I agree with you that there is need to bring a complete article on Gramothan Vidyapeeth. I will try to gather information about this ace institute working towards the society (especially for Jats).
 
pet dogs n pet elephants was the nature of jats. in old days when no science or little science was there jat started patronisiong animals. n siva was named as pasupati. this was the first jat who invaded india. greeks call him hercules. all those symbles of lord siva were earlier known to greeks. wanderers, the natural planets..were known to greeks... then why allexander visited India is a question to ponder upon...

allexander nne koi aur dharti koni mili jittan khattar...why India only?

why after that or b4 that cyrus came to india? this punjab formed his 21st satrapi. the richest land in cyrus empire...

Dr. Yoganand Shastri

Dr. Yoganand Shastri

i am pleased to add a page on academician turned politician, dr. yoganand shastri.

dr. yoganand shastri till a few years back was reader at shaheed bhagat singh college where he taught ancient indian history, culture and archaeology. dr. shastri has served as a minister for development, food and civil supplies and as minister for health & social welfare, in various terms with govt. of delhi. he was unanimously elected and is now serving as a speaker to 4th delhi legislative assembly under CM ship of shiela dixit.

i got the pleasure of meeting dr. shastri personally several times along with my father. he indeed is a down to earth and very humble person, who believes in simple living and strives for the enhancement of indian cultural heritage and values.

a bit surprised not to see his name on JL wiki. :confused: dr. shastri hails from bhadaani village in jhajjar district. i am not sure of his gotra, as such would appreciate if someone can add that to his page... at the same time i request burdak ji to have a re-look at dr. yoganand shastri page, and to make according changes, if necessary.

What i feel is please mention Name of Chowdhary Shamsher Singh Sorout ( Freedom Fighter) and his Son Chowdhary Rajender Singh Sorout (best friend of Sardaar Vallab Bhai Patel G & a very well known person from Hodel) instead of Sh. Harsh Kumar Sorout..as H.K.Sorout is Grand son of Chowdhary Shamsher Singh Sorout.

Brahm, Yoganand Shastri has also written biography of Swami Omanand with whom he spent many years of his youthhood. I have digitilised this biography which can be read on following page of Jatland wiki -

dr. shastri is a strong contender frm south delhi MP seat (2009 elections). after jagdish tytler fiasco, sajjan kr too seems to be out of contention. here again, we have a typical case of jat vs jat fight going on, as sajjan kumar is against dr. sastri and wants his own candidate to be nominated. his stand is clear, if he is not to be given the ticket it cannot be given to dr. shastri either. he is also pushing the line that his 'sacrifice' for the larger interest of the party should be kept in mind before taking the final decision on s.delhi and ideally somebody from among his own supporters should be fielded. the much awaited decision would be taken today.

all i pray is that good sense must prevail. dr. shastri can turn out to be a very good jat representative from outer delhi area.

in fact in the previous delhi legislative elections, dr. shastri was almost sidelined frm malviya nagar seat, which was allocated to kiran walia - a close associate of shiela dixit. being new to mehrauli, dr. shastri still managed to win the elections, though by a meagre margin of 2000 votes. thanks to the well educated gentry of vasant kunj, who ensured that a qualified and well educated candidate sees his way through to the delhi legislative assembly.

ie Harveer Singh Gulia .He was born in 1376.He is great becauese he was the main reason behind the death of Timur. He was just 22 years old when he died fighting against the strong army of Timur
