Walking with Comrades

Enough is enough !

i've been following this thread right from the beginning with my neutral stance. this problem has now become cancerous (guess it was, for quite some time) that is increasing exponentially with new harmful mutations.

i am of very firm opinion now... that it should be exterminated with iron fist. if you don't do that today, you'll have to do it tomorrow... in fact, there is no other way out.

the govt must announce a free hand to the security persons to find, flush out and annihilate the cowardly terrorists who have become a bigger threat to the nation than the pak-supported jihadis. also exterminate the naxalites in delhi who are causing hindrance in whatsoever possible ways. moreover, all
these "jholawala" supporters of the Naxalites should also be booked for instigating murders and sedition.

all these naxalites are bloody communists, who swear by mao, lenin nd stalin. as rightly said earlier... their loyalties are either across the borders or extraterritorial. all of them have smeared their hands in the blood of innocent people right from from lenin, stalin nd mao to pol pot, who all happen to be their inspiration. if given their way they'll take india to stone age within a decade.

lets not
romanticize these butchers and win dollar awards alike arunadhiti. in fact, she too must be charged with sedition and supporting mass annihilators... enough is enough !!!

red is the color of blood.

this movement is now no more than a quest for money nd shadow political power,
emblematic of the tendency among some of the indian intellectual class toward left-wing utopianism... kick-out these communists in which ever form they exist... even seize west bengal from them. also kick all these "jhola-wallas" hard on their butts nd all those who are sympathizing/romanticizing them.

गेहूँ के साथ घुन हमेशा से ही पिस्ता आया है... so be it. though i still pity those poor tribals. but, i guess they too will be better off in the long run. all our holistic approaches to the problem have turned out to be recipes for disaster. at long last, we have a home minister with a steel resolve to solve the problem of naxalism once and for all. let us back him to get rid of the scourge which is eating into the vitals of the state.

सोनिया गांधी, सरदार, लुंगीवाला और सभी कांग्रेसी अहिंसावादी हैं, इन्हें पिटने में मजा आता है. इनसे कुछ उम्मीद करना बेकार ही है.

I am wondering where are Maoists supporters now! Probably celebrating the Murder of 100s of people.

Arvind and Vipin, Can you justify this act as class struggle?

Haha, U always drag me back whatever i had to say i had already said. Didnt i tell u earlier one day that killing innocents can never be justified be it from the state or be it from Naxalis.

Also I am not a Maoist supporter. By Maoist supporter what do u mean??. I told u already 100 times already. Please read my earlier post again on that thing. I support what i think is right. I have seen people's opinion change after one incident but mine is still the same.

The blame game over the Gyaneshwari Express tragedy continued on Sunday - indeed, sank to a new low - with Trinamool Congress MP from Serampore Kalyan Banerjee describing director general of police Bhupinder Singh as a "fool".

Banerjee insulted the state's top cop on a TV channel following Singh's statement that some Maoist squads had a hand in the carnage. When TOI contacted him, the MP said: "What the DGP has said is premature and foolish. How can he say so without proper inquiry?"

The DGP had on Friday held the Maoists responsible for the derailment after a recce of the site. Asked how the Maoists removed the pandrol clips over such a wide stretch in such a short time, the DGP said: "It's extremely easy to attach and remove these clips. They are called 'jilipi' in Maoist jargon. We have strong inputs that Maoists used this jargon during operation."

The state police has also ruled out the possibility of a bomb blast on the tracks that Mamata has been insisting on.

Later in the evening, Left Front chairman Biman Bose issued a press release claiming the Maoists had a hand in the butchery. Other CPM leaders questioned Mamata's "silence" on the Maoists and held that she was hand-in-glove with the red rebels. The debate gathered steam after the railway minister, while briefing the media a day before the civic polls, hinted at a "political conspiracy" by those who hoped to gain from such a tragedy. She meant the ruling CPM.

Taking the cue, some pro-change intellectuals close to the Trinamool chief, such as former bureaucrat Debabrata Bandyopadhyay, argued on similar lines and held that the CPM was behind the conspiracy.

"If Maoists are friends with Trinamool, why should they do something on the eve of the civic polls, knowing that this would embarrass the railway minister? Instead, it could be the other way round," Bandyopadhyay said.
"In typical Maoist style, the rebels may execute the men responsible for the derailment, branding them class enemies or traitors," said a police officer, pointing out several recent murders where PCPA men were killed by Maoists.

Maoist state committee member Akash issued a second press statement on the sabotage on Sunday, saying that they "never target the common people". "The government can resume train services on the section at night. No harm will be done from our side," he said.
Mate earlier one day u called me Moasist. Wait for the probe it could be done by anyone. Even if its done by some Moasist my stand is still the same unless exploitation by the state and upper class stop nothing much would change as temporarily they might control the violence(by Naxalis) but it would come back again in one form or other

Its said earlier in one post that Govt doesnt want to touch the net of corruption?

In the midst of the debate in Congress over the right approach to deal with Naxalism, party president Sonia Gandhi has issued the final word. "While we must address acts of terror decisively, we have to address the root causes of Naxalism. The rise of Naxalism is a reflection of the need for our development initiatives to reach the grassroots, especially in our backward tribal districts," Sonia Gandhi said in the latest issue of party journal Congress Sandesh.

The Congress president's remarks would perhaps put an end to the debate within the party on how to handle the Naxal problem.
No one say anything when violence is done by state or its agencies or groups like Salva Jathum. I think I told you one day that naxalism isnt the root cause its a symptom and u replied quack or something.

Please dont ask these irrelevant questions ( I asked u earlier as well).

Does every death in custody leads to the denouncement of state and justice?

Does every fake encounter leads to labeling the Police force as "Terrorists"?

Does a wrong medal (based on manipulated facts) in defense force means that gallantry 'medals' are unworthy?

Isn't the Maoists/Naxals labelling the result of same prejudice which was used to label the whole Jat community after the ‘Mirchpur' incident?

I do not understand what makes people to hurry for denouncing the whole mass-movement based on a single incident, that too when half of the facts are still not out.

Walking with Comrades Naxals and Maoists

Walking With The Comrades: Gandhians with a Gun? Arundhati Roy plunges into the sea of Gondi people to find some answers...Arundhati Roy- click here to read the essay

This what I wrote to OUTLOOK after reading the article "WALKING WITH THE COMRADES"
Brig Lakshman Singh (Retd)

Arundhati Roy, the master story teller has in the mega article(OUTLOOK March 29 2010) made me walk along with her for miles and miles, took me where she went and made me see what she saw with her eyes and made me feel what she felt to some extent and also made me read the hard core of her article, the history of the Naxal/ Mao movement which I would have skipped had I not walked with her or seen with her eyes, which , possibly is the major success of her odyssey.
Arundhati has moved with the foot soldiers of the movement, meandering around the Jungle trails of Danatewada getting and imbibing the feel of their motivation, what drives them, their small joys and pains, worries, fears and aspirations.
The foot soldiers, totally and blissfully unaware of the setup of the higher echelons organising, planning, directing the movement of this magnitude and their motivating force, are content to carry out the bidding's; moving single file night in and night out, not even aware of the final destination and what awaits them at the next bound.
It is amazing how they are living, surviving, fighting, and also dieing totally unmindful of personal issues, emotional problems, privation, sickness and the fear of uncertain destiny awaiting them.
Though myself having been a foot soldier once, with no voice of my own in the on going affairs, obeying orders, emanating from somewhere higher up, like a robot. I am still not convinced about the method adopted by them and more so by those directing them from a safe distance, to achieve their political or otherwise goals, whatever they may be and whatever be the provocation. bls31

any sympathy for state sponsored n anti-state sponsored terrorism is unforgivable. since last centuary tirbles are being befooled by both naxalites n govt. but union govt. is more responsible than naxalites. its a frankstein monster leading to d deaths f earning men of various families be it sodliers or tribles.

I think we talked in length about the problem.. Lets see if this problem can be resolved... I can't foresee any peaceful resolution to this naxalite menace.

Not sure if it's going to end in Punjab's or way or it's going to continue like Kashmir..

It looks like going in Punjab way because Naxals have short orgasm of enligthenment and support. Union Govt. is more busy with IPL controversies.

I am sure if it'll unfold in punjab way, there will be more bloodshed. However, it may bring permanent peace for affected states.

ib tahi walk ae karan laag rhe so commeradaaa galya...itna lamba thread ho rha sai...ib tahi tai running shuru ho jani chayie thi

This is what Arundhati Roy has been up to in the meantime;
She has backed the Maoists, while daring the authorities to arrest her...

Also saying that, "It ought to be an armed movement. Gandhian way of opposition needs an audience, which is absent here. People have debated long before choosing this form of struggle," Arundhati Roy, who had saluted the "people of Dantewada" after 76 CRPF and police personnel were mowed down by Moists in the deadliest attack targeting security forces, said, "I am on this side of the line. I do not care...pick me up put me in jail," she asserted.

Attached here also is a recent picture of her's...where apparently one can quite clearly see her supporting a 'different' cause, as the background plackcard well indicates!

You know, I seriously fail to understand how comes these anti-nationals are running free outside jails to spread hatered and violence in the name of 'freedom of speech'!

agree that there is a big problem and naxals have some genuine issues to fight for. but only some issue and for that both govt and corporates are jointly working now.

but one must understand that govt and corporates have their won problem. we are a land scarce country. naxala want power but are not ready to give land to set up power plant.

agree there has been problem on rehabilitation side. but not of the extent some powerful writers manipulate with their pen. corporates have have been reserving some jobs for the locals. naxals must understand once companies come, there would be other avenues of employment than jobs withing the company. industry bodies have committed themselves to ser up skill developmenmt centres, but if hey dont let them enter, how can one do this?

naxals are not fighting for rights or livelihood, they are fighting for power. if they were fighting for livelihood, they would have become party to the inclusive growth efforts of the govt and now corporates joining in (for whatever reasons though) on some terms and conditions.

the same people who didnt allow tata to run nano plant in nandigram will allow mamata to set up a wagob manufacturing factory there. will that give more jobs to them? no. whose loss is it? certainly not mamta or roy's.

mukesh aquired land in jhajjhar, arent people prosperous there? wouldnt they get jobs in taht SEZ which anyways has been promised by ambani.

naxals want development without giving land.

it's no more a socio-economic problem. in west bengal specially it's a political problem.

Now Ms. Roy cries foul on Media !!
Have a look at this 'interesting' article in Pakistani news paper.

http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/world/14-operation-green-hunts-urban-avatar-zj-05

Article seems to be a bit incoherent ranting to me.
Is she questioning the apex court in Mohammed Afzal's case!?
I mean, he was convicted and found guilty (enough evidences against him) but Ms Roy portray as if the it was media trial in some kangaroo court !!

Sunil , In India only Arundhati Roy and Barkha Dutt are truth speakers and percieve themselves as higest institution of truth.

Only Uncyclopedia knows this fact :- http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Barkha_Dutt

Earlier, Arundhati has been justifying overthrow of Indian State by the Naxals. Now she has thrown another bombshell by challenging Apex Court's verdict indicting Afzal for attacking India's sovereignty which amounts to treason and hence unpardonable. Arundhati should think twice before giving such irresponsible utterances. Enough is enough and the government must tame this tigress now.

Arundhati Roy, Barkha Dutt, Ram Jethamalani .... and so on.

You start counting but still will miss another few. The strategy to become a celebrity is quite simple and straight forward. Take the controversial side of any hot controversial issue and you would be the talk of the town.

बदनाम हुए तो क्या नाम न होगा

Exactly Vijay. This is Arundhati's another best-selling ploy. I am sure sooner or later she will be remorseful for her faux pas. I wish she visit JL and read remarks about her under this thread.

It's quite ironical to see such comments targeting people who have dared to speak against the powerful in the interest of social justice. Efforts by these people are really appreciable even if they had an angle of personal benefit (getting media attention etc).

These efforts have been fruitful, at least in the Naxals issue. Our beloved HM has been denied the use of military to murder the tribal people and there is pressure on the government to close the illegal mines. I have seen some media reports (not sure how far they are true) that the Orissa government has found that a whopping 60% of the mines are illegal.

I give the main credit of all these improvements to Arundhati Roy the Outlook magazine and some still sensible people in the government.
