What is the origin of Jat Language.

Vinod

After reading your reply I could feel that you are trying to be honest to the thinking process going in your mind which is still indicisive on many issue as antiqity of vedas jats sanskrit and parakrit Indus people and their language. In short you have not made up your mind than how can I discuss and argue on a particular point.

As I put my view that Indus area was inhabited by jats speaking parakrit language when vedics who were not jats came to Indus areas.Hence I feel that Sanskrit is a foreign language to this land and parakrit is native to indus areas.

Now when you say that Sanskrit is older and parakrit is derived from that than you mean that there was no arrival of vedic sanskrit people.
But here you believe to the contrary that they did arrive from outside In a way you deny your own statement.

Hence if you can present your model regarding your views than we can have a discussion that things might have shaped this way or that way.

But you can avoid definitive statements where you are not sure.

What is your base Narender to presume that Vedas was made in Europe. Is no proove for that. The most likely place for Vedas is either Afganistan, either west India.
Is no mention of reincarnation in Vedas. The after life mentioned in Vedas is most similar whit Avesta after life or egiptian after life.
I didnt find reincarnation concept at middle indo-europeans(hittite,iranians,greeks,romans,scythians) only at extreme indo-europeans(gangetic indians, celts, thracians, germans).
The neighbour of middle IE also didnt have the concept of reincarnation(,like sumerians, egiptians, levant etc.)
we can presume that reincarnation was a pre-IE belive, if not the reincarnation concept was spread later. For exemple are mention of greek writers that celts and germans take the reincarnation concept from thracian orphic and zalmoxian religions.

the reconstitution of proto-IE language show a more simple language whit a much simple grammar.
If this official theory is true ,then the develop of sanskrit grammar to near perfection is a later evolution.
Is no proof that sanskrite is the mother of IE languages.
Sanskrit was more likely to be spoken in west India then in east India. The bengali language is more distant to sanskrit then hindi or punjabi.
So what is your base afirming that jats speaking prakrit and not sanskrit?

Hi Soko

I do believe that vedas were complied somewhere near turkmanesitan afghanistan or ujbekistan but the people who had vedic culture did came from europian lands.

The reason for believing so is due to the ancient form of sanskrit in Hitti mitani records hinting that earlier vedics lived in those lands.

Again we see arrival of vedic religion and avestan texts to India and Iran from outside and we find there recorded presence in russian steppes as I told you in Arkaim thousand years earlier than their appearance in northwest India.

Out of two groups I feel sythian you clubbed in wrong group how ever I do fear your knowledge of world civilizations and trying to understand this concept of reincarnation.

Please keep contributing.Your inputs are very valuable.

Narender, is it yours? found in Indiaforum... looks like your;-))))

How is "caste and tribes of northwest India" by Rose?... have you read it?

As per "stand"... its not deabte of opinions that we have take a stand... we all come across facts and we try to make sense out of them... no one can claim to be more true than others but can only provide proofs... I have made my position as clear as I could... you haven't replied what do yo think of Talageri's book and Dr K presentation?

"True

Jats are the original inhabitants of this land and their presence in other countries is due to their west ward migration that might have happened long long ago.

Reason being If we see right from Indus valley civilization we find no reason to believe the influx of such a huge population that become almost single major group of north west India.

There is no breakage line observed in craniometric analysis during the supposed influx of these supposedly shakas.

The material culture of indus valley is just the culture of even modern day jats of nortwest.

The skeltel analysis shows that these indus valley people were just similar to present day people a majority of which is again jats.

The shell ornaments bullock carts and animals as water buffalow are the same and are assosiated with jats mainly.

It seems most probable that the indus script changed to telgu and kannar towards south and they (jats) spoke parakrit language with a definite dravidian base.

Again I would like to know how one get the idea that saka were related to jats .The term sythian was used in the same sence as maratha or punjabi and denoted many groups of course jats too were termed sythian by greeks as evident from the use of this term for jats of indus area in Periplus of E sea as well as jats or jatae of jaxartes area by Herodotus.

If we see the recent genetic findings under Polarity and temporality of Y-chrmosomal distribution identifying both endogenous and exogenous .E..

Than it clearly disapproves Austro asiatic theory of michael witzel for people of indus valey civilization.

It disapproves dravidian theory of Asko Parpola and Mahadevan by placing their origin in deep paninsula.

Than who others could be the inhabitants of this civilization except north Indians living today and groups as jats bania and other casts excuding certain groups as gujjar huns meds and other with a clear record of arrival from outside India.

With various genetic studies giving vedic groups a pamir origin and conferming IE genes although very small, who could be the inhabitants of Indus Civilization except jats and other north indian groups as bania sc bc and others.

Now another important point why jats seek their ancestory in sythian or sakas.

This is due to a basic fault in accessing Indian history via some foreign historians as cunnigham todd and others who after finding their mention in central asian records could never think that these jats could have moved from India as they belived this most fertile land to be left to aryans who were to come and start the history of India.

Again a deliberate skipping of their history by leftists (due to resistance offered to muslims) and Indian Historians (why God knows)had made them to disbelive and have a short of apathy for its writers.

Just think while muslims write their history right from muhammad times Indians history writers could think of Surjmal. What about jat sikh kings, what about jat rulers of sindh before chach what about Indo parthians who always called them jats, what about maurya kings ,while the guy like raja Nahar singh who captured delhi for Bahadur saha was never mentioned pages were written on other players of lesser contribution.jats who fought ghori ,attacked ghazani when he was returning from raids on somanath never find a mention, what one find is they were robbers of highways, story is endeless but in nutshell they doubt history as taught in indian books and are searching their past from other sources. It wil take some time to know them that they were Indian always and more Indian than many so called ancient kshtriya a fake term.

Please see this and ponder a little about unjustice to jat history.

Indian and many international scientist are burning midnight oil over who were the inhabitants of Indus valley Civilization, after many theories they made a great discovery of a language bruhei with a dravidian base still spoken in pakistani and belochistani areas adjecent to indus valley civilization and concluded that its inhabitants were dravidians ,every body wondered why they did not ask who were these bruhies to pinpoint who exactly were these indus valley people but they never did till today I too belived that there might not be any data about these bruhie people till one day when I read this book on the cast and tribe of north west india where Rose the british historian says these numbruhei people inhabiting laki mountanis are jats of johya and other clans.

When we Indians will give them their right place in history. "

Hi Narender,
sorry if i not agree
we talk about this before, and dont find any reason to belive that Arkaim have anything to do whit he aryans. This show only that central asia wasnt a backward place as we may belive. But from here to conclude that this are aryan sites is a big distance.

Yes mittani do live in Middle east, and i have reasons to belive that similar sanskrit people also live in north iran and north Pakistan an least. They show to be spread exactly were the indo-iranian languages are spread today ,exept south Iran.
I dont know why you belive that i put the schytians in the wrong group.

Soko some lies if repeated over a period of time usally take the form of truth.

Brahuis is not a southindian language but have just 10 % dravidian and 90 % local language. These people are similar to local beloch in built and are considered jats by their neighbours beloch and pathan. Some relate them to sythians also. This group just represent a group living near southern peninsula not the dravidians of south and that moved later towards north.Even jats of their own land baluchistan are ancient to them as per their own admission hence real claimant to indus valley civilization.

Vinod I am seeing more and more jats joining various discussion forms and soon true picture about our past will emerge.

The guy just echo my own views regarding antiquity of jats.

What do you think about those ideas?

BTW I saw you joining another jat forum today.

Keep it up.

Some presume that because brahui have more dialects then telugu languages show that dravidians came from the Indus valley area. you may be know the linguistic theory that put the origin of a language were are the most dialects of that language.
is true that brahui look just like local neighbours.and also we see this case in Sri Lanka were singhalese speak a IE language but theylook just any local tamil.Even genetic show that is not any genetic diference betwin singalese and the neighbouring tamils. seem is the same case as whit brahui people.
This 2 cases and many others(like hungarians or turks) are a big proove of the elite domination model- i think you heard about this model(a minority impose his language and some cultural elements over a majority).May be you agree that even if aryans came in India ,tehy are no more then 3% of population.

The theory that dravidians can move from indus to peninsular India was found a big lie when the genetics tests which asertain the origin and spread of particular group were conducted and reports were published in same sangmitra report as quoted above.

That clearly proved that dravidian people originatedand and later spread from deep peninsula nowhere near Indus valley .This coupled with almost no tace of Indus culture in darvidian population clearly proves that they can never bne the authors of this civilzation, and it than leaves only jats claimant.(POSSIBLITY OF AUSTROASIATIC PEOPLE TOO WAS REJECTED IN THE SAME REPORT)

Aryans if arived were certainly not more than 3% at best.

Your suggestion regarding Turky language does carry weight.

His ideas could be right, atleast partially, but then how do they challenge Dahiya's arguments in "Rgveda and Aryan Tribes" which sound very convincing too.
H A Rose's "Glossary of Castes and Tribes of Punjab" is being referenced very often in history books, especially about Jats, its >1000pages are claimed to give details of almost all clans in NW India. So I ordered it just now:-)) Lets see...

I have worked with Sri Lankans (Tamils and Singhlese).

Singhlese origins have been traced to Gujarat so that explains the language. As a matter of fact they use lots of prakrit/pali words in their day to day conversation.

And Singhlese are different to Tamils in physical apperance.

I had overlooked your emphasis on IN. As I said Aryan influence has been orginally from outside but Vedas might have been composed in NW India. Though there are arguments for both sides, supporting and opposing it.

It may not be completely true but how much do you agree with Talageri's geography?

lets conclude soka

like most of the indo european languages were there but it was here in this indo-gangetic plain that the most systematic of these was created here or the created one was followed every where over india n europe. Similar was the case Jats. they were made most systematic here or these systematic Jats from the vast indo-gangetic plain spread all over asia n europe loosing some of their tenetes or alphabets?:)

what is the origin Soka the great?

simialr to indo-european language was indo european JAT.

then which Jat of the world was n is most systematic today?

is it Dacian? Indian? Central Asian? European?

which one after all????

The sanskrit is a sistematic language indeed. And older languages have usaly more sistematic grammar then the new ones. But also hapend that classic languages like (scolastic)latin to develop sistematic features because of extensive use in philosophy.

The tenetes are kept the best by some guys from Afganistan, and i usualy belive that betwin Afganistan and Punjab is the birth place of jats.

central asia-i dont know if any jats there ,some pathans may be
europe-the last jat features disapierd in 19 century
india-i dont know how India can preserve customs that are disapierd in other places.must be an explication for this.so here sistematic culture have the big succes.
