Folks,

One hypothetical folklore here:

We know that the lights we see from the stars today is actually 4 or more years old depending on the distance of the stars. So, this means what we see now actually happened way back in the past on the star.

On a similar note, if hypothetically we are able to reach a planet which is say 4lightyears away and we are able to zoom on the images of earth that we see, we would be able to see events which happened 4 years back. Similarly we can go even farther to see events of Mahabharat or Ramayan. Now I know, its a far fetched idea but even airplane was a hypothetical idea in one time.

Similarly all the sound waves are part of this nature only so whatever was said during Mahabharat period would still be in this air so would it be possible to capture those sounds in some other frequency or are the sound waves lost as soon as they become past? Any theoritical physicists out there?

Good point Prashant !

It's possible by all means ! You Know we use only max 10 % ( 10 % is for extra ordinary persons ) of our mind here on earth. if we can try to use our mind more than that we can do anything. Our mind have such power that we can control everything of this universe. Have u read HG Wells novel "The Man who did Miracles". Theme of that novel was very true and practical. It all depends on our will power how much we can get that. You can do anything with your will power in this universe. The person in that novel stops the movement of Earth with his will power and i think evetrybody can do that if have that type of will power.

Few years back i tried that and within 15 days i succeed in diffusing a candle with my will power. and after that sky is the limit. but i didn't have much time and devotion. So i quit that practice. But its true that u can do anything with ur will powewr.

Regarding Physics just simple thing that "energy neither created nor destroyed". So what happened during Mahabharat period is still there in this Universe and we must have powers to see that and our mind is the key for that. That means the other 90% portion of our mind which have all the mysterious of this Universe.

I am in hurry right now and will write later about this in detail later.

Vijay,

I haven't read that novel of H.G. Wells though have read his 'Time Machine' which was fabulous too..agree to your point of will power and the hidden power of our mind which very few of us have actually been able to utilise to its actual potential. It for sure requires lots of patience, dedication and a solid routine to actually achieve powers long lost in the history of time..Tell about your candle kissa..how you did that?

Had read a series of book by a buddhist monk Lobsang Rampa who talks about Out of Body experiences where he used to visit different planets which were in other dimensions. Most of our yogis too talk about visiting different loks by going out of their body in the spirit form. Even scientiests talk about parallel worlds which exist in different dimensions, our earth being in 3rd dimension. All our past, present and future may actually be existing in different dimensions and if we have the power of moving between these dimensions, we may actually be able to see all events.

The concept of inter-galactic travel is also on the similar lines where there are time warps to cross into other galaxies. This should be the dimensions only which our yogis also talk about and with the power hidden within our bodies itself, there is lot of discovery to be done by us besides the usual path of science and physics.

umm...wish there is a large mirror somewhere in universe on which the light from mahabharat period strikes and comes back to Earth for all of us to see... that is is the only way I can think for now...LOL...

Prashant Bhai !

Vijay,

I haven't read that novel of H.G. Wells though have read his 'Time Machine' which was fabulous too..

Well, it's not a kind of novel but a story written by H. G. Wells that we used to study in our syllabus of B. SC.

agree to your point of will power and the hidden power of our mind which very few of us have actually been able to utilise to its actual potential. It for sure requires lots of patience, dedication and a solid routine to actually achieve powers long lost in the history of time..

Yes, it is possible if we have that determination and concentration.

Tell about your candle kissa..how you did that?

It's just about practice, concentration and the hard work. I did that 5-6 years back at home. I practiced daily half an hour in a separate room without any inteference . On 15th day i successfully diffused the candle sitting 4 meters away from that candle with my will power.

Had read a series of book by a buddhist monk Lobsang Rampa who talks about Out of Body experiences where he used to visit different planets which were in other dimensions. Most of our yogis too talk about visiting different loks by going out of their body in the spirit form.

Yes ur right, we can walk out of our body and visit anywhere is this Universe but that is not a piece of cake as it can consume all our whole life to get that achievement. I heard a person in Canada use to do that but he can wander on this Earth only (in 1980's). He could split his body in two persons. Like he is siting at home watching TV and simalutanously his other part was wandering in the market.

Even scientiests talk about parallel worlds which exist in different dimensions, our earth being in 3rd dimension. All our past, present and future may actually be existing in different dimensions and if we have the power of moving between these dimensions, we may actually be able to see all events.

Prashant I don't know how much u know about physics, but the theory is that everything is in four dimensonal.e. time being the fouth dimenson and that leads to the concept of time travelling. Time travelling means we can trevel into past or future.

The research is going on to built a Time Machine but paradoxes of building a time machine is hurduling the research.

I do believe both in modern Science and our ancient science i.e power of our mind and body.

The person who believes in yoga know that if they can awake the Kundilini ( A superpower inside our body near our nevel ) thay can do anything in this Universe.

Well, now i except some ridiculous comments on this Kundilini theory too.

About the past and even for the future events we can built Time Machine and can travel in any direction.

I am positive about that.

RK Sir it's not magic or illusion but pure Science !

I expected some positive ideas from you RK Sir,

But ur comments doesn't affect my thinking and let me explain you why ???

First of all quote from Stephan Hawkins : "A time machine will be built someday, but has not yet been built, so the tourists from the future cannot reach this far back in time"

Another viewpoint, "The idea of warping space to travel to the past is more plausible than traveling faster than the speed of light because it does not break the laws of 'Einstein's relativity".

Yes RK Sir, i am talking about the Time Machine in real.

When came to know that in 1908 A German scientist produced the theory of the 4th dimension i.e. Time i knew we can do it but don't know within how much time. I hope you have read about 'Minkowski space'.

Minkowski's viewpoint,

"The views of space and time which I wish to lay before you have sprung from the soil of experimental physics, and therein lies their strength. They are radical. Henceforth space by itself, and time by itself, are doomed to fade away into mere shadows, and only a kind of union of the two will preserve an independent reality."

Warmhole theory

Warmhole theory is going to help in the constructiion of Time Machine.

A wormhole can created somehow. One end of the wormhole is accelerated to nearly the speed of light, perhaps with an advanced spaceship, and then brought back to the point of origin. Due to time dilation, the accelerated end of the wormhole has now experienced less subjective passage of time than the stationary end. An object that goes into the stationary end would come out of the other end in the past relative to the time when it enters.

To read about warmhole theory and how it can be implemented, just check this link :

And u must read the theory of Dr. Igor D. Novikov ( Russian Scientist who lead the concept of time travelling )

Still open to debate on both technical and spiritual issues.

Vijay

Vijay,

We human being like to live in fantasies and even scientists know that. Producing theories and then creating real life situations are two very different things. Let us look into the physics of Mahabharat events now and see if one can ever reach to the point to see them.. Optical wave front from Mahabharat originated, let us say about 3000 yrs ago and travelled in all directions. Mnay other wave fronts from Earth and other parts of universe also interfered with that and produced a resultant wave front, about which we have no clue. That wave front has reached now all around in universes and is 3000 light yrs away. Every point on Earth is now maginified on the wave front millions or billions of time and mixed with millions or billions of other wave fronts. To visualise the events one will have to extract the information from that wave front first and then presnt in front of human eye. Think of the size of the sensors to extract the information ? Each sensor will be of the size of almost a galaxy or many times larger. Signal to noise ratio will be almost zero on such a scale. What are the practical time scales to reach such distant wave fronts and the technologies required to do so ? One can produce a theory for almost anything and that does not mean it can produce practical solutions. Egyptians learned the art of creating mummies thinking one day dead will come to life....

may be I am not wise enough to understand the depth of your statement.

If the light of an star reach the earth in 4 years, what we see is the thing that started its journey 4 years ago. The light we see is 4 years old. We see it only when it reaches earth and not when it was started. So how does that mean we are seeing the past?

Yes you are right optical wave lengths originated around 3000 years ago is hardly too recognize now.

But i think my point of view was about the Time Machine and i think we discussed that before at chaupal once in the past.

Arun,

Just don't go on some sentences but plz think about the logic and the reason about what he wants to know ?

Well, i don't think that u didn't get what is the real point behind this thread.

So just pour ur thoughts on this topic, buddy !

Vijay,

Man has always been fascinated to know about his future and not so much about his past. Now wonder we have so many fortune tellers and not past tellers on the streets. Things like Time machines make a good topic for discussions and nothing more. Concepts like Time Machine are nothing but another way of selling the concept of immortality.

RK^2

We humans are obsessed with 'seeing' as a form of perception. 'Seeing' the occurence of an event or existence of an object is not important, realizing is important.
Another thing we humans are obsessed with is quantity and numbers, 'how big?', 'how much?', how long?', 'how many?' and so on. We dont realize that an infinity of everything's existence already exists.

Naveen Bhai, its not obesession but it is with a desire to explore and learn and thats the way to realise. Perception through our senses leads to realisation, and the way to percieve is different for different senses.

You cannot realise a persons sadness if you donot see him sad/weeping or hear him crying or percieve his sadness by your senses. To relise anything first of all you have to perieve it and then it depends on you how you realise it.

Well, actually, I think collectively mankind has more historians than fortune
tellers and astrologers.

I think on a broader term, we spend more time on the past than the
future.

The concept of time travel is fascinating no matter what. To me "time
travel" is the real interesting issue...not so much as "seeing past events".

Seeing light coming from the stars after several years is interesting I guess.
But is that any different than watching a movie or documentary ? Isn't
a movie or documentary really captured light ? ...Perhaps I am stretching
it but I think the parallels are there.

I think similar reasoning can be applied to the written work. As well as audio
mediums.

What would be interesting is being able to change the past,
or step in and influence the future. We could experiment with history
until we get it just right! But if we could *ALL* go back and start
changing, I wonder what would happen.

Trying to make sense of all the material on time travel, worm holes and so on
is a daunting task. Just trying to understand the definition of time
is hard.

Few years back i tried that and within 15 days i succeed in diffusing a candle with my will power. and after that sky is the limit. but i didn't have much time and devotion. So i quit that practice. But its true that u can do anything with ur will powewr.

Haan yaar. Good point. Interesting to learn what you did with the candle.
I tried to use my will power for other more mundane purposes...like
chorree patana :D ;) Tu faaltoo mein candle kyun bhujha raha tha ? Hun ?

There was this book I had "Miracle of Mana Force" by Madalene C. Morris
(I think I have it right). It described a strategy where you could use your
will power to influence (only in a good way) others by directing energies
(mana) to act on your behest.

I tried it on a pretty lady back in my college days. Just for experimentation.
Seriously. No kidding. And I have reason to believe that there was something
in that book (and I am as sceptical as you get.)

The book was later stolen! And I have not been able to get another
copy (never needed to I guess ;) :D ). The book is out of print.

Bhateeje, this art/ science or whatever one wishes to call it, has existed for as long as we human being. Man and woman both have tried various tricks to attract each other. There are Mantras / Jadu/ tonas etc which people have been using. Even in modern times there are people who practice such things;

http://www.seductionscience.com/

Seducing some one is ceretainly an art which has sound scietific basis. Bhateeje it will pay more to start an Institute of Seduction Scince than the one for Computer Science...hahahhaa... Ofcourse you will make a very successful director for such institute...

We may be spending more time on past but pay more money to know/ correct our future. No wonder one finds people with gem stones almost on every finger of rich people. There might be more historians in universities but certainly none running a shop on high street...No one will pay a penny to a history teller on road side where as people will que for a fortune teller..
