I have served/ stayed in all most all states including southern states. Though, Indian society is ruled by five factors, such as religionsm, casteism, areaism, goondaism & selfishness. religion is more dominent in J & k, Punjab, nagaland, goa etc, caste is in UP, Bihar, Haryana, Rajesthan, Delhi, Tamilnadu, urisa west bangal etc, goondaism is in Maharastra, AP, Bihar, UP, WB,ETC, AREAISM IN mAHARASTRA, gUJARAT (LATELY STARTED), J&K , HP, AS FAR AS SELFISHNESS IS CONCERN, ALL ARE TRYING THEIR BEST BUT KERALA IS LEADER. i DONT THINK THERE IS RACISM IN SOUTH, INFACT FEELINGS OF RACISM ARE MORE STRONG IN PANDITS. I must appreciate a very correct observation of mr Ojus. Execpt some places which are spoiled by brainless politicians, rest of India is ok if you are ok. Individual behaviour counts much in such cases. OFCOURSE, i HAVE NOT SEEN PERSONALLY, BUT AS HEARED from MY CHILDERN, all incidences of Australia are not of racism & all Indians are also not clear of blame. Precautions as I feel, a) KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THAT NATION, THEIR PEOPLE, THEIR TRADITIONS, SYSTEMS, LOCAL LAWS, REPORTING SYSTEMS,, B) mix like water in their social, cultural & legal system, donot keep more cash/valuables on person or at residance, c) be visilent always, d) donot start any arguement & it is batter to avoide the trouble, e) Hire residential accomodation in batter areas away from druggies. f) In the presence of locals, talk only in english, donot jock with them, g) have real unity in defending yourselves, avoide exccess drinking at public places, h) donot show your fear even if you have, j) display highest standard of self discipline, specially in dealing with women, playing music at night or any other such activity, k) be more careful from friday evening till sunday midnight.l) avoide going to lonely places, m) if possible & law permits keep some weapon, which can be used for self defence, n) coop with fellow Indians & finally have faith in self & the almighty.

Beti, thanks for yawn, but meaning of doona, not really understood, you may be nice enough to simplify the statement. my intention to pen few of my views for the benifit of our childern, these may or may not be suitable to some or even to all, but efforts & time spent by a person without any selfish motive, may or rather must not be commented in such immature manner. may god give lot of happiness & maturity at the earliest.

Chachaji, thanks for the wishes..yes m trying to..but cant promise "at the earliest" !!!
now m really wondering if I should put simpler english, coz in the past, had upset some people who couldnt decipher the otherwise un-offensive posts properly .
I just casually write whatever pops in my mind.

Humne aise hi bus stand pe ek se poocha ki bhaisaab yaha se marathalli kaunsi bus jayegi? I was again shocked to hear his reply. He said "No North India.. ye South India..!" . humne fer english me poocha (mkha kade hindi na aayi ho smjh me susre ke :D ).. par fer nu e bolya "aey kya english bolta.. ye South India hai, tumhara North India nahi hai!" us din to rolla hon te mada sa bacha bhai.

3. Agar tu bahar kisi dukan pe samaan len javega (except Big bazar kind of places), you have to pay at least 2 rupees more than what that person is actually selling to fellow south indians. And this is a regular custom here. Auto wale to sabke foofa se. nyu dekh ke hindi aala se, double rate bolenge. Meter te jaan ki kahvenge to nyu bolenge ke 30 Rs extra with meter(only with North Indians).

4. ye to yaha tak kat-te hai bhai ke koi north aala doodh ki thailly len javega to usne to natt javenge, er thodi var me kise dhaid (main to in south indians ne sabne dhaid e kahya karu) ne de denge.. Ib bta wa doodh ki thailly kit te laya wo 2 mint me e. Mere hisab te byaant to aanta nahi wo 2 minute me e bhai??

5. Private companies me ye apni side walo ko favor karte hai bahot jyada. I got exactly the half the appraisal last year what my collegue got by doing same amount of work(same designation). Why?? Er jab TL te poochi to nyu bola ke usne ye kiya wo kiya. mkha karya to mane bhi wo e tha. fer odde tohan laage ke wo pro-active hai, nyu hai , falana hai dhimka hai.. Kitna rolla karu bhai? upar te recession. kite jaan joga bhi koni.. kama ke khana bhi se mane bhai.

aur bahot ghane example se pyare, kitne ginwau tane. tu padhta padhta thak jaga. thats why i said ki South Indians hate North Indians which in turn invoke the hatred in North Indians towards these South Indians.. i've been facing such regional discrimination for almost 3 years now. Aur ye sab mere jaise sabhi north indians ke sath hota hai yaha. I never used to think wrong about anyone, par aade aaye pache ek man to pakka bna liya ke jis din koi DHAID mere apni side me fans gya susre me mar khonsdya lyunga:rock

Baki itne yaade se itne to ya icchha, icchha e rahwegi!

i think racism is a universal phenomana whether be South India or North India, Europe or Africa etc but media hype is more than this racism, Although there in Austrial only some ek duka instance of racism but media made and see incidents from racism angle.

YOUR THIS REPLY IS ALSO, as appears to me, not in good teste, Even if you didnot write for me, donot you feel, it is not correct to use slang or such words on community forum where all kind/different age group/different background people participate, can we use the language with elders/childern which we use with our age group fellows, can we wear same clothjs out side the house or in office or in official function which generally we wear in house, I mean that one should be little careful, mature & disciplined in using words on public forums, rest is your wish. Atlist I feel sorry for advising you, I was not aware that you are at very difficult height for poor advise. Be happy.

i lived in melbourne for 4 yrs n never find that racism thing
every society hav few people who cause the problems
thats same in melbourne
only few racist people and more work done by the media
no country is perfect but australia is far better than other countries
i can say more than 80% people are very good n friendly
tha bashing up in melbourne is not only with indians
its with other people as well
but the media shows up only indian side
from my point of view its all becoz of police n law in australia
police hav less rights than an ordinary person but still they can do a lot but they just doing their duty as usual

Though, you donot deserve even reply but since you need my intro -- yes I am same person who forced karan to realize his mistake. I have done my first masterdegree from kurekshetra in english medium, second frompunjab university, third management post graduation from Delhi uni, LLB from marathwada uni, all in english medium, I started my career as 2lt, the training was in english, I have done eleven long/short courses of Army, all in english, I served in Army for more than 30 years worked in english, I was lucky to handle legal cases upto highest court, all in english, I have served as Registrar of CAT of MP, where work was in english, while in service, I was instructor taught educated people in english, but still I am unable to understand immature, stupied, uneducated, ill mannered & ill behaved people, also, I am not alone, my wife is always with me who is also much more qualified than many of english slaves, my daughter is topper of M com & post graduate degree of mass com & geranalism, worked in Times of India, while working she is about to complete her CA with distinction, my son is also post graduate, I am running my own company where more than two thousand good people are working, I play golf daily, I have good circle of friends, we have good social life, I am member Animal welfare board of India, I am member of Haryana Rajaya Sainik Board, I am president of my gotra khap, I am involved in many social work and many other things keep me busy thus please donot have wrong impression that uncle is alone & has no work, My problem is & had been that I donot tolrate nonsense, le it be karan, you or any body else, but some people are beyond any repaire/correcion for those I really feel sorry

Mr. Karan had put Kharb Ji in his ignore list because of the obnoxius comments about Ruchika by a guy Sukarampal (who has been banned now by the mods for those comments) in his post to that Ruchika related thread and for it Kharb Ji was not responsible. One must respect their elders


...Whole matter could have been ended just by saying
'OK, it will not happen again.'
