Need Hope.......Please Help.....!

Ohh.. Nothing wrong. Lets reverse it. You come early or may be you stay at home all the time and see the difference. I am sure you would not not survive for a month staying at home all the time. Put yourself into other person's shoes!!

I think this is a brilliant idea.....fewer the men out on the streets....safer the women will be :applause:

औरत और आदमी के जूते के नंबर में काफी डिफरेंस हो स .........औरत क तो फेर भी आ जग आदमी का जूता (थोडा ढीला ऐ रहगा बस)....पर आदमी क क्यूकर फसेगा औरत का जूता .....पा ने काट गारेगा

Bhaisahab is jumle ka thoda vistaar see vivraan kareen. Kuch baat samajh nahi aee

In male dominated society,
Oh! Tell me why is it a male dominated society? Do males receive some special prasad from lord human to dominate the society?
I never saw woman enjoying equal status.
Constitutionally, woman enjoy much more privileges than man. The fact is that many laws are biased against man.

So many examples in front of us. Skewed sex ratio. Desire for baby boy . Without woman's participation, a society cannot progress.

Why? Why? Why?? Why don't woman participate? In the recent protests against the "delhi rape case" (a feminist movement) there was at least 50% participation form man. In somewhat distant protest, Anna movement against corruption (a social movement) there was hardly 15% participation from woman folks in a city like Delhi. What do you infer from it. Even in this feminist discussion, woman have taken a back stage. Why? The facts are right in front of you all, if at all your eyes are willing to see.

female have to be carefull in every society and every part of the world.I have seen american parents also who r more concerned and protective of their daughters than their sons.i do not see any harm in setting different rules for your daughter or son.Its not a bias but a protection for your child.Prevention is better than cure.parents love their daughters more than sons in modern society but at the same time they r worried about their safety.

I saw this video on someone's FB page today and it really made me think. How do we treat our women?and how do we bring up our buys?

Also can't help but see the guy in the bad pagri in the beginning as every tau or pitaji in Haryana or any Jat family. Maybe they don't literally sit you down and tell you this, but this exactly how we are 'taught' since we are young.

The son can stay out till late, daughter has to come back home the moment the tuition finishes.......the son can drive to college alone, the daughter has to be dropped by the brother or dad and the list goes on.

Of course the issue that how treat our women is a huge question, but just as much troubling is the fact that when ever I hear about honour killings or rapes or molestation my first thought is 'jat hoonge'.

I defend my heritage and community against an outsider with the ferocity of a pitbull, but recently I have the feeling that slowly there is less and less to defend.

I am not complaining, I am just hoping someone will restore some hope.....maybe even slap(only electronically) in me.

Need hope, please help

PS: Nothing against Taus and Pitajis, have great taujis and had a great father and love and respect all of them.

I am sure I am not. I am a man.

You are incapable not because you are a man, you are incapable because you looking at it with a defensive outlook. You need to empathise with women and need to put yourself in their position, maybe then you will be able to see clearly.

It has nothing to do with being a man some of the strongest supporters of equality of sexes are men.

yes its not man vs woman.we all should be concerned for safety of females.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone trying to protect their daughters and women. Although I am not so sure about different rules for men and women. Rules should be the same, just that women can be more careful.

Besides I want a larger question to be addressed here. Women should not need protection in the first place. They should feel safe where ever they are.

you will realize it when you will become parent.rules are different bcoz woman is the weaker sex and god made her like that.yes i understand what u r trying to convey .I really wish the same too.I think only harsher punishments and strong police system can help achieve that .

I guess you are correct in some measure. There are some things that one can understand only once they are in that place, but let me put it this way, you gave the example of US where safety is an issue. I have spent a lot of time in Europe and except some parts of the big cities there, women are safe everywhere. Besides the respect of women, there are strong and certain consequences of breaking the rules there and the parents dont have to worry about their daughters.

It does not take long to punch keyboard and search for statistics. Patriarchy is prevalent in our social system.

"Around 37% of Indian women have experienced some form of abuse by their husbands
- pushing, slapping and hair pulling, punching, kicking, choking or burning -
according to the Indian government's last National Family Health Survey."

Provide some examples.

Its not that women have taken back stage or seat, its the opportunity available to them. Its very unsafe to go out and roam free. In metro city and capital city like Delhi, its very unsafe go out in the evening. Also during movement or crowd gathering, you will still find the cases of eve teasing and molestation. First of all provide the safe environment then discuss about such things. As far as other participation is concerned, women have been cornered for ages. However the time is changing and so is the woman's participation.

Looking at the likes of your post, I will say, no wonder, feminism sells so much and so well!

सीधी सी बात कही थी अक मै या कोए भी लड़की क्यों अपने घर के एक male मेम्बर नै खूट्टे कित्ते भी जाणा हो जिब।

No, Lord Hanuman doesn’t give any special Prasad to some physically superior
idiots who consider beating their wives and controlling them, a big act of
मर्दानगी.
Need I say more about male dominating society??

Now coming to the desires and fantasies of a world of women's freedom. Tell me where does this world of freedom exist, for men?

When life is full of obligations and duties for both men and women, why do only women cry for freedom?

because the moment they step outside they or their bodies are not considered as public property, they are FREE from molestation, groping, teasing and being raped
in principal they have their own right on their bodies and on themselves and nobody else controls them- the basic Fundamental right- to be free, to be themselves.

In the recent protests against the "delhi rape case" (a feminist movement)....

Don’t
have anything to say on this Abhijit Mukherjee-esque statement.

The reason why you dont do it is because you will be ridiculed by men and women alike and you just might be groped and felt-up by your might men considering you will be looking so hot after the fair and handsome......short skirt and diamond necklace.

:applause::topsy_turvy:

Pointless male vs female arguments on the thread, but this may take it to silver jubilee if not golden jubilee of pages.

Neither is there anything "manly" in defending double standards and hypocritical attitudes nor is there anything "feminine" in opposing them.

IPC enables several laws to empower woman in India and some of them are unbailable sections but a woman has to stand up herself to protect herself.

If a woman is exposed to domestic violence she can go to the cops and register a complaint under 'Protection of Women From Domestic Violence Act, 1987' and police will be bound to take actions.

You bet ! Not only this thread, start another one on same topic/lines next week ; that'll too will take the course. Modi Vs. Cong ; Man Vs. Woman are evergreen topics of 'discussions' on JL

The world of freedom exists within, as Mr. Bachhan explains in the scene :) (not only women cry for freedom as you can see)
