well gandhi-nehru family is collectively hated by many indians...
people are coming to their senses after a long period of darkness..
and indira is everybodys prime suspect in LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI jis death...he was the real hero of 1965....
1971 wasnt even a proper war......bangladeshi mukti vahini was fighting along with our brave soldiers.....it was not a huge political or national risk..

but 1965 was a pre-emptive strike against a massive paki armed buildup..

On a serious note..while we all keep on harping on the ills of Nehru-Gandhi legacy, what exactly are we doing to stop them? They all are coming in power only because people are choosing them - do we really have lot of choices..in Indian politics, we have to select best from the worst..

I have voted thrice in my life and both for BJP. First time, I voted for them cause of their agendas to fight the terrorism, curbing Article 370 in kashmir and bringing along Uniform civil code for all religions..they failed in all 3 promises when they came to power and they were more feeble than congress in fighting terrorism..they just focused on making Ram temple while the common man was dying to have 2 times food n clean drinking water..this was the main reason for their fall..Next 2 times, I still voted for BJP as my mom had joined the party :) and congress was no good either..

If we really want to bring the change, we really need to float a party of educated middle class with candidates picked from all walks of life who just want to correct the state of our country and not just for power n money..till then we won't gain anything by criticizing the family legacy's in politics. Family legacy is in every field be it movies, army, underworld or politics so that should never be a concern..

Dont know what offended you.. na hi maine unke lie koi disrespect dikhayee na hi kuch kaha sirf itna pucha ki unhone aisa kya kya kiya jo unhe itna mahaan banata hai

I am asking this not because i want to prove something but because i do not know anything about him besides the that fact that Ajit Singh overtook his legacy and has been winning elections from Baghpat just because he is Chaudhary Charan Singh's Son.

On a serious note - Please enlighten me on his accompalishments Prashant

Bhai Ch Charan Singh was a great man... no doubt ... but to correct you.. kissano ke liye ... m not talking abt HAryana and UP and rejasthan...

Kisaano ke liye sabse jyada jo kiya hai woh hai HD Devgowda ... aap iss baat ko maane ya naa maane... Devgowda ne sirf karnataka he nahi .. saare hindustaan ke kisaano ke liye sabse jyada kiya hai.

Net pe to criticism bhi hai aur tarif bhi.. i would request you to enlighten me with the facts you know and kindly share them with me.. i am not being sarcastic but trust me i do not know much about Chaudhary Sahab and would like to know it from you who belongs to his belt.

I do not need to ask my elders when i have my elder brothers like you to teach me. My elders still vote for Ajit Singh(just beeing Chaudhary Saab's son) who is disliked by a majority of youth for a simple reason - Not doing anything for the region

Please enlighten me more with Chaudhary Saab's works... trust me am craving to know...

He was a honest man who had the pain of poor man in his heart .

Tried to help farmers and poor people with the budget that was unique in many ways.

As per my observation Lal Bhadur Shastri and Dev Gouda were other good prime ministers .

Worst were IK Gujaral .VP Singh and Atal Bhihari Bajpayi.

Another interesting fact.. right of wrong dong know but app. neither does Sonia Gandhi or Manmohan Singh has a group of advisors like Vajpayee had...


Talking about Mr. Charan Singh, he did a good job but then i think his legacy is really not carried in a proper manner by his son and on ground levels in his constituency too he had too little to offer.
