amit if you have read my other threads and post, you will realise that i myself don't indulge in you-bark-i-bark-back kinda stuff. but i admit that i have been rude towards this girl shweta ineppropriately, reason being, i have a robust malice towards hypocrites. she played a dirty game with few people some time back, and then if she talks of society, emotions, respect...i just can't stand that...there should be some harmony between deeds and thoughts...she shall learn her chapter and moreover if she respects me calling "seema ji", she shall not mind it at all...

rest you know, won't be fair to talk here...i stand my misdemeanor

I knew that people can go so down and indulge into any kind of absurd mockeries, but this shallowness is sick and cheap ! I played some games then let me know them and the people with whom I played ! Let me also know what I have done because you have crossed all limits of jeaolousy and God knows why ! I have no clue, just tell me what u mean by this precisely !

see dahling how kiddie you are...you should choose words with bit care...stop thinking of youself in such role-model stature...

and now i don't want any mud slinging here...

badhiya dost ... sahi jagah par sahi post

every now and then i come across NGOs, govt, feminists and other civil bodies creating ruckus over sex determination tests...came across another bullshit article in mail today where some NGO wants a website selling sex identification kits to be blocked...

i am of opinion is that this is a stupid fashion...i have been against ban on sex determination since beginning. my point is it has more negative aspects than positive. first, they can stop the people aborting a female child; but can't coercion them to treat a girl at par with boy, so it's of no help...infact a bigger crime...it's better to kill one in womb than kill her everyday while alive.

secondly, it leads to population explosion, which is my biggest concern, people will keep having kids till they get boy. worst.

thirdly, say, i have a boy and now i wish to have a girl to make a complete family or have a girl and now wish to have a boy...not because i love boy but becuase i want a complete family to enjoy both the sexes...where's my freedom to fulfill by wish...

i hate bloody NGOs...i tell you they are all for wrong causes...

Seema you started a good thread on a very important topic and must say presented your views pretty well. However one of the reasons this thread went from being a healthy discussion to a personal conflict of sorts is the way you chose to respond to other's post. Calling other posters point of view 'socio-economic' crap and just dismissing everyone that differs from your point of view is not going to generate healthy discussion. I think if you choose to respectfully disagree with other's post rather than using abrasive language it might serve you better. After all the whole point is to discuss topics and absorb other's views rather than be hard headed and refuse to consider alternative views.

I really admire that there are still some nuetral people left who would rather concentrate on discussions than "enjoying" their so-called fun ! :)

Let me start my actual post with again an reiteration that i am up to prevent the sactity of discussion and it is very important to keep the spirit good else there is hardly any need to discuss !

As one thing gets clear that there were some personal reasons behind some of the mud-slinging , i dont wish to delve into that matter , none of my busniness and concerns.

I just wish to ask Seema Ji , and people who wish to consider the existance of discussion , a few questions :

( Randomly written as they come to my mind , not associated with any priorities ) !

1. When i asked something in a very constructive approach , Seema ji chose not to comment on that but on my "hardtyped" signatures and my " kidult " psychology. Was it really required ?

2. Being deliberately rude to someone for personal reasons on an social platform is not the way to go ! Or is it ?
( what about the other audience who comes for the sake of some healthy discussion ? )

3. As Amit Sir poiinted out , discussion should be to listen and try and understand , investigate the difference , constuctively try to bridge the differences , or to have constructive differences of opinion.
But in this thread , i no where find any of that element.

If i look closely at the very first post , and i would request all to do the same ,

it is like :

fact ( quote of some text) ....opinion ..... point ......opinion .... reason......

( and punctuated by bullshit ( the referred article ) , is stupid ( the different view ), bloody ( NGOs ) )

And the situation got worse when :

*** to hell with society...first leran to think of individual freedom and well being...then society...

*** why don't people understand that nothing like society exists...if you believe, it's there, else it's not...

*** one grave problem with bloody ignorant indians is that they don't wish to exist as individuals...leran to worship your individuality and your prerogatives...and we will be a properous country

Again a bang bang bang opinion and the conclusion !

It is not hard to conclude that neither the author has thought enough on the topic , nor is she willing to listen any other thing than what she believes. Moreover , she is not at all in a situation where she has enough time to gather what she has in her mind.
( I know people have different styles of writing and organising skills but the above conclusions are obvious on a little examination ).

Here i am left with only one question : If you dont want a discussion , if you dont wish to listen to others , if you dont have time enough for the issue ! Why bother about it ?
Just dont write !!!

Its like robbing people of their time and energy ! :) As suggested by the author , be an individualist , hell the society , stop discussing when you really dont want to !
:)

I apologise to Seema ji and all for being sarcastic in my very post, but the intentions were noble , i was upset about the fact that sensitive issues are put to the floor with no sense of responsibility and no regard for the discussion , thus degrading the very sanctity of such an platform.

Regards,
Anil

well that nit picking comment and kidult call was for you pointing so some typos

and as far as the solution to this concerns, i think, is lift the ban on sex determining test...it should be people's own prerogative and no 3rd party's decision

as far as my crude remarks on shweta 'ji' were concerned...there was nothing personal, i really found them stupid as much as the govt and NGOs fight for wrong cause...

now i admit that i really don't have more time to discuss this further...as most of the posts were banal...and same against which i wrote this...

and people who think on these lines have a problem for every solution as one can make out from reading...

all are going back to square one--ban on sex determination--

so what else is left for me to discuss...

Well, especially when it's women who perpetrate it!

...I found it interesting that among some of the examples given the most prominent and telling ones were where it's the 'Saas' themselves ('Saas' of the Saas-bahu kinds, not the 'saas' that Ajit of 'loin' fame ;) used to ask his henchmen "Robbart, mughe Maggi ka 'saas' chaiyeh!")

I mean the fact that it's none other than the women, the mother-in-laws of the world themselves mentioned foremost as the ones putting the actual initial peer 'pressure' on the 'Bahu' (another woman)... What does that say about the whole issue, I ask ya!!?!!

Hopefully, in that context maybe the discussion can be seen also in a slightly alternative and different light... ;)

ps. ...and oh, If for any reason there is something that was not agreeable in there; please, please... oh please don't throw the book at me, Seema!!! Mein bada ruk-ruk kae, darr-darr kae es thread pae aaya hun, Mausiji! :D;):D [Heh! Heh! Just kidding there!... :)]

Yup , one of the very valid points !!! I have examples of both the extremes personally in my house , my "taai" on one hand is so biased towards only having boys ( pote ) , while my mom is absolutely neutral towards it , perhaps a lil biased towards the girls ( poti ) !!

PS : this fact should not be used to prove anything regarding me ... ( the arguments like meri maa mujhse itna frustaa chuki hai isliye .... :o:D )

to kaaliya , sambhaa , gabbar are rquested to move ahead with the discussion agar pair kat chuke hon to !!!:D
