Genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, and a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life. True friendship involves action: doing something for someone else while expecting nothing in return -- But we r selfish - we usually dont do things while expecting nothing.

Yes we are selfish we just expect everything from friends and are not ready to sacrifice anything.

Real friends encourage one and forgive one another where there has been an offense - but we usually blames each other directly or indirectly.
Many people say, "Oh, he's a good friend of mine," yet they never take time to spend time with that "good friend". Friendship takes time: time to get to know each other, time to invest in each other's growth - but we dont have time - many reason - office, workload, ect.

When we end any friendship we just blame others for that and don't even try to see our faults.

When people says - they dont have true friends - is that means u r good enough but ur friend is not? Whenever we say something about a true friend- we usually say he mustdo this, he must be like that? But what we r expecting from him, r we giving that to him also?

I hate this mentality that a person thinks he/she is good enough and his/her friend are not good. Who is there to evaluate that who is wrong ???

Its a 2 way relationship - give n get .... first give then get. First be there for him whenever he needs u then expect him to be there for u.
Every relationship needs some efforts... just take some time out for ur friends...thay r the real jewels to keep....

Yes, try to give them something and then expect something from them. But people just don't want to give up anything but wants everything from friends. This attitude doesn't work and they just say they don't have true friend. IRONICAL. Isn't it ???

friend or accquiantance

took me alot of time to fathom when my 'friend' intro duced me to somebody( who mattered to him) as an accquaintance.. didnt knew the meaning of the word then but could sense that it never implied as the friend. so, it implied people have friends & accquaintances: only it matters where one fits in the pic.and thanks to the incident since 1985 i have known the difference and my friends have not let each other down; provided when one feels left out he assesses the incident from other's point of view , gives benefit of doubt and r trogether again with same spirit. difficult? yeah . but thats why we r few but one.like jesus said " expect not & u would not be frustrated"

rishte banana ,nibhana aur baat hai par rishte ko itne khoobsoorte se bayan karna ..it means how much it matters to u.
hope the relationship continues the way it is for ever and ever.

If any one can have a true friend of above discription.....he/she will have more than his/her share of friends on this planet and such a person himself will be a Gem...Only selfless people meat each other like this...and hence it has to be a rarest of the rare thing.Yes they do exist for sure but not in isolation...it is a game of competability all the way.....If true friend is there, it is never single.....It has to be a duo[just alike]

I always believe in relationships whatever they are and try to mainthain them being truthful and honest and expect the same from other person too.
