Story is weak . Some common man fight still nowhere comparing to " The Wednesday " . Many places movie goes haywire . Very few dialogues are good . RH need a lot to work on his acting ......amazing voice but acting ***** .

Do not watch it .

Hooda needs to work on acting?? Give me a break .. he won't act as per your liking. He can't be Sharukh Khan or any other love boy for that matter. He's bloody good in what he do and he is authentic.

Bilkul ji......aise kaise .....how dare I to say any such thing . Rohtak wale kharab acting kar hi nahi sakte matlab hi nahi .

Now Serious : There are 2 type of actors one who are naturally good other who need a good director to guide them . RH doosre type ka hai . I have seen his all movies from " Monsoon Wedding " till "JohnDay " . He has caliber but that caliber is no good if it is dependent on a good director . Best eg is Murder 3 ( why did he sign that movie )

I watched JD coz of his last work Bombay Talkies ...which was good .....but I was disappointed

Lemme end this here : We all have personal choice , I like actors if they act well else not irrespective of anything

Also " he won't act as per your liking"

Little correction .....not he rather no one has to act as per my liking ....

Ji muje aapka advice dena accha na laga. You could have said I didn't like his acting, simple. Why to give your "expert" advise like he has to improve and blah .. blah. Are you a big actor or celebrated film critic?

"I like actors if they act well else not irrespective of anything" - post 1284 .
Ab this is not fair.....aapne sahi se nahi padha ya meine sahi se nahi likha ......

"Why to give your "expert" advise"
Na ji na .....mei toh apni opinion de rahi thi .....woh dene ka right hai mera ......this is democracy

"Are you a big actor or celebrated film critic?"
I can assure you dear I follow neither of the professions you have mentioned.

Lets call it off......else this thread would be no where about movies -----rather our offensive-defensive posts .
Coz na toh aapne meri manni hai na hi meine apki .

I have started it so I m ending it.....

If one does not watch it - their loss . Catchy dialogues , handsome faces , real story based on healthy sports rivalry of 2 racing car drivers James Hunt and Nicky Lauda , real climax twist . After a while a good entertaining sports movie . Unless u have strong competitor u could never reach to success.New face to Hollywood Daniel - superb acting .

I m so pretty sure , no one has seen his " Good Bye Lenin". Super must watch movie .

Prisoners

4 on 5

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhal movie. Hugh lost his daughter , Jake detective help in finding the daughter . We have seen some movies of lost and found . This is different in many ways . Till what extent a desperate father goes to find her daughter ( movie line ) . Hugh - abduct the only suspect and brutally torture him on mere suspicion . Movie has so many heart touching scenes - helpless father torturing and begging only suspect , when detective shows him some clothes with blood on them -in order to recognize if they belong to his daughter - that 2 min scene was Superb Hugh - Super great , when other gal tells him you he was there where kidnapper kept them , Jake after founding lost gal took her to hospital when he himself was shot etc. Answer less detective Jake - when Hugh accuses him of wasting time instead of finding his daughter .

Movie is interesting throughout , as there were no clues who and why someone has kidnapped them ( I so wanna tell who is the kidnapper but........????).

Happy ending with a little twist .

Must Watch

My exploration of Aussie cinema continues. This one is a 'noir' crime drama/thriller set in Melbourne about a family of criminal brothers and their equally devilish mother. A young nephew joins this family and things go haywire. Its a serious, riveting drama with hardly any background score and minimal dialogues. The tension in every scene is amazing. Guy Pearce does a great job as the cop trying to help the young 'J' escape the family and the mother (Jackie Weaver of Silver Linings Playbook) is a revelation as a cold-hearted, yet loving woman who tries to save her boys at whatever cost. Inspite of the seemingly slow pace of the movie, things build up very fast and the ending is totally unexpected. This is a must watch.

"Lunch-box" 5/5

irfan , nawazuddin , nimrat..all superb...very talented..
after a long time I saw such a movie that reminded me the era of shaban azmi, naseerudin, smita patil..
nawazuddin ..i saw him first in gangs of waaseypur..what an actor!

though islam hardly endorse films/music/theature.. muslims have lot of talents here..they are genius in singing, shayri, acting etc...far better from others...

.

War Chod Na Yaar, just watched this pleasant touching war comedy. It's a refreshing fun packed satire and arguably India's first war comedy. Sharman Joshi as a Jat Captain acted really well so is Javed Japhri as Captain Kurashi from Pakistan. I came across this nice review and I second with it.

I give it 4/5. A quality movie not to be missed in these days mindless bull$hits.

Faraz Haider's War Chhod Na Yaar is a welcome and refreshing satire on wars. The Indo-Pak border counts as one of the world's most hostile regions but Haider's tender story dishes out a wickedly told film filled with engaging humor that will have you in splits. The commendable effort and the clever take on the theme of war puts across a more poignant message of futility of wars without trivializing the intention of it!

"The film's script and execution is both so interestingly done that watching it will be amply satiating. Luckily it is a simply told story that focuses on making you laugh and yet drives home the reason why the camaraderie works! A humorously weaved satire on how the mechanics of war works, we are presented with a story where soldiers from either end of the border discuss what's for lunch. They sit across the line of control and play cards.

"Director Faraz Haider has carried out his job quite well and you know that for sure when at the end of the film audiences burst into a loud applause.

"Faraz Haider's War Chhod Na Yaar
is a treat of film that manages to evoke moments of ecstatic delight with its simplistic take on the horrific brutality of war which pointlessly creates havoc in the lives of people. The film could have gone massively wrong but the good part about this flick is, it convinces you about its premise entertainingly."
