall in that category.

And should tell u. Indians are very resistant to diseases and they can easily adapt in any environment. We drink 'ganda pani' , we eat rotten food (as some people think including u) but we still live , who else in the world can do that. OUR PEOPLE ARE MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY VERY STRONG THEY MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO DO HUNDREDS OF KILOS OF BENCH PRESS THOUGH :p but thats cool we got enough population to lift the weights together. We live together not as an individuals. Family and social cirle is more important than individuality in Indian society.

U r fascinated by China like others in the world ITS MORE PANIC THAN FASCINATION ACTUALLY. People cant digest that chinese can do it. and YEAH WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT THEIR PHYSIQUE. U FIND IT ALRIGHT? F*** NO

Long story short, its all about passion. Anyone can do anything only if they are mad about doing something (and dont bring exceptions into play they r always there)

Ciao
