I recently attended my younger brother's passing out parade at INA, Ezhimala and I was witness to the presence of many Jats in the officer's academy. Names like Dahiya, Rana, Chillar caught my attention on the leader boards of cadet squadrons.
On the flip side, the presence of Jatts from Punjab is steadily declining. My brother and another, Sangha were the only two. But I guess the Haryanvi Jats are still keeping the Jat flag flying high at our armed forces academies.
Greetings for your brother's graduation!
Sikh Jatts equally dominated Jwan as well as Officer circles where as Haryanavi jats were primarily at jwan level. Now with education and exposure they are starting to show up in officer's cadre as well. Yes there is declining trend in officers but I think Jatt jwans are same or more.
Greetings!
But.........people at officer level are mostly failure(in my opinion)..........Mostly belief in self.......
Desh........kiska hai aaj k din?????

You could be right, but its tough to say for sure. Many of the army officers I know are intelligent people who could have easily made a living doing a regular corporate job if they wished to do so. They chose to join the Armed Forces probably not for their extra love for the country, but the sense of discipline, camaraderie and honor that an officer's job brings.
On a lighter note, many ex-aspirants (now officers) still say that the armed forces don't wan't 'overly intelligent' people (IIT kind bookworms I guess), as at the end of the day an overly intelligent and analytical mind wont be inclined to follow orders blindly as indeed sometimes required!

I think we need to have a new look at this opinion, now a days many Jats are serving officers in Military and Paramilitary forces and barring a few (which is common with all Kaums) all are doing very well, the disturbing trend is that Jats are not in the habit of accepting/receiving orders from feloow Jat officers, hence they sometimes prove to be failure
