Folks,
One hypothetical folklore here:
We know that the lights we see from the stars today is actually 4 or more years old depending on the distance of the stars. So, this means what we see now actually happened way back in the past on the star.
On a similar note, if hypothetically we are able to reach a planet which is say 4lightyears away and we are able to zoom on the images of earth that we see, we would be able to see events which happened 4 years back. Similarly we can go even farther to see events of Mahabharat or Ramayan. Now I know, its a far fetched idea but even airplane was a hypothetical idea in one time.
Similarly all the sound waves are part of this nature only so whatever was said during Mahabharat period would still be in this air so would it be possible to capture those sounds in some other frequency or are the sound waves lost as soon as they become past? Any theoritical physicists out there?
