Title should have read as "Search for the right one"

Thanks for the response so far ladies and gentlemen ...

Have realised that even guys are in a dilema when selecting their partners so would request inputs on that front as well ..

on a lighter note .....apparently my grandfather was keen to see his wife before getting married ...so he tried many times hiding behind trees, scouting around her house ..hoping to catch a glimpse of her ...but no luck ...

when finally the d day arrived ....her ghagra slipped just enough for her feet to be exposed ...well that was it for him ....my father claimed that grandpa was smitten ....inspite of the hard laborious work done by his bride ...she had the most beautiful and soft feet ..obviously he must have felt that if a girl had beautiful feet ..she would be beautiful too....(guess he was not dissapointed ..) that was that generation ...where only the sight of feet was enough..;)

nowadays ...it is a different ball game alltogether..

Right Partner

well i would like to give a new dimension to this thread by sort of re naming the thread from Mr. right ..... RIGHT / PERFECT PArtner

as according to me the basics principals of a relationship do not change might as well it is for a man or a lady ... both need to have tolerence and yess if there is trust and commitment level at its best nothing like it..

a very worth point on the same issue is that if at the START POINT of a particular relationship the TRUTH and TRUST factor is given priority from both ends it is going to last lifetime ...

rest destiny is the mother of all thoughts and fates .. my take HEAD TAIL KARO DIMAAG ARR TAMMME BACHAO :eek::rolleyes::p

The most common characteristics people want in their partners include honesty, intelligence, sense of humor, openness to new ideas, stability, communication, common hobbies and interests, and willingness to work on the relationship to make it succeed.

Though men and women might seek similar traits in a partner, research has demonstrated that each individual focuses on different qualities. Men typically want a relationship that allows autonomy, while women look for a sense of connection.

I always say
1. 'it is not the rightness or wrongness of a decision but the sincerity with which a decision is made that is important'
2. 'Jyada sochne se koi bhi iraada kamzor ho jaata hai'

if you have little acceptance, you cant survive with any other human. These days people hurry out of relationships/friendships, which shows the acceptance/tolerance/understanding is pretty low.

will greatly appreciate serious inputs...

Very rarely people show their true colours ....they either over estimate themselves ...or hide their inner feelings

watched munna bhai part 1 last week and loved the part where he advises the girl who is going on a blind date in a restaurant ...to observe how the guy treats and behaves with people less fortunate that him ..if he is kind then obviously he is Mr.Right ...if he is obnoxious ...well dump him ...

on the same lines ...my aussie friend mum ...advised me if the man is kind to his mother he is Mr.Right .. but if he lives with his mum ...run away as far away as you can!!!

well in the indian context ...can't really take the second advise..!!

so ...will request any such subtle insights that the members have used as pointers in the selection of their partners ....

Nimriti....Before you go on this search become Miss right yourself (and I'm not suggesting you aren't) as like attracts like. :)
Mr Right will surely appear.

And dont take romance shown in Bollywood films too seriously.

All the best.

there r not any rules to follow aur education to know how to recognize ur mr right.believe me u will know it the moment u meet that person.he does not have to be like u.opposites attract more.ur instinct will tell u .and if u r in dilemma then definately that person is not the mr right for u.

Mr. Right (wright or watever) has left India after finishing his contract with Indian cricket control board.
He is still alive u can search him !

HMMM.... filmi laagai sai ji yu thora thora

He must respect other girls/ladies and as Naveen said if you feel comfortable means if you are your real self and dont have to think TWICE in doing anything then you got a RIGHT MAN and he should be protective....here i mean not IMPOSING :) and who doesn't differentiate between yours n his RESPECT/ DIGNITY. Who speaks as well as LISTENS to you or if he understands your WSHES without telling....NOTHING LIKE IT ;)

Respect other gals (matlab or kisai kaani na dekhai ... :p)
Protective matlab Dhisum dhisum
Speaks as well as listens ka ke matlab dono kaam ek saath kis trah ho sakai sain .....

Jokes apart .... Agreed with you as well as with Seema Sindhu's As time and circumstannces matter .. it really matters ...So might be in the future the things may get wrong which were right initially

Mr Right ? But what is this "Right"?

According to me the very concept of Mr. Right is jst another fad bcoz most of the lives v spend dreaming v need to do this with life .....do that with life.Similarly we also spent our good part of youth dreaming that we want to spent our life with the man/woman with so and so qualities. Even if we succeed in finding such man or woman to spend our lives at the end of those days we find that our very concept of Mr Right or to say Right itself has changed. So in my opinion there is nothing as Mr. Right rather i would vouch for the point try to accept others for what they are for rather than trying to find out what they are not...:)

What's the fun in life if everything/everyone is right n perfect?

Get whatever u are getting and make it right and perfect... wouldn't life be more interesting and worth living then ...

Doesn't our elders come from the same school of thought where they believe in getting a guy/girl of equal status, qualification to arrange marriages and ignore their personality traits, compatibility factors etc? And surprisingly arranged marriages are said to be more successful than love marriages .. . . .

P.S. -
Arranged marriage - where 2 people try to make each other Mr./Ms. Right
Love Marriage - Where people assumingly marry Mr. or Ms. Right

Any person's true character can also be judged by his body language, his attitude, mannerism & a lots more which comprise a whole set of personality! So, if one can read these things then he will surely get some signs as to the true colour of the person, unless the person is just an expert at covering !!

maka Shweta ji aur kimai reh gaya ho to woh bhi likh do:eek:

body language , attitude , mannerism and lots more ar fer bhi nyun keh rahe ki cahracter judge kar rahe ! fer reh bhi key gaya !:D
approximation ki jaroorat na sai itna guess kar liya to exact fit hi ho gaya :p

Navin bhai survival ki baat na ho rahi !:confused: byaah ki ho rahi !!:D

aapka to ho gaya aur aap khushi ji ke saath khush hain ar ibb isi genral statements de ke behkaan laag rahe humein :o
karwaaoge kaam mhaara , laag rahya mujhe :p:D

On a serious note , i guess Navin bhai statements shows a lot more generalization that he meant ( my guess ) !

Even i have always believed that there is nothing like a "THE" match !
there are lots of persons with whom u can match very aptly :)

Kya baat hai mansiha ji :p:D dhoomma saa thaa diya !!!:D

But manisha dont you believe one cannot accep anyone ??
There has to be some least traits a man should possess for you to really accept her !
So the concept of MR. Right is not that vague so to say as you have really shown by your post !:) Might be it is your individualistic perception , but on a general sense , yes one need to make clear cut mind on what kind of a person he/she wants to spend his/her life with !:)

My personal opinion on this is that it is very importnat to know yourself well before really thinking about a mr. or miss right !
If u r a genius in mind , then on a complementary sense one must go for a emotional person as a match !
There are lots of things like ego issues , comfortability and complimentariness to look at !

I am surely not suggesting that one must go for a total complimentary match because one must also look at that when u two sit together and talk , there cannot be a huge difference of mental level and ability ! :) Ideas must synchronise !
And of course Seema ji hit it right that it is also situation based ! :) With time people change , their philosophies change so one has to be having adaptive skills and qualities !

I personally would go for some having common sense :D , someone who is charming ( to me charming and beautiful are different !) , caring , loving , a lil exuberant , one who knows hows to laugh , one who knows how to love and get loved ( a very important quality ) and one who respect a lil traditionilism
and culture ! A soft one at heart !

I am ready to pamper her a lot :D I just love doing that !:)

Ofcourse everyone lives with certain perceptions but over ambitions and over perceptions kill the relationship. Without perception no one can live but the over perception or over ambition of Mr. Right or Miss right is not my type thats wat i said....:)
