RIDDLES -- Dimag ki batti jalao

Sanjeev ji, as per my understanding of the question, my take on the puzzle is:-
To have a currency upto Rs. 100, we can use the denominations of powers of 2, i.e., 2^0 =1
2^1 =2
2^2 =4
2^3 =8
2^4 =16
2^5 =32
2^6 =64

A little elaboration on how these denominations could be used:-

3 -> give 1 + 3
5--> give 4 + 1
6 -> give 4 + 2
7 -> 4 +2 + 1
9 -> 8 + 1
10 -> 8 + 2
11 -> 8 + 2 + 1
12 -> 8 + 4
13 -> 8 + 4 + 1
14 -> 8 + 4 + 2
15 -> 8 + 4 + 2 +1
17 -> 16 + 1
18 -> 16 + 2
19 -> 16 + 2 +1
20 -> 16 + 4
21 -> 16 + 4 + 1
22 -> 16 + 4 + 2
99 -> 64 + 32 + 2 + 1

cool ..... my first guess would have been Fibonacci series (1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55..) , but this power of 2 thing will have less paper cost ......and this is the time of cost cutting...:cool::cool:

Think it.....
A rich man has two son.One day he call his sons with their horse.He told them that I give my whole wealth to the son whose horse lose the race.They start the race.But gradualy become slower and slower.they ask a old man to overcome this problem.Old man said something to them.After that they run very quickly.So what the old man say????

Similar question was posted before in this thread :)... The old man would advise the sons to swap their horses.

A man is at the initiat point O.he takes either left step or right step.Probability for left step is 0.5 and probability for right step is also 0.5. What is the probability that after 13 step, he wll be at the initial point????

Answer for this ques is 0..
Because he will never be at the initial point after a number of odd steps..

Try this one? You are good at math.
There is a 9-digit number containing the numbers 1 to 9. Each number is used once. This 9-digit number is divisible by 9. When you take off the right-most digit, it becomes an 8-digit number that is divisible by 8! When you take off the last digit to create a 7-digit number, the whole number is now divisible by 7. The pattern continues all the way down until the end, when it is a two digit number divisible by two, and then taking off the end digit creates a 1-digit number, divisible by 1.

ur ques is very good...
I try it....and the answer for it is...
381654729
there r very few clue at the starting but as i start it became easy...
if start from laft and give position no. 1 to 9 then 5 will come at no. 5..
sum of 4th and 6th position will be 10....
even digit will be at 2nd,4th,6th and 8th position...
try according to these and find the answer...

Correct tomar, Five will be centre, nine is not a problem here becoz any no made with 1 to 9 will be divisible by nine. excellent
one more , I doubt, it was posted earlier also. but u can try being new here.

A Captain has three smart soldiers under him. The three soldiers are informed that their intelligence is being tested and that the captain has three blue and two red caps. They are made to stand in ascending order of their heights. They are blindfolded and the captain puts a cap, chosen at random, on the heads of the three soldiers. The blindfold is then removed. The captain asks the third soldier what’s the colour of the cap on his head. The third soldier sees the colour of the cap on the heads of the first two soldiers, but he says he is unable to tell the colour of the cap on his head.
The Captain asks the same question to the second solider. The second solider takes into consideration the third soldier's reply and the colour of the cap on the first soldier, which he is able to see. But, he too is unable to tell the colour of the cap on his head.
The Captain then asks the same question to the first soldier. The first soldier has only the replies of the third and second soldiers to draw any conclusion. But he tells the colour of the cap on his head. He gives the right answer.

3d soldier unable to tell the colour.it means 2nd and 1st either both have blue cap or 1 blue and 1 red.....
Now 2nd soldier also unable to tell the colour of cap.it means 1st have a blue cap..
So 1st soldier tell the colour of cap correctly...
he came to this conclusion by the statement of 3rd and 2nd soldier...

No.........Sanjeev ji u r wrong at this time.....
Answer is 7000000.
no. of 5 from 1 to 10= 1
no. of 5 from1 to 100=10*no.0f 5 from 1 to 10 + 10(for 50 to 59)=20
no. of 5 from 1 to 1000=10*20+100(for 500 to 599)=300
similarly ....
no.of 5 from 1 to 10000=10*300+1000=4000
......
......
no. of 5 from 1 to 10000000= 7000000.
general formula is no. of 5 from 1 to 10^n = n*10^n-1
should be 7050301
