When Hindus were sending their sons to serve Sikhi I don't think they considered Sikhi as a separate religion. Even today Sikh visit hindu temples freely and Hindu visit Sikh Gurudwaras without hesitation.
Are you saying Hindus sent their own sons to Sikhi to save themselves ? But then we sent our sons to Army to protect us as well. How does this work that till one point it wasn't considered a separate religion and after that it was. Even Arya Samaj denounce lot of Bhramnic rituals but they don't consider the self separate religion.
Definitely there was and there is a fine bonding among sikhs and hindus..i don't deny that
arya samajis don't consider themselves as a separate religion but sikhs do and they are..even constitution of India recognizes them a separate religion and sikhs fought for it.. and question is not what hindus think but how majority of sikhs perceive it and reason lies in khalsa formalization..
anyway leave this topic now, I may be wrong in few of my evaluations and let the people carry on their discussion...aur aaj reservation mil gaya..badhai ho bhai sabko
