i think if the meaning of sex education is about teaching the health and hygiene concept of sex, then its ok to teach.

but if sex education means teaching kamasutra, then it should not b taught to the young people.

Yes, it should be taught but the age level need to be decided so that the learnings take the right direction.

Sex education includes lot many things, but it does not confine to one specific area that what Arvind said about. Take it in the broader sense. If you ever noticed, then parents also teach their kids about sex (now what meaning one is taking about this is all upto one's understading and clarity of thoughts)

Understanding the nature and reactions of opposite sex, respecting them, taking emotions and feelings in meaningful direction, etc. all comes under this area of education.

Even when a child is breast-fed by mother then also he/she learns a little about sex.

This education will teach students not only how to respect opposite sex but will also teach them to take their responsibilities towards other, and when one understands about his/her responsibilty then no chances of mistakes can be felt/suspected.

Healthy thoughts will make the child's character more strong and thus, will automatically lead to healthy relationships in the life ahead.

As for ur this very question, I think there is no need for sex education since today's kids themselves are so intelligent & self learners !! And above all TV/Cable/Internet are best teachers who give gyaan whatever they curious about ...

BTW, what about Yoga Education istead of Sex Education like once Baba Ramdev Suggested ?? .. I strongly believe if Yoga education become compulsory, it will be very benifitial for the kids' overall devlopment i.e. mentally, phyically and spritualy as well ... wot say ?

Physics,chemistry,Biology, Math aur va Naitik Shiksha theek thaak padhya le to bhai aapne aap saari education hogi.......If a teacher is able to describe the biology subject ably then i think education is imparted well.

Rest things like understanding person of opposite sex etc, these require more of moral values, inter personal relations with human beings rather than sex education focusing on opposite sex only, and if some one say that explaining moral values for better understanding between male/females should be named as Sex Education, i dont think justice is done.

If a person has got the right grooming for understanding human values, respecting other's sentiments, emotions, helping attitude then it will be benificial not only for men-women relation but also relations amongst friends, brothers, sisters, parents and offcourse between husband- wife also. So understanding the person of opposite sex is not all about understanding the sexual orientation rather it is more on understanding the human psyche.

You might be observing in your day to day life that brothers killing real brothers, sons disrespecting their father and so many such cases,,,,,,in sabke ke liye kaunsi education honi chaahiye.

Most of the broken marriages are result of ego clashes, greeds etc among the husband and wife or with in close relatives of spouses.

bilkull sahi kaha sachin bhai.
is sex education ke peechhe pade ho, isse badhiya to hai ki bachhe wo subject padhe jo unke syllabus me hain.
Agar un subject ko hi dhyaan se padh le to achhe numbero se paas ho jayenge .
Bachho ko Sex education dene ki koi jaldi nahi hai, unhe time aane par sab education mil jaati hai. abhi unhe wo padhne do jo unke syllabus me hai.

Education of any kind spreads awareness. Education word itself is used for positive things but the question is can it be implement in true sense? Mostly, ppl take it wrongly. Waise there is nothing much to teach in this. Classes for a week are enough taken by some spl cell like a seminar. Aport from that everyone shud be aware of internals of human body that how our body works and the important mechanisms. I guess still most of us are not much familiar with our own body. Sex education will just be a part of that.

bhai moral value toh bahut jaroori hai hi usko mana kisn kiya hai. Yaha kissi ne ye nahi kaha ki moral value ki jagah sex education. Hum jaton ki ye hi problem hai ki apni baat se upar kissi aur ki ho hi nehi sakti chahe kyu na usse 100 baar repeat karna pade.
